There's never anyone to help in this store. Today I was in the store and it looks like they brought in stockers preparing for the holidays. They're everywhere. Only they're in the way and they don't help, not why they're there. The other aspect of having so many stockers there is many shirk their responsibilities and hide where cameras can't see them. Like outside in the front of the store. Today 3 employees were there laughing at a customer trying to get a propane tank. Laughing loud enough to be heard by the customer. I asked them if they were here to heckle customers or help. They waited until I was near my truck when they started on me. When I drove up to them the chickenshits ran in the store. The sheer number of customers and line that carried down the walking aisles, at the self checkout, is embarrassing. Not a single checkout register at all and the poor register operators at the Pro desk area are swamped. I cannot tell you how annoying it is that you have over four unmanned registers right next to it. I understand the need to save money by not hiring enough operators, but this is ridiculous. And, as is typical with hardware purchases, it does not go fast at all. So, I had no option, but to go to the pro desk to check out; it's just like everyone else was frustrated with a huge line at self check out. read more

I strongly advise against using Home Depot's closet installation service. What started as a simple project turned into months of frustration. They sent three different people to measure the space, created a design, and required full payment upfront. I paid in full. Then I heard nothing for weeks. I had to constantly follow up just to find out where the parts were--no one ever updated me. When installation was finally scheduled, I took off work. Half an hour before the window ended, they called to cancel. I asked the installer to come anyway so we could discuss. He arrived and told me the design they created wouldn't work. He promised a redesign in a week. I never received anything. Despite repeated calls and messages to the installer, sales rep, and managers, I never got a response. After two months, I hired someone else. Home Depot then refused to refund 35% of my money, falsely claiming I canceled--even though they admitted they had no record of any cancellation or redesign being sent. This was by far one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. Terrible communication, no accountability, and money lost for a job they never completed. Stay far away. read more

I believe that monkeys and wolves must train their cashiers. I was at the Waxahachie location Saturday morning 10/4/25 about 9:15 and checked out two items at the main register. In hind sight I should have used the self checkout. No greeting from the little brunette haired white girl. After I paid, not a word, not even a thank you. I gave her my most sincere "you're welcome" and left. I was mad enough to not notice she didn't hand me my two items, I got home and figured this out. I will go out of way NOT to go back here. We purchased a stove and refrigerator 2 weeks ago. We are still waiting for installation. They have been delivered but the refrigerator is sitting in my living room and my stove is sitting in my garage. They tell us when they are coming but never seem to make it. They reschedule and then don't show up. We paid cash for these appliances. To save yourself some grief, go to Lowe's or another company. We will NEVER shop Home Depot again!! read more

