Like many of you, I relocated to this area and selected Dr. Pugh's practice because of the sign on the bullding that said "Gentle Denistry". How's that for a sophisticated selection process? However, I have been a patient there for a little over five years and have had four crowns installed in that time period. Each of the dentists and their assistants have been absolutely terrific. This month, I had Dr. Tracy Couillard as my primary dentist, and Sofia, as her assistant. They could not have been more caring or more professional. I am a difficult patient (hard for them to get my tooth numb) and they were very understanding (and quick once it was numbed!) It is now two days after the installation of permanent crown and I have no discomfort whatsoever. I just read a couple of negative reviews, and I can tell you that I never experienced anything but pleasant and professional care from this practice, including the extraordinary front desk staff (Carolina, Barbara and others). So it truly is Gentle Dentistry and I would highly recommend Dr. Couillard to any new patient.

Three weeks after the procedure, I was in severe pain because part of the nerve had apparently been left behind. When I returned, I was told to wait for it to die on its own and I was charged over $200 to be told they didnt do thier job correctly. Now, one year later, I have an infection in the same tooth because the root canal was apparently not cleaned all the way to the bottom. I now need additional treatment and crown reconstruction. This office has cost me a tremendous amount of time, pain, and money. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend going literally anywhere else. From what I can gather many other friends and colleagues who have gone here have shared a bad experience.

I had issues after that and he would see me immediately- was very polite and courteous along with his staff. I continued to have issues and would repeat asking "Is there a hole left in there?" I also explained that there was la bump in the middle of the extraction. He stated each time "No everything looks great." In 12/22, I had intense sinus pain on the side where the tooth was extracted. Again, went in and was told the same thing - "no everything looks good." By mid January I was in so much pain, I was impaired pretty much to lying in bed and icing it. I was referred to a place in Clearwater/FL who assessed me and diagnosed me right away with a dental boil (the bump) which indicates trouble to begin with and an oral antral fistula (which is an opening like a hole) I was shocked that Grady being in this profession could not diagnose a simple dental boil nor the oral antral fistula for 8 months. and seeing me many times. Now, I am scheduled to have surgery to close this opening which is the cause of the severe sinus pain. It is going on nearly a year of pain. Yet again another dentist making me feel like I was crazy each time I said "I really think something is not right." With that being said, I would not recommend this office for any major dental work. I have learned now that I will never have any major work done unless there is an Oral surgeon that does the work. Always go with your gut instincts! The office staff and Grady were very personable and very courteous every time. I give them 5/5 stars for that. They would get me in right away when I called with concern. I think Grady is a great person. I just don't think he has the expertise to handle major work.

He scheduled my dental work in a couple different visits so that he didn't have to rush through to try to beat the clock and have feeling coming back too quickly. I really appreciated it. I was able to have a pain free dental experience. They don't try to "upsell you" and talk you into getting work done that isn't necessary. They do their best to make care of only what you need. I needed two crowns after not seeing a dentist for about 4 years (due to the upselling and redhead thing) and they made them right there in the office. So I didn't have to leave with a temporary and then go through the whole thing over again. I wont ever go to anyone else! Thanks Dr. Alvarez.

My wife has sensitive teeth and her hygienist was the best she ever had. Linda, my hygienist and Dr. Alverez were great as well. We found a new home for dental care.
