Be very careful. Roger's has a reputation for selling seconds and remanufactured fishing reels. I bought a rain suit that was obviously a " second" as the hood was only half the size of a normal raincoat. I've also purchased boots there that the soles came off in a year or so. If you find items cheaper than they appear at most other places beware. My friends and I just don't patronize them much anymore. They have a large store, but the quality of some of their merchandise just doesn't warrant doing business with them. My first pair of Rogers breathable waders lasted about 15 shoots in the refuge. Then they failed. The replacement ones they sent out to me at the end of the season were only utilized at the beginning of the next season and both legs below the knees and above the ankles leaked and the crotch leaked and they were absolutely worthless. Of course, the 12 month warranty had expired by then. They refused to do anything for me. I think these warranty replacement waders were defective initially. The sales person said well you should've taken them out to the pool to test them. I don't think I would have to test new waders. I would never recommend buying any of their waders ever. They keep the FFL paperwork on file to make it easier to order again and not have to provide FFL docs when shipped to the same place. And they're faster than anyone else I've ordered from. Ordered a pair of waders (13King) and they were to big. So I picked "exchange them with correct size" when processing the return. Little did I know, they wait for the waders to return back to their facility and "inspect" them before spending the replacements. This was almost 9 days later when they received my return. I called up there and processed it as a return instead of a exchange, so hopefully they could get me the waders before my hunt (so now I'm 700$ deep on my credit card). The guy on the customer service line tells me were all good, and he was going to make sure the right size (13Stout) shipped the next day. Next day comes and unfortunately a storm hit, so everyone called into work and they don't have the staff to process the order, on top of FedEx not being able to pick up any shipments until Friday. Needless to say, I will not be shopping with Roger's anymore, as I am 700$ deep with them with not earthly idea when the right pair of waders will show. I've had several bad experiences with Rogers Sporting Goods customer service, on two separate occasions decoys have showed up damaged and a pair of waders leaked right from the box. they never did a good job of making it right. I was gaslit and told that all waders leak and they couldn't find the leak before they finally found it. The fist set of decoys they took back but would not give me a refund only store credit. the second set they told me to keep and then over a week later changed their mind and said to send them back or they would not replace them after I had already bought a decoy bag and Texas rigs from them. its important to note everyone I've heard say they have good customer service is being paid by Rogers. read more

Rogers is known for hunting related merchandise. They should get equal recognition for their fishing selection. Lots of the types of fishing gear that you actually use. Some of it may seem pricey but when you consider the quality of the merchandise, your money ahead considering that it will last a lifetime. I loved this store because it had a huge amount of fishing lures and waterfowl decoys for a decent price. They also have a room dedicated just to bow hunting which was awesome. And a massive selection of leather boots to choose from. The employees were awesome and willing to help me find whatever I asked for. The only problem was I got scammed out of my money for deer corn. Highly recommend. The hunt for ammunition right now is a on-going challenge. Add in exorbitant prices and overall, the process is just painful. I found Roger's Sporting Goods during another random search. Yes, the price is still high because of such limited availability, but 9mm was available! I ordered 500 rounds. With UPS shipping, I was a little under $400. That's about my maximum price. Rogers did a great job. The ammo was shipped almost instantaneously and received just a few days later. This store refuses to ship to CA Ammo vendors and will only ship to FFL dealers. They won't ship unless the dealers gives them a copy of their Federal Firearms License. They have no right to request this as they don't even have an FFL themselves. ATF requests FFL not share licenses with non licensees like them. All they need is an Ammo Vendor License to ship to. Not sure why they are making this harder than needed. Gave 2 stars cause the people are nice.... but this is a terrible policy. read more