Home Depot, Waxahachie, Texas My review is about Home Depot's return policy. I bought a Ryobi leaf blower kit (blower, battery, and charger) in SEPT of 2024. I had the same blower for about two years that literally started vibrating and the insides started falling out in small pieces. The blower blades were crumbling. The thing is plastic, so it is not made to last. I still had the battery which was good. So, I went to buy another one. The new one had a battery that would not charge. In OCT, I called Home Depot and was told to bring back the entire kit, even though the blower seemed fine. I produced my receipt. ( I had charged it, so the information was there too). Just an exchange... So to recap: I bought the new one in Sept-took it back in Oct because the battery was bad. I got a new "kit". No problem, except the "bring back" date was still the original purchase date in Sept.. I only had this new one for a month. Now the thing started vibrating like something was loose inside, just as my old one had. I knew the original "bring back" time was limited to 90 days from the ORIGINAL purchase -which was in Sept., so, by their rules, if I got an exchange, I would ONLY a short time left, AND if something went wrong--EVEN THOUGH THE ITEM WAS replaced and NEW, by their rules, I wouldn't be able to return it. Instead of replacing it again, I thought I would get a store credit and, since the kit was the same price, I would repurchase the thing and have 90 days again I had my receipt, the return item, the credit card I had used, AND an ID with my picture. She said the HOME DEPOT rules were that I had to have a driver's license number to get a store card, AS A REFUND, on a returned item. (isn't that an inconvience for the customer?) I told her I was going to repurchase the kit so I would have the 90 days. I also told her, AND THE MANAGER, they didn't need my driver's license number as that was used to run background checks on people (I have law-enforcement background). She said without giving driver's license NUMBER no one would be able to GETa store card, as a refund--EVEN if they paid by credit card (and they had all the card info). This is totally anti-customer policy. I ended up putting it back on my card, so I didn't have to give my license number, and did buy a new kit. I called the Home Depot headquarters, which was almost IMPOSSIBLE to do as the number (home depot) takes you to a store. You literally have to muddle through a lot to get "headquarters" (BY DESIGN) I finally got someone that I could barely understand. So it was most likely an answering service in another country. I told him they DID NOT NEED a drivers licenses and STORING such important information on people WAS not necessary, UNLESS they were illegally running background checks on customers. Valuable information is connected to a drivers license. I'm sure my complaint went in file 13... If a person has a receipt, the merchandise, AND a picture ID that SHOULD be enough. Why isn't a purchased item, that was defective, AND returned not given a new purchase date so the "bring back OF 90 days" would apply. THAT JUST ISN'T RIGHT. I asked if someone from the HOME OFFICE would call me. It's FEB 2025, I'm still waiting... SO, I will never purchase anything from HOME DEPOT unless I pay with cash. I will NEVER show my drivers license to ANY store, neither should you. read more

DO NOT USE HOME DEPOT!! They took an order for $30,000+ last August, collected the money up front, and began the install in November. They brought the wrong cabinets, countertops, took out backsplash, left holes in our walls and on top of counters. We were told the countertop we ordered was on back order till the end of January. We called and called till someone finally said they would be here in March, but would install the correct cabinets, trim, and doors before then. No word since. Called today - they don't show they even have an order for us any longer. WHATEVER YOU DO - don't trust them to get back to you. Chase them every day or you will never get it completed. read more

Think about the Southwest Airlines commercial where the tag line is "Wanna get away?". The line at this Home Depot is "Wanna be ignored?" After 25 minutes in curbside pickup I see my cabinet and a couple employees looking dumbstruck. Finally one comes out and says to pull down to the pro dock and they want to use a lift to load my cabinet. "They know you're coming." After another 25 minute wait I walk in and a cashier sees me and looks away. I took the cabinet on the pallet jack and loaded it myself. No one said a word. The Mansfield Home Depot is the same distance I'll go there next time, or the Lowes across the street. Forklift driver, his guide with the flags, the curbside guy. No masks. read more

We were looking for a dryer since ours unexpectedly died. Stephen was a huge HUGE help, and we found a dryer with more bells & whistles than anticipated, at less than we dreaded paying. We were able to obtain a floor model with a hefty discount, well within our budget. It's nice & quiet & I am looking forward to nice soft towels and wrinkle free clothes again. Line drying just isn't the same! We appreciated the time spent with us & Stephen's sense of humor. Went to Home Depot in Waxahaxhie to buy a new refrigerator after looking online and seeing that they had 6 available. Upon my arrival I asked the team member (Leanne) in the kitchen appliances area for help with my purchase. She told me that they did not have the item I wanted in stock. I was shocked by this so i pulled up the website and it told me that they still had 6 at this location. When I told her this she replied with "oh ok i guess I will go check now". So i waited and she came back and said "yeah i can't find any". I said ok well if i order online right now it says I can come in 2 hours and pick it up. To which she just stared at me blankly and then ended up walking away. I did order it online and was able to go to the store in Waxahachie and pick it up within 1 hour. While I was very pleased with the ease of the online process the in store customer service was so disappointing that I likely will not only never shop here again but not recommended to anyone either. read more

