This is a very bare bones basic ballpark. Came here for a Low A Jupiter game and the energy was very low. Only one concession stand was open. This one poor lady had to service the whole stadium. The line ran like 20 people deep at times. In a cool downtown/shopping area. Very nice. Free parking lot if you look for the signs. Less than a 5 minute walk to the front of the gate. I have been to Roger Dean Stadium twice. The first time was 2011 for spring training and the second was this year. Unless you are a St. Louis Cardinal fan the year 2011 does not mean much. But to the fans it was the last time the beloved Cardinals won a World Series which was their 11th. The Stadium is a wonderful venue for spring baseball. It has all the amenities of a major league stadium only smaller. I am still sporting the sunburn I received almost a week ago. Most of the Roger Dean Stadium seating is in the sun and Florida sun is powerful. With any venue that has big league sports you will pay big league prices for hot dogs and beer. $17 for two hotdogs. Yikes! Interesting to me is Anheuser-Busch no longer owns the Cardinals, but all beer is an Anheuser product. To me the big attraction is how close to the field you can get and the players will interact with the fans and especially the kids. Now if the St. Louis Cardinals win a world series this year we will all know who the good luck charm is :) read more

Nice stadium to see the players and enjoy some spring training baseball. Not a bad seat in the stadium but it's not cheap either. Rules of the stadium now include no bags of any kind, which makes it difficult to bring a kid with you and no cash, credit cards cards only. The food selection is pretty weak, they need a bit more variety. Lots of carb loading and not much is kid friendly. Our seats were covered by the sun, which made the game much more enjoyable. Bring a hat and sunscreen in case you aren't covered by the shade. There is a nice shop to pick up souvenirs but it would be nice for some lower priced items too. Plenty of clean bathrooms and the staff are mostly friendly. Parking can be tough if you get there late, but there are some free spots just north of the stadium by the apartment complex. read more

Well "The Grapefruit League" for Spring Training in Florida was my mission and I completed my quest. Roger Dean Stadium provided my bucket list item with a game with the New York Mets as the staring attraction. Ok, let's start with parking. Wasn't a fan of parking in a gas field, I'm more accustomed to having a real parking lot, especially when transporting a senior citizen to the game. Do demerit points for the funky parking. Now the stadium itself is a relic of the past which could use an upgrade. The stadiums of Arizona have understood this and almost all teams have built complex's to support MLB teams. My seats were amazing behind the dugout. Plenty of foot room and close to amenity's for my game day snacks. Visited the gift shop and wow they had an amazing stash of spring training swag. Grabbed a cool Hawaii looking baseball hat for the collection. Now weather was overcast and some rain did come down at end of the game but that wasn't the stadiums fault. We all had a great day at the ballpark, so if your in the area I highly recommend spending a day at the park. read more

First time attending a spring training game! It was phenomenal! Love how close the team is no matter where you sit, if you are fan of baseball I highly recommend attending a spring training game. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we will be back next year. The awesome thing about Roger Dean and going to a game in Jupiter there are so many restaurants within walking distance to the stadium. While in town I learned that is not the case at the other neighboring stadiums like in West Palm Beach. See a game here, also credit card only no cash can be used to buy food or drinks inside stadium. We also prepaid for garage parking which is located across the street behind the Courtyard. We have been here several years in a row for baseball tournaments. The place is huge with many fields. Today we were on the cardinals side. The fields are fine for the kids playing. There are a few rows of metal bleachers in front of each field. Unfortunately not many areas are covered or shaded. And it gets very hot. The real negative here is the lack of bathrooms. There was only one porta potty and only one physical bathroom for all the fields. And they were disgusting -- wet floors and with over flowing garbage cans and very stinky. So for playing, it's great. For parking or viewing, not so much. read more

Rob H is very rude. Barry at the Marlins practice complex is very rude and condescending and invasive with the wand. Now Mr Goodman at the Cardinals complex is very nice. Tickets are way too expensive and the you young man at the right window isn't helpful at all. $53 for reserved seats is way too much for games that don't count with 2 bad franchises. read more

