This is the cutest little market. Had no idea they existed until I tried the dill garlic and pickled okra at a friend's house. I noticed they had like 6 or 7 jars with the farmers delight logo in their fridge, so I googled it and figure out it was a little actually a little farmer's market. I went and spent about 40 bucks. I got the dilled garlic, mild quail eggs, ginger beets and pickled okra. They had so many different things do try. I had to stop myself..lol I also bought some sea moss. I grabbed a fork on my way out and took a like taste of all of them except the sea moss, before I left and did my happy dance, like Winnie the pooh. Yummy yummy. I saw fresh fruit, veggies, a variety of nuts, a couple frozen and refrigerated entree options and snacks, and some plants. My friend was waiting in the car, so I had to do a quick walk through. But I really like this place and all the associates were very nice and pleasant. I'll be back and definitely recommend 10 out if 10. read more

Yes, fresh jarred fruit and jams from back in the day. Local made peanut patties and brittle. The freshest fruit, and freshly made sea moss. Oh, and homemade fried fruit pies to die for! read more

Fresh fruit and vegetables galore! They also have a large variety of coffee to choose from.

The young men behind the counter knew absolutely nothing when it came to organic produce and if they even had any. I can taste pesticides on anything that been sprayed with it. I would hope that a real farmers market would have locally sourced organic produce but not these people. Plus they act like they don't want to be there. They don't even sell seeded bananas or watermelon plus they label their sliced watermelon with stickers that say very sweet when they're anything but. I'm pretty sure they get their produce from downtown. read more

We pass by this place everyday as its only 2 mins up the street. Finally got a chance to check it out and I'm glad we visited . They have some really fresh produce and vegetables here. This isn't a huge place but more of a mom and pop produce market. The prices here are moderate are there is a good variety to choose from. They have a refrigerated section for drinks and packaged items like trail mix, nuts, and dried fruit . Plums were very good and can't wait to try the spinach and mangoes. read more

I'd driven by for years to and from our veterinarian further up the road, but when I finally got my schedule synced up their store hours and stopped, I was pleasantly surprised. Local produce as much as available, local products, very reasonable pricing, excellent knowledge. Definitely worth the travel from east of Ferris over to DeSoto! They don't hover over you but if you have a question, it's answered both politely and expertly. read more

This market has been in Desoto for many many years. Great product and very helpful and kind. I have never been in this business and not had a pleasant experience. Not only do they sell wonderful produce they have beautiful seasonal flowers and all kinds of candy and frozen shelled peas and beans, fresh eggs , pickles and fabulous fresh spinach. There are too many things to mention them all. You just have to visit and see for yourself. This is fall time, and they even have pumpkins and mums to decorate your porch. read more

I live a mile from the place have shopped there occasionally most of the time the produce is fresh,went there the other day and the lettuce heads were all wilted and I mentioned it to the owner and he gave me an ultimatum to buy it on not.I know that it's my choice whether to buy something or not. Disappointed customer. I bought TEXAS HONEY here and it had already hardened. I called the store to let them know, and they told me to heat it up. I would have rather you at least acted concerned and have me bring the bottle back to see. Lesson learned. read more

You remember the old saying, "It's not what you say, but how you say it". This was my first time visiting this market. I was pleased with my purchase, but the warmth was not there. I stopped because I saw the giant, beautiful mums out front. They had great pumpkins of all colors, shapes and sizes. Everything was very reasonably priced and excellent quality. Inside I found the BEST tomatoes I have eaten in YEARS! They are delicious! I have also tried the blueberries which were much better than the ones from the grocery and lasted longer. I have been impressed with every purchase and have been back every week since I found the market. So happy to have such great produce so close to home. read more
