Conger-Morris Central Point did an excellent job taking care of funeral arrangements for my mother…read more They were kind, sensitive and willing to do whatever it took to make things the way we wanted. They made no effort to up-sell or apply any pressure. We had a local memorial service and one 300 miles away. They transported my mom, and flowers to both events, and to the grave site service, supported the services in person, and saved us both money and effort by eliminating the need to deal with two funeral homes. I can fully recommend them.

Do not recommend. The place, even before its move to the Central Point area, has always been dingy,…read morefilled with dusty fabric flowers. A depressing stereotype. My family member passed away and an autopsy had to be performed. Conger-Morris would not let me see my family member after the autopsy. They refused. They felt it was their privilege to determine whether I could "handle" seeing my family member post-autopsy and prior to cremation. I could only see him if I paid for "rather expensive" reconstruction surgery, even though, I re-emphasize, my family member was scheduled for cremation and reconstruction was not necessary. It struck me as extremely extortionate. So I passed on the reconstruction Conger-Morris tried to shove down my throat and never got my chance to say good-bye. I think it is just horrible to prey on people who have suffered loss, when burial or cremation costs are already so expensive. We were absolutely shocked and disgusted to find out from a family friend that Conger-Morris had shared details regarding my family member and conversations my family had had with the funeral home regarding my family member with people other than my family. That it had become fodder for gossip. Thoroughly tacky and unprofessional. Avoid.

The way she presented him was far beyond my expectations--from the way she styled his hair to the care she took in the entire process making sure everything was beautiful. Seeing him brought me a profound sense of peace. Though it was and still is emotional, it was a truly positive experience. Britons handles every detail with genuine empathy and concern. Her support and kindness were truly angelic. Sadly, it was time to say goodbye to my big sister. Her wishes were quite simple. Cremation, no fan fare, no funeral, not even a memorial celebration, just a loving goodbye to those who were close to her while she was still here. She wished to have her ashes tossed away in the air over the ocean. That was all. I could (and would) do that for her. Her Hospice Social Worker was the one who gave me this name and just one other, since these services are limited in their locality. And I discovered quite surprisingly that Rogue Valley Cremation Service provided the exact same services as the "other" place, but perhaps at a 40% discount. I never had to step outside my door to arrange this. I could pre-arrange everything online, which definitely helped me to maintain my own composure and dignity during a most difficult time. Their basic fees include immediate transportation of her remains to their funeral home in Medford, storage until the cremation is completed, the coroner's certified death certificate done, and a non-descript container that can be shipped to me. $945. They made it very easy. And now that she has passed, I am in direct contact with them for the final details and billing. There are a few additional, a small fee mandated by the state (Oregon), and a $25 charge for each certified death certificate. And for the next 6 months I can order more certified death certificates and receive them quickly. After that, it is not as easy. The employees were very kind and understanding. It is a pleasure that I write this review, if if I can help others find a reasonably priced service that is both professional, uncomplicated, and empathetic. Thank you Brandy for your sweet disposition and efficiency.