Ordered four boxes of 5.7 x28 ammo only received three company ripped me off

Roger's is getting a little too big for their britches!! As a house full of outdoorsmen Rogers has been our go-to for hunting and fishing gear for many many years. However, here lately we are less inclined to come back and find a new go-to. My husband went in with our son a week or two ago to buy our son some boots. At the check-out counter, the lady seemed to get snotty when his rewards account did not come up. My husband persisted that we shop there quite often and he should be in there which seemed to irritate her so much that even our 10 year old noticed and gave his father a look of shock. Last week I went in a couple of days before Rifle season to get myself a new pair of hunting boots. I couldn't find anyone in the boot section to ask some questions I had as I was thinking of buying my first Pull-On Neoprene boots.. I ended up with a size 9 Lacrosse. They don't come in 1/2 sizes. Getting on with the story I wore the out opening day, they wore a blister on my heals, they were super uncomfortable around the ankels and by the end of the day all I wanted to do was get them OFF. I could not get them off by myselff I had to wait for my son and father to get back to play tug of war just to get them off. These boots were not for me. I paid $179 for a pair of boots that once tested in the field were just not going to work. So I boxed them up and wore my old boots with the sole coming off the following day. Once i got back to the city I cleaned off the soles and took them back to Rogers to exchange for a lace up pair and they refused to take them back. It's not like I wore them for the weekend and then tried to get my money back. I wanted to exchage for a pair that actually worked for me. They didn't offer to take them back with a 10% Restocking fee NOTHING just sorry Ma'am you are stuck with a $179 pair of boots that do not work for you. That attitude shows NO LOYALTY. They have sales all the time I would think that in order to keep thier customers coming back and happy they could have taken 10-15% off of the exchange price and then put them back on the shelf for 10-15% off but I usppose that would have required them to give a crap. read more

I was at Rogers Sporting Goods today to buy a gun safe. All the staff were extremely nice and great to work with. I live quite a ways from Rogers and called before i went. Talked to a young man named Clay,, he explained what they had on hand and when i arrived he was supper to work with. I bought the safe, they loaded it and i couldn't be happier. Great Co. This is a disappointing review. I have recommended this place to many people after buying a severe amount of ammo from them. I ordered 40cal rounds and 7.62 X 39 and received for some reason 7.62 X 51 clearly doesn't fit my weapon. I called and the lady said, ok don't threaten me with your business because I don't care? I said I wasn't threatening, she said that's the first thing out of people's mouths. I told her I didn't open the ammo and I don't know how this got mixed up, but I would pay a restock and they can fully inspect the boxes and just give me credit for the correct ammo. She said you better sell it on the street because we aren't taking it back, it's like medicine she said, wait what?? I let her know that it's illegal to sell ammo on the street in NJ. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and she said, good luck and you can take your business elsewhere. I am completely shocked that this business would treat a customer that has spent a lot of money and would have spent more and recommended more. This is sad that customer service is lost. read more

I never knew there were so many ways to kill animals. The "Sporting Goods" in the name Rogers Sporting Goods is a misnomer if you're looking for goods for any sport that doesn't involve camping, canoeing, kayaking, or killing. That said, I needed a specific multi-tool combo that I found online and identified Rogers as a distributor. The staff was friendly and helpful in the sense that they opened the case and were patient while I checked out the options but they weren't very knowledgeable and as it turns out, weren't aware of a combo option for what I wanted that was on the shelf. I overheard another customer talking something through with a staff member as well and it was apparent that customer wasn't getting much expertise either. Called archery shop to see if they could put a string and cable on and was told to come right in and they're take care of it. Showed up to be told they don't do it on Saturday and the wait would be 5 days. Must be a real lack of communication if techs don't know the policies. I have done business with Rogers for a long time but today was disappointed enough to take the time to write a review and might second guess not making the trip to drive further and spend more there! was looking for a Redneck blind and having done my research and gone to different places called back to Rogers to verify the product and price. It was more for the product as well as the delivery and set up. Okay that's bad enough. I asked about a military discount which they have honored before and then TJ put me on hold and went to ask permission. Then DAVE came on I had to go over everything again and he gave me a third price which was higher than either TJ or Tommy's. When I informed him of that he got smart and accused me of playing games by asking different people for the cost. Then told me to enjoy it. I didn't aske TJ to put me on hold then send someone else to deal with me Rogers did that. Who is playing games here with different pricing and giving return customers attitude when their simply asking the right questions before dropping several more thousand dollars AGAIN at their store. Prior to this I had a Mathews bow that blew up in my face the night before a out of state hunting trip that I bought there at Rogers and was less than a year old. I got no help thee either. they did sell me more parts and I repaired it for my trip. and trashed a new Garmin $1,000 sight when another Mathews dealer told me he would have helped me out and held Mathews to the fire for me. Rogers will take your money and sell you stuff but don't expect any assistance help discounts be it military or customer service in fact you might anticipate being talked down to and told to enjoy it. I believe I can find other places to spend my hard earned money and they may even say thank you and mean it. would not recommend doing that at Rogers Sporting goods however!
