We drove over the Delaware River to Palmyra, NJ, on word that Roger Wilco had a good selection of Asian (Chinese) liquor that would be useful for upcoming holidays. Sad to say, that wasn't really the case. While there was a fair amount of Japanese Sake (rice wine), there was precious little from the Middle Kingdom. We were able to pick up two bottles of what we could use, but left a couple more at the cashier when they explained that what we thought was on sale, was not. So, although there seemed to be a decent inventory of wines and American hard stuff, it didn't compare with what was available at places like Joe Canal's Discount Liquor Outlets, where there is much more on the shelves at better prices. Pretty decent selection of beer, wine and liquor. The staff were very helpful when making my selections and if I had inquires about certain items. When it came to the cashier, she was really friendly and she was quick-which I like. There were long lines, but the cashier was so quick, she got people through the lines so quickly. A great selection of beer on hand as well as wine and spirits, but was able to find some great beer for reviewing and nice they allow you to break up the packs if you will like to get a solo can or bottle. Although, just be aware there is an up charge when doing so, but for many places that is what it cost for the connivence of doing so. This place is everything, while I was out of town one day I had a bottle of moscato wine. I went back to Pennsylvania and was super mad when I found out they do not have the wine and the distribution company can't sell that particular bottle in the whole PA. My husband was so sure that I could cross the bridge in to NJ and I would be able to get that particular bottle. No only did they have the bottle but they had other options for a great price. While visiting Philly for the weekend, some fellow beer nerds recommended stopping by this Roger Wilco location (as opposed to the one on the other side of the highway). This place is definitely unique, with its geodesic dome and mural artwork on the building! They don't make them like this back home... So my girl and I parked and I grabbed a handy dandy shopping cart. I don't often use a cart when going on beer runs, but I'm certainly glad I did! It was really neat to see liquor, wine and beer all under one roof. As someone who works/lives in more restrictive states, I've gotta say it's convenient to get them all in the same spot. I headed over to the beer section to peruse. It warmed the cockles of my heart to see dusty Belgian bottles along with American beers and a freaking United Nations-like selection of others. I'm fairly certain I've never seen Lithuanian, Ukranian and Lebanese beer. Ever. Anyway, I happily picked up a few Belgians and American-produced Belgian-style beers. Getting stuff from The Lost Abbey was particularly satisfying! Next I ventured into the cold beer section to stock up on local IPA/DIPA's. Definitely found some interesting stuff to share with friends back home! And to boot, it was cheaper than expected. If I'm ever back up in this area, I'll have to stop in again! read more

This Roger Wilco is located on the southbound side of Rte 73 about a mile from the Tacony Palmyra Bridge. So super helpful. Wish I got the guys name. 2 weeks ago another guy looked up this wine and said they might not get any more in and I was devastated. So glad I stopped tonight bcuz they had gotten in another shipment and I learned they get shipments weekly from the man who helped me tonight. If you like naturally sweet red Italian wine try a malvasio di casorzo. They even help you carry your order out to your car. He boxed it all up for me and carried it to the register too. I'll update my review next time I catch him here so I can get his name. Other than my wine obsession this really is a great discount liquor store and has so much more in stock than the one half a mile away closer to the Tacony bridge. So we went to this place in search of inexpensive Belgian craft beers in large single bottles. Roger Wilco definitely has a decent selection. Chimay, LaChouffe, Delirium, and some others. While the selection is not out of this world, the prices are good. The store itself is definitely a bit dirty and unorganized. I'm not a wine or hard liquor fan, but the selection looked really good. Roger WIlco is a bit disorganized, so plan to spend a bit of time walking around. And do not be afraid to ask for help. This place has always been my go to for liquor but they have made some really impressive improvements the last year. Tons of different craft beer selections and the growler station is starting to get some rare items. The prices are phenomenal. Less than 12 dollars for a growler of a rare double IPA is a steal. The workers when I usually go are kind of like "blah" which is why the star is down. I did notice that during tap takeover the guys working the growler station were enthusiastic and knew what they were talking about. They need more of this especially on Saturdays and Sundays. I would love to know who stocks the rum, the closeouts are sometimes absolutely unbelievable. They are stepping up using social media, but I'm sure glad to see a certain rum that is extremely underpriced get no attention. read more

This place is SO worth the trip and the bridge toll. Yesterday I filled a cart and for $97 I got 2 bottles of champagne, a handle of vodka, a bottle of top shelf tequila and 4 bottles of wine. Wine that costs $10 in PA only costs $4.99 here! There is a closeout aisle where some wines are $2.75.The selection and the prices cannot be beat. read more

This is a no-frills place to get all your booze needs at excellent prices. They have very little in terms of shelves, let alone refrigerated shelves. They have a refrigerated room for goods that are chilled -- so bring a sweater if that is where you are headed! It is a giant warehouse full of piles and stacks of wines, beers and liquors. They have a very good selection of ciders as well (my fave -- Magner's pear cider!). The staff is quite knowledgeable of their goods, so if you want an idea of what something is like, go ahead and ask! They are very friendly and efficient. read more

While I like this liquor store for their beer selection, my wife had a bad experience that others should know about. She bought a bottle of Krug Champagne for me for my birthday, which I was looking forward to trying this past Christmas Eve. She also bought another bottle shortly there after for a friend who was retiring. On Christmas Eve, unfortunately, after we filled up the glasses to share it with family and friends, we determined that it had started to go bad. It was too late to return it as the bottle was almost empty, Fearing that the second bottle would see the same results, she went to the store to explain the circumstances of the first bottle and the policy of the store on the second were it also to be bad. She was advised the store policy was not to replace champagne or provide a refund. A later second call to another individual resulted in a commitment "to work with you." This does not sound like an offer of a refund. Another liquor store advised that they had no trouble replacing or refunding the purchase price of champagne. My advise is to go elsewhere to purchase champagne - Caveat Emptor. read more