I had a unpleasant experience when I tried to obtain a price match at this store. First I would like to say that Home Depot needs to clearly state their price matching policy against online retailers like Amazon. Second- Home Depot employees need to be trained better to understand exactly what that policy is. I visited the Home Depot store in Waxahachie to purchase a Honeywell thermostat. I had already researched the price match policy online and had a understanding that the price match could be done on this particular item against their competitor Amazon. When I got to the register Cynthia, the cashier was very pleasant and helpful! She proceeded to do the price match but was interrupted by the manager (or so she said) Bj. BJ told me in a arrogant manner that they will not do a price match with Amazon. I tried to show BJ on my cell that this was possible and there was information on the Home Depot app and website that stated so. She then said that -she- would not do a price match. When I calmly and nicely asked for the manager she said that she was the manager. At this point I believe BJ expected me to give up the request and walk out of the store. I then asked if she was the store manager? She replied that she was the head cashier and she was not going to lose her job trying to do this price match and walked off. At that time Cynthia called the store manager to request the price match. The store manager approved the price match request without any hesitation. It is employees like Cynthia that makes a shopping experience pleasant for a customer. Kudos to her!!! But it is employees like BJ who can make a shopping experience unpleasant and turn a customer around to the competitor. read more

I went into this location today with my boyfriend to buy some paint, nails, tape, etc., for his company & the employees were SO. INCREDIBLY. RUDE! I guess they haven't been fired or received any repercussions due to the labor shortages, but I was sincerely appalled at how they treated us. Firstly, there was a caucasian, blonde, & elder woman who works in the paint department that was just unnecessary rude & hostile for no reason at all. I guess she was just frustrated with us for trying to explore our best options given our price point, but she was absolutely the worst! Next, there is a woman named Suzi who works in the Pro Services department that my boyfriend spoke to on the phone before coming to purchase the nails & she approached us & announced loudly in front of the entire store & surrounding employees "I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS MAN BEFORE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!" So he proceeded to explain to her that they had spoken on the phone, not in person. She then laughed it off & proceeded to talk to us like we were all just the best of friends. I am usually so incredibly patient with people who work in the customer service industry because I too work in the field, but these two specific employees know nothing about customer service & should receive repercussions for their actions. read more

Very displeased with the customer service at this store. I have called multiply times per their request to let me know regarding the quote for carpet placement. It's been about 3weeks now, and everytime they contact me and have me go in the store (3 different times)and all of a sudden NOBODY knows anything about the conversation. I called today and spoke to an employee in the appliance department. I told the employee that my 'new' washing machine (Whirlpool) has a pause/stop button that will not work but 50% of the time. You push it, but it will not release the lid. After explaining this to him he asked for my name and phone number. I spelled my name and provided my number very plainly to him. He said, "Let me look you up and I'll call you right back." It's 4 hours later and I never received a phone call. I am sick of lousy products that you have to pay a fortune for and I am sick and tired of companies that do not respect their customers. I have had the washer now three weeks. I'll wait about a month longer for something else to break, and it will because every appliance today isn't worth 1/4 the money you have to pay for them. This is by far the worst Home Depot I have ever shopped in. I just moved to Waxahachie and have tried to shop here 4x. Every time is worse than the last one. Today I was looking for DIG Microsprinkler parts. I asked where that product is located and was told by the employee that they did not sell that product. I said "Oh really. It is on your website. I have bot it here before". She said "Oh, I'll ask someone else." She was told to look in plumbing. I went back for more parts this evening. There were no tubing stakes low enough for me to reach. They were on the highest shelf. I asked one employee if he would page someone to help me. He said he would. He never did. I found another employee who said he would come back asap and help. He never did. Finally found a 3rd employee who got a ladder and retrieved the item. If I could have unlocked the ladder, I would have crawled up there myself and gotten them and saved myself 20 minutes of standing. I have done chemo and cannot stand for long periods of time. And I don't need this aggravation. When I went to pay, the checker rang up 155 stakes. I had only bot 15. I can't believe how uninspired the workers are. It wasn't that there weren't enough workers. There were 3 here and then 3 more grouped in another place. The employees are poorly trained and no one at this store is interested, one iota, in helping customers or doing a good job. I've called, emailed and text their customer service department to which I get the same excuse, but no resolution.
