Booked this for my daughters 5th birthday party. I hadn't been skating here in 20 years. Honestly…read morein 20 years not much has changed. The skates looked like the original skates I wore in the 90s but they still function. I guess things were made better back then. The music was loud, too loud really, and it was crowded. But Santa was there. And the kids enjoyed the play area and it was pretty clean. The bathrooms could have been cleaner. The staff was helpful and attentive. The prices weren't terrible. Brought back memories. If the music hasn't been so loud I couldn't speak over it I would have given 5 stars.

Pros: Kids play area was fantastic. My 6 and 2 year olds played for hours. Guy at the front desk…read morewas nice, as was the lady at the concession stand. Cons: We went just for Laser Tag, and I've never seen such a poorly run operation. We were told to go to the arcade area (very small) and ask for it there. The guy signed us up, then didn't utter a word and skated off to the rink to have fun. We waited for almost 2 hours before they called the laser tag groups. Session lasted for a few minutes, and half of that was spent changing broken equipment. We tried doing another session, but were told it would be a while, and the guy skated off again. My son left in tears after that, and we'll never be back. Not that it's really the fault of the business, but there were kids throwing bouncy balls on the skating rink and chasing after them without skates on, and they were allowed to continue. Very dangerous, I wouldn't want to skate there.

Skateland USA North Review…read more Skateland USA North was such a fun time--nothing but great vibes all night! The energy was high, the crowd was into it, and the overall atmosphere made for an unforgettable experience. The rink itself was smooth, and the lighting added to the excitement of the night. My only critique for Sunday evenings would be to let the songs play out fully instead of using mixes. It would really enhance the experience to vibe to the full track rather than jumping between different beats. Other than that, everything was on point. Definitely looking forward to coming back!

They have made some fantastic improvements. I remember we skated at our own risk of falling. They have skating aids to assist new skaters now. The gaming area is the corner. The food court has your typical skate rink food. I dove into the nachos and topped it off with some pink lemonade. They have hot dogs, chips, pickles, candy...just put it this way...they have choices! The tunes blasting from speakers will keep your groove going throughout day and night. They play a great variety of steady beats. There were a few pro skaters mingled in the crowd. Watching the pro skaters is so cool and fun. They have an area dedicated for parties or large groups. They have a few arcade games in one corner. If the kids want the little toys from the toy section, they'll love it.

While eating, they had a music Bingo game. A majority of people were singing along to the music clips, even the presenter. It was as if it was a gathering of old friends who hadn't seen each other in a while, having a good time in each other's presence. The atmosphere was addictive and we had a ball too. The main foyer (everything is indoors) reminds me of a small town square. Looking around, there's a red dragon over the entrance to the Crazy Dragon and a green dragon that moves on the other side. All it's missing is a wishing well! We also noticed a sizeable bowling alley, roller skating rink, movie theater, arcade, and probably more that we forgot. They advertise several events for the community and seem to be well-connected to it. This may be the best family entertainment center I've ever seen.

A movie theater, laser tag, an arcade, billiards, a bar, and even a Chinese restaurant! Hopefully I didn't leave anything out. We tried the billiards first, but all the per game cheap tables were taken. Only the per hour ones were avail and more than we wanted to pay. Plus the mostly male patrons did not make us feel welcome from the looks we got so we moved onto the arcade. You have to buy a card to play the games and the machine was confusing, even with asking a couple people buying one. Of course there wasn't an employee anywhere inside to ask for assistance, but we finally figured it out. Unless you want to play shoot em up games, most of what they have is for kids, incl a very short whack a mole game. We did play a pinball game that frequently shouted, well that's a real cow pie shot, or something to that effect! Long story short, for as much as they have to offer you're either going to find some entertainment value or not.
