Dianna is an artist. I just let her do her thing and have NEVER been disappointed with the end result. I have the thickest head of hair you've ever seen; I've had such a difficult time finding a stylist/barber that doesn't get intimidated/frustrated half way through a haircut. Needless to say, I always ended up with a bad haircut - UNTIL I found Dianna and Rolf Salon. My first sitting she took the time to talk to me about my hair and give her opinion about what style works best. They always have the products I'm looking for and offer great service as far as beverages when you walk in coffee or tea or water. I was greeted by Mariola, the Owner/Manager who was so welcoming and kind, and made me feel right at home. I absolutely LOVE this salon and everyone who works there! Dianna has been cutting my hair for years and is a true ARTIST! She has so much experience and knowledge of different hair types and how hair will respond to different styles as well as products. When Dianna first started cutting my hair, it was a mess! I was in the process of trying to grow out short hair that had been badly cut. Dianna came up with a plan for the growing out phase and the various styles that I would work through. She recommended the right products and brushes to make it look healthy again. It worked and now I love my hair! Erin and Oola have both done beautiful work on my brows. Great place, great people, great service, just plain great all around. I got a call on a Thursday morning from a job I had applied to. They wanted me to interview that Monday. Wanted to make a good impression I knew I had to get my two month old roots taking care of ASAP! I called Rolf and got an appointment for that Saturday. My stylist was great, she matched my color perfectly and told me that if I had any trouble, if it fade at all to giver her a call and she would take care of it. I took my 13-year old daughter who was cutting cut her hair to donate to Locks of Love to this salon. Most salons do these cuts for free when the child is donating to kids with cancer, but not this one. They told me the cost for my daughter's haircut would be a whopping $53, so I told them we would go somewhere else. The stylist then said she would do the cut for free. She began cutting, then grabbed the blow-drier and dried her hair. As we prepared to leave the salon, I approached the desk to leave a big tip for the stylist, who went up to the receptionist and whispered something to her. The receptionist told me the charge for the blow-dry was $32. I do not appreciate the underhanded way they manipulated money from us when I would have been perfectly happy to take my daughter to another salon which works with these kinds of donations gratis. I will certainly never go there again. read more

I went here for about a year, but stopped because it's not worth putting up with people who are egotists for a haircut that is mediocre. It seems all about the money, and what they want to do, not what you want done. I felt pressured to buy products. Free bang trims which is a nice touch. But here's the real reason I left - If you are at all sensitive to cigarette smoke, or don't like people touching your hair that have been smoking, this is not the place for you. I almost never write reviews because I typically like to tell people in person how I feel, one way or another...but I feel compelled to write about my experience with this gem of a business. I found them by accident (through other reviews) after I had a profoundly unfortunate hair disaster at another local establishment. I walked into Rolfsalon in tears, and they could not have been any more accommodating--given the situation. They squeezed me in to Rolf's extremely busy schedule (I think during his lunch break) treated me like a long-time client, with coffee and conversation. Rolf did a fantastic job fixing my disaster and then, after all that, they refused to let me pay them for the service stating that, "I should never have been charged by the other establishment in the first place." As a small business owner myself, I was very touched by this, because this is also how I do business, but I so rarely run into like-minded business owners. If I could give Rolfsalon 10 Stars I would! I'm only sorry it's taken me so long to post this review and thank them for their kindness and wonderful service. I can't wait to return. They've earned my business for life! read more

My family of 5 has been regularly going to Rolf Salon since January, and on Saturday they gave away an appointment for my 4-year-old daughter in error and refused to honor our appointment until I became upset. They offered no solution other than for me to come back, and I insisted rather that they ask the person they gave our appointment to in error to return in a hour, which they did. When they comped the service afterwords, I assumed that Rolf (who was present at the time and within earshot of everything, but said nothing at all) recognized that the situation was handled poorly. Rather, he waited until the next day to send me an email telling me they would not provide services to my family any longer and refused my request to speak directly. read more

Took my pre-teen daughter to a local chain to get some layers in her long hair. The result was horrific! She was in tears and I frantically looked on line for a salon that was open who could salvage some of the length. Zoomed to Rolf Salon with crying child in tow. Three stylists, including Rolf, were all booked. One stylist, Ashley, was on her way out the door. She agreed to come back in to see what could be done. The four of them briefly consulted. Almost an hour later, we were all smiles as Ashley was able to blend the bulk of the damaged cut and keep most of the length. It will be quite some time for it to all be repaired as it grows, but they have now gained two customers and anyone else I can brag about them to! read more