5 stars solely because the greatest National League baseball team of all time plays here! The St. Louis Cardinals! I did not go in. I had to stop by though and walk around the stadium and take some pictures, just because. There was a game there later on that night, but nothing was open (team shop, concessions) that early when I went. The lady in the office was nice, and I got a team schedule as a souvenir. Very nice, clean, friendly, and accessible ballpark. Went to the Yankees-Marlins game and had great seats in section 203 with overhead shade. Great sight lines, plenty of refreshment stands, easy parking with golf cart shuttles, and easy exit after the game. Friendly ushers, including one who not only offered to take my picture (I accepted), but even let me move down and sit 3 rows behind home plate for the final inning. Prefer this park, overall, to the Palm Beach ballpark. read more

Checked out the Opening Day game for the 2022 season. The location is ideally located in an area close to shops and restaurants and perfect options to have before and after a game. This stadium doesn't seem as large as others, but it offers the perfect size to enjoy the game and get closer to the action and players. (I ordered tickets online and added on the additional batting practice option. Tbh, not sure if that was needed as you can see practice from any place in the stadium so long as you have a ticket). It's an okay stadium, and the Cardinals are invested here but it's just old and getting a bit tired. Food is average - some of the best options are the Philly cheese steak down the left field line or the grilled hot dog/Italian sausage stand down the right field line where you can get a Dean Dog with grilled onions & peppers for $8 (same price at the BBQ place down the left field line but no onions & peppers). Otherwise it's pretty generic pizza, nachos, BBQ, etc. Drink options include the standard overpriced beer, wine, soda, and now Bud Light Seltzer! but at least they also have a couple stands where you can also get overpriced mixed drinks. The big issues with Roger Dean Stadium include: - Lack of nearby parking unless you're a season ticket holder, most people end up getting duped into paying $10 to park at a surface lot on the FAU campus then walk 10 minutes when I understand there is a free public lot slightly further away or pre-paid parking for the same $10-12 range closer to the stadium if you know to get it - Seats are all aligned to look at second base, not home plate, and are very tightly spaced so you'll get to know your neighbors very well after a few innings - All seats in the 100 level are in the sun as are the 200 level behind home plate (for most of the game). If you don't live in Florida, make sure you lather on the sunscreen and drink lots of water since only about 20% of the seats are shaded and those seats quite frankly aren't very good If you want to see the Cardinals (or for the few that want to see the Marlins) you'll have to deal with Roger Dean Stadium. Spring Training in general is a great experience and I would advise you check out the practice fields starting around 10:00 AM. If you're looking for player autographs or proximity, sit near the bullpens inside the stadium or try the practice fields in the morning. With netting all the way down each side of the main field there's virtually no interaction anymore with players inside the stadium. Fine for me, but the netting does also provide a bit of a distraction when watching the game as well. read more

Besides hosting spring training for the Marlins and the Cardinals, they also host four minor league teams: the Jupiter Hammerheads, Palm Beach Cardinals and the Gulf Coast Cardinals The stadium I believe can hold around 6,800 people. They have plenty of room for concession stands and promotional booths. It's a wide open field without really any bad seats. One could also book a sky box at this stadium as well. We were there to watch a pre-season game between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Washington Nationals. All the hitting was in the first inning, the rest of the game was a pitching duel which was good if you like that. I want action so that I won't fall asleep during the game. read more

As far as minor league ballparks go, RDC is aesthetically very nice. It should come as no surprise, though, given two MLB teams use it for Spring Training. Despite being in its 25th season, you wouldn't really guess it was that old. It's well maintained, tidy, and very well designed. It's also in a great location, not far from an upscale dining and shopping area. Free parking is just a few minutes away, making it a very economical place to visit. Not only that, but veteran tickets are free. On the downside, when I went, there was only one food kiosk open. Now, given how few people were in attendance (shocking, to me, for a Saturday night game), it made sense, but the selection was very limited. Basically only your standard ballpark fare, nothing especially unique. They also ran out of pretzels right before I got to the counter which stinks if you're not looking for a meat option. It's a common complaint for minor league parks, though: very few vegetarian friendly entrees. They did also have a quality ice cream stand, though, so that's a plus, and their beer selection looked good as well. So would I go again? Depending on who was playing, probably, yeah. I would also make time to stop by some of the nearby restaurants and shops, plus the nearby escape room. If you're going to go to a game here, make a full day of it, it's worth it. Given that it hosts two separate teams, there are plenty of home game opportunities, too! read more

