The shop itself is in a little plaza with ample parking. Once you walk in, you're bound to be enticed by the beautiful rocks, minerals, and crystals there. They also have beautiful handmade miniature scenes consisting of an arrangement of crystals (I bought one!), gem trees, jewelry, and sun catchers. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, welcoming us in and answering our questions. They opened display cases and allowed us to touch wares, made recommendations, and we learned plenty during our visit. Prices are reasonable and we couldn't help but peruse for some time, maybe an hour or an hour and a half. We walked out with quite the collection. I'll be sure to return when I'm in Peoria again.

They took the time to sit down with me, explain everything, answer all of my questions, and even walk the store with me. As a small business owner, having a place like Two Sisters Warehouse to display my handmade creations is such an incredible opportunity. Without them, it would be much more difficult to get my products in front of the community. They truly support local makers and small businesses, and it shows in everything they do. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and inspiring. The vendors are wonderful, the staff is incredibly friendly, and you can tell everyone works together to create a fun shopping experience. This one is fortunately still open and is no way related to the Acme Comics in Normal, IL (which has closed recently). I am bias towards this store as I have been here many times. This store is my first place to scope out used video games. They don't have a large selection of current generation stuff, but they do have a lot of 'retro' games. Think NES, SNES, N64, PS2, Gameboy and the like. Everything is moderately priced, if not sometimes lower/higher than market value. But it's a locally owned business, so I don't mind paying a few more dollars to support a great shop. Since their inventory shifts, there is usually always something new to see when I go in. Lately, I have been getting old GamePro, Nintendo Power, Tips & Tricks magazines for $2 a piece. Talk about a nostalgic trip. They offer a large selection of CDs but they seem to be shying away from those in the more recent years. I believe they also do have vinyl and music dvds as well. I used to purchase a large amount of cds back in the day when they had 4/$10. Still reaping the benefits of that today with a massive music collection. Moving on, this place is a Comic shop first and foremost. While they do sell other things, obviously, I am betting the comic book scene is the bulk of their customers. One of my friends alone has a massive pull list there. I don't know much about comics, but they offer a wall of new arrivals as well as your $0.50 comics. The staff can be a bit inattentive at times, but they never seem bothered when you ask them for help. All in all, a pretty great local shop.

However, my last trip I was told flat out that certain clothes were too expensive for me. This has happened more than once. And let me be the judge of that. Then I was given unsolicited advice in how to mother my child. I also got judged when she learned my child was not potty trained. I have honestly tried avoiding conversations with the store owner because her judging me has been happening more often. I understand she also gets customers who do not stay on top of their kids and leave messes, but I have consistently had them pick up after themselves. She must have me mixed up with someone else who never does that. Or she takes one look at me and makes who preconceived judgment calls about me. Honestly, I am starting to look at other baby shops. I will travel up to 45 minutes versus the 3 minutes if I can avoid another uncomfortable conversation with her.
