We signed up for a swing analysis. Randall walked my son through his swing on video pointing out the things he was doing well. Then he pulled up video of some of the best hitters in the MLB. (Guys my son worships) He showed the extra fundamentals my son could learn by demonstrating these techniques used by star players. My son was hooked. (And so was I.) We bought a multi-lesson package. The training was well thought out and fun for my child. It was also challenging. It forced him to learn new things and learn how to be coached at a higher level. His swing improved dramatically in a short amount of time. And this isn't just speculation. The instructors use cutting edge equipment that tracks every aspect of the swing and the results. Last but not least, the talent that trains with Gradum is elite. My son worked side by side with kids his age that were crushing the ball. Often we'd arrive early and see too high school talent, boys and girls, putting on laser shows in the cage. But the highlight was following a major leaguer training waiting for the season starting up. This was the review I was looking for when I was researching. Highly recommend this crew and faculty.

HIT a Double was recommended and we went over to check it out, which is not in a usual store front. The store is in a warehouse district off Clint Moore, but the front door does face the roadway to make it easier to find with plenty of parking. We walked in and were instantly greeted by staff. The store is a candy-land of baseball equipment! My son tried on or tested everything to make sure it was the right fit with plenty of colors and brand options. We ended up with a new gray glove, green helmet, black bat, blue backpack, black pants and green socks! One of the cool things HIT has is a glove steamer, which sits in what looks like a popcorn machine to soften the hard leather. It takes a few minutes and then its good to go! The store has had other locations before and moved to this location in 2019. They do a lot of business on the web and for league teams across the county. We had a really nice experience and don't be intimidated, the staff are thoughtful and genuine about their knowledge of the equipment. We will probably be back if my son continues to play.

So much so, he is enrolled in all of their summer programs. Hidden along Old Dixie Highway in Vero Beach, you could easily pass the place if you're not paying attention. But once inside, you'll quickly learn why The Field House is a premier indoor baseball and softball - or more appropriately stated - a sports specific type facility. A fully equipped facility, they offer cardio equipment like treadmills and bike, a fully turfed training area with lots of running space, and several indoor batting cages with a hitting and pitching area. From the outside this place looks deceptive, but they've used every square inch of space inside. Baseball for the boys and softball for the girls with Coach Holly. My daughter Kate was into softball in Fort Lauderdale and is interested in starting the program. The Field House even has a speed and agility program for those wanting to take their game to the next level. Personal training is a plus, but how does an older guy like me ask someone much younger to train them? Any ideas? Clean facilities - including a well-stocked bathroom. Energy bars and similar food items available if you've forgotten yours at home. Parking out front and to the side, just pay attention as this place is easy to miss as you travel north or south on Old Dixie Highway. William E. Lewis Jr. Vero Beach, Florida