Finally went to my first Spring Training game and had a blast! I'm from a city that has a minor league affiliate of the Marlins and decided to ask my Cardinals-loving fellow Yelper to go with me for opening day weekend, Marlins vs. Cardinals. For an out-of-towner, it was odd because the stadium itself is like inside of a subdivision/town center called Abacoa that also is home to Florida Atlantic University but kinda cool at the same time. I bought tickets for the parking garage ahead of time online and was very glad I did as the garage was nice and cool and directly across the street. The tickets for the games were about $35 plus tax and fees, not bad to see major and minor league players. I do like that they have bag checkers and metal detectors at the entrances. I feel a bit safer because of it. Our seats for both days were behind the net and pretty much behind homeplate in the 200 sections. The view is incredible and you can see everything. The concessions put my city's to shame a bit. Not only do that have the regular ballpark fare, they also have items like fish and steak tacos, Marlins/Cardinals-themed hot dogs, guys walking around selling tall margaritas, soft-serve and coned ice cream, dippin' dots, cheesesteaks, loaded nachos, etc. It did suck that they were charging $5 for water though. I felt like a fish out of water (yes, pun intended) walking around. There was a ton of Cardinals fans in attendance that weekend but I held my own. They were pretty nice to me and I'm not sure if that's because I was with my friend who's Cardinals fan. One of the Marlins vendors told us that most of them were really rude to her but my friend assured her they weren't all like that. Attended a Florida State league A ball baseball game tonight. Very disappointed at the cost of a 16 ounce beer at the stadium. I am embarrassed to say that I paid $14 for a beer. These prices are for professional sporting events during spring training or the regular season. But Roger Dean feels that they can take advantage of true baseball fans who come to their park and watch Baseball games and charge major league prices. It's no wonder why there were only 50 people at the game tonight. Something needs to change in Jupiter, Florida. read more

A great stadium, not too small, but not exactly a big venue. Great sight lines, from nearly everywhere. We were seated right by the right field foul pole, and had a great view of everything going on. Were were right at field level, in the second row, right behind the visiting team's bull pen. We had purchased tickets for a Florida League game, the Fire Frogs vs the Hammerheads. Our tickets were $25 and included dinner of hot dogs, burgers and sausages, as well as popcorn, peanuts and soft-drinks. A really great family outing! read more

Baseball is my favorite sport. Minor league, MLB, spring training....bring it on! Roger Dean Stadium is placed in the perfect location in Jupiter with cute shops, restaurants and mini golf all within walking distance from the park. This visit we came for Jupiter Hammerheads minor league game. It was furry friends night (Friday nights) and you can bring you dog with you to the game! We purchased tickets at the box office, open seating so we could sit anywhere we wanted. Hamilton R Head the mascot is one of the best I have seen. So great interacting with the kids and even big kids! He has got some great dance moves!! Limited snacks and beverage kiosks are for sale during the smaller games. But everything is open during spring training! Its real close to 95 and a fantastic evening or afternoon to spend with your family. This is primarily for the Roger Dean gift shop. I went to spring training this year and attended a game at Roger Dean stadium. I was inside the stadium and saw the griftshop, I saw the entrance appeared blocked but I could see lots of people shopping. I asked an employee that was near the door if I could go in to buy a program. He said yes and watched me go through the door. I got a few feet inside when a lady(I'm assuming manger as she was the only one older that college age) started screaming at me. Yes, screaming. I ask her what I did wrong and she said "you came in that door!!!!" I said I was inside the stadium and an employee said I could come in that door. She proceeded to raise her voice and tell me I needed to go outside and re-enter. At that point, I thought this was ridiculous and called it out to them on what they were saying, there were other people shopping. "So I have a ticket to the game, I'm inside the stadium, the giftshop is inside the stadium, and I'm physically in the gift shop, but you want me to walk outside and walk back in? Do you want my money or not?" The lady huffed and puff and said "fine, but you cannot do that again!" Lol I said lady after this scene you will not have to worry about me again. I asked the younger girl if I could purchase a Cardinals program"whatever" and slammed it on the counter in front of her boss. I was embarrassed for the way I was being treated. That said, I also wanted a Marlins program and found another staffer that came in after the scene and asked if she would please get me a Marlins program, because on Cardinals day at the stadium they don't bring out Marlins programs. She was very nice and went in the back and got one. I thanked her and said "at least someone here has customer service skills!" The other girl and manager both heard it and made mad faces and the young girl mumbled something under her breath. This was a terrible experience and I think I will skip this park next year when I go back to Spring Training, just because of how rude the staff in the gift shop were. I've never been to a minor league or spring training game before so I was quite pleased with the intimate nature of the setting. We got pretty good seats down front for about $40 but it was a bit unnecessary since most seats were right on top of the action. In retrospect, it would have been a comparable experience to sit in the $20 seats I'm sure. The stadium had good facilities and plenty of concessions, though pricing was a bit steep at nearly $5 for a smallish sized dog or a small ice cream. But hey, people gotta hustle and make money. Totally understand that. Finally, I wanted to say some nice words about the awesome staff there. I was looking for a family type bathroom for my kid to use, so I sought out an usher for help. She knew of one in the park, but after taking us around a bit, couldn't find it. With that she walked us over to the front office and asked if we could use their private bathroom and they gladly agreed. I gotta say, they totally saved the day with that move! My kid got to pee in style rather than being subjected to a chorus of old man beer farts in the men's room. Big points for that! read more

