I would highly praise Jim Lopez for his excellent advice and guidance. I am planning to move to a home where I found cracks in the foundation. I took numerous pictures of the cracks and had Jim evaluate those cracks. The seller even provided a report that showed the cracks were minimal. Not trusting the seller's report, I had Jim review the findings. Jim had such integrity that he stated, after reviewing the reports, that I did not need to worry about those cracks as long as there was post-tension slab construction and the house was not on a corner lot. We hired Shaun for kitchen remodel and install new cabinets which we had purchased in the fall/winter is 2019. At first Shaun seemed knowledgeable and professional which is a very big disguise. Shaun never finished the job, received $6000 out of the $7000 job and left the job unfinished because he got another job. My wife was about to have surgery and we were out of heat for 3 weeks. We had to scramble to find another contractor and plumber to finish the job which resulted in more expenses. The story doesn't end there. The new contractor pointed out that Shaun had cut a support beam in the ceiling of the kitchen to install lights which had to be reengineered. On sep 20 2020, We detected burnt smell coming out of light fixture in the dining area next to the kitchen. We called an electrician and he found the issue. Shaun had installed faulty wiring in the kitchen light switch which was sending 240 volts to another switch. This is a very dangerous mistake which could have resulted in the house burning down. The electrician further mentioned that Shaun did not put splice boxes for the pendants lights he had put in the kitchen, which was an illegal way to install lights. Fixing the faulty wiring issue costed us $950 and we are in the process of filing a lawsuit against Shaun. Receipt of payment with summary of work and my conversation with the electrician is attached. Shaun always criticizes other contractors' work and finds fault to make himself look more knowledgeable. In fact, his own work is below average. If anyone has any doubt or want more info before hiring Shaun, please read this review in detail and feel free to send me a private message if any additional info is needed. I refrained from writing such a bad review for months but since the faulty wiring issue came up, I believe it is absolutely imperative for me to write this review to warn others who might be looking to hire Shaun. Shaun promised visitation to my house to provide me an estimate on constructing a deck on 3/4/21 around noon. Shaun did not show up and Shaun did not call me to explain why he defaulted. I called Shaun that day and he said he was in Citrus Heights and would have his manager, Mark, come to my house to provide the work estimate. Mark did not call or show up to give me the estimate. On 3/5/21 I called Shaun and he said he was working in Lodi and would be at my house around noon to provide the estimate. Shaun did not call and did not provide the estimate or show up. Shawn broke three promises and proved by his inconsiderate and and unprofessional behavior that he cannot be trusted. read more

I would like to say that Shaun handled my problem at my house. A small water leak from my ice maker caused so much damage in my home not only water but mold as well. Not only did he respond very quickly but he spoke to the insurance adjuster for me. The stress was removed as well as getting my insurance Company to cover things that they originally said they would not. My kitchen was completely remodeled more beautiful than before. New flooring was installed throughout and a beautiful laundry room. The remodel brought my home value up. The cleanup of the mold went well. But after that it took forever. A month for a quote of the costs. He did submit the claim to insurance and that's what took the longest. At the beginning I was warned that insurance would take forever, but on the contrary, they responded right away. After that, it just took forever, I kept coming back to this yelp page and seeing all his five stars and I was like, 'how are they giving him five stars?' at this point, his worst thing was his communication: it would take weeks before I can get a hold of him. And yet, I am reading on here that he had good communication: so strange, because it would cost 70 fights between me and my husband and me always having to call Shaun never getting a call back so me asking my husband to call Shaun and my husband saying that he's tired of calling Shaun...on and on... He uses a cabinet company that isn't even local so there's no communication there either. And then once we got our contract, the prices were crazy. He said it would be $2000 to paint the damaged walls in the repair... which would've been only a total of four walls.... and $2000 was the quote he told Insurance it would be to paint the entire downstairs of my house. When I questioned that price he told me to find another contractor and I'm so grateful that I did, because in one week with the other contractor and I had set together our contract/ and everything was set in stone and fit into my budget. While canceling our contract with Shaun, he then said that we owed him $1000 for the kitchen design from the cabinet company, when I call back cabinet company, they said they'd never charged him $1000 so there was Shaun, trying to snatch at any money he could, before we parted ways. He also tried to suggest that we keep the check from our mortgage company from the insurance in his name and that he would gracefully just give it to us and charge us money to make it easier lmao... yeah I didn't trust the guy. So basically after he did the remediation and we waiting for him to get his stuff together to continue with the rebuild my house on the same horrible condition for three months due to his non-responsive. What a waste of time and how hard it was to go through the whole summer without a sink. On the plus side, because I will leave on a positive note, the other contractor didn't offer submitting insurance claims, so RRR did get us that. I think RRR should just stick with that (restoration for mold and getting clients what they need from their insurance) and not try to implement themselves as rebuild contractors. read more

Shaun preformed his work in a timely manner and was finished well before I expected. Reliable Restoration and Remodeling just finished a beautiful remodel of the interior of our house. We met Shaun when we called to inquire if he could help us in locating a leak in one of our showers. He found the leak and also some mold. Together we decided what our course of action would be. He and his crew tore out the shower, got rid of the mold and put a new (very beautiful) shower back in. In the process of doing the shower, we decided to do some remodeling to the interior of the house. We asked Shaun if he would do the job and he accepted. We wanted to take out a wall, move electric outlets, paint the interior of the house, pull up carpet and replace with laminate flooring, replace all light fixtures, sink and tub faucets, toilet and under sink plumbing. Quite a big job!! As we were not at the house on a consistent basis, Shaun kept in constant contact with us, almost daily to keep us informed as to how things were progressing and to alert us when questions arose.