When I was a kid and we came down to Jupiter for spring break every year, the Atlanta Braves had their spring training here just as they were doing their worst to first turnaround. And NO, Tom Glavine, I have NOT forgotten how you refused to acknowledge me or anyone else clamoring for your autograph in 1991. Now I am older, and it is my godson that's just getting into baseball, so when I came down for a week we had to check out a game at the new to me Roger Dean Stadium. We saw a Marlins-Mets game with Johan Santana pitching. And, in something you can only really see in spring training games, we got to watch Johan warm up from about 15 feet away (see pic). The stadium itself is great. Plenty of open space, reasonably priced food (especially compared to my usual Yankee Stadium stomping grounds) and plenty of open space. We had great seats between home plate and 1st base. The stadium definitely gets packed on weekend games in the spring, so buy tickets ahead of time. My godson wasn't completely ready to follow a live baseball game, but it was definitely a great Saturday. We saw Johan Santana and Hanley Ramirez (pre temper tantrum) up close, we ate hot dogs and dippin dots, and some team won the game. And best of all, no Tom Glavine there to ruin the fun for everyone. read more

I went here for the Jupiter Craft Beer Festival and had a blast. It was held not within the actual stadium but on the side, but there was plenty of room for the 50-plus breweries that represented and provided free samples of some of their tap list. Overall, I was pleased with the parking, which was right across from the stadium, and ease to get around. Great place to attend events. read more

Nice stadium which we had practically to ourselves on a Tuesday nights as Jupiter beat up on Fort Myers. Only a crowd of about 100 people and it was more like a library setting than a baseball game atmosphere. Still, I would rather it be empty than packed to the gils because there was free parking practically right next to the stadium. Some coupon was also located and we entered 2-1 paying only $8.50 total. My bottled bud light which was $6.50 was almost as much as my ticket if I had paid full price. This is advanced A baseball, but these guys play hard and itbwas a decent game for us hardcore baseball fans. I did get bit by various insects later in the evening, but on the plus side there are no ushers or assigned seats and on this night if you wanted front row it was yours for the taking. read more

Received free tickets to a baseball game by donating some non-perishable food for Roger Dean's "Strike Out Hunger" campaign. Our tickets read "Standing Room Only." Since I didn't know where that was, I asked an usher who told me, "Sit anywhere." My son and I chose seats behind home plate. ( and in the shade ) Our seats were fantastic, we helped a good cause, and got free tickets. On top of that, the Palm Beach Cardinals defeated the Daytona Tortugas. Loved the mascot race and the other between inning activities. The stadium was somewhat empty of fans. I had a really good time and would encourage more folks to go out to the ball park! Parking spaces are available in a nearby lot ( no charge ) or on the street close to the stadium. Didn't use any concessions as we planned to eat after the game, so I can't comment on those. read more
