The job was complicated by multiple underground utilities, and during the installation phase they worked closely with Julie on-site to ensure they were avoided. Doug hand picked the major trees at the nursery, and on planting day positioned all the plants to our approval. The crew was efficient , professional and very courteous throughout the job, and quickly addressed any concerns we had. Since moving to Illinois 17 years ago we have employed three landscaping companies for major planting or patio installations. Scott, Doug and his crew are by far and away the best we have had. I hired Rick to supervise a crew to install 30 tonnes of pea gravel and 3/4 in rock in our backyard. The scope of the project was to staple fabric across the area, which was approx. 0.15 acres then wheelbarrow the gravel to different areas around the backyard and finally rake it even. Rick was on the project every morning with a positive attitude and strong ownership of the daily work and for the overall project. It's stressful having people doing work around your property for a week, but his team was completely reliable, self sufficient and conscientious about noise levels and such. I also appreciated how clean Rick and his crew left the work site each night. They'd pick up any debris and tools and were ready to go for the next day. After the gravel landscape installation, Rick stayed on to oversee the landscape maintenance of our half acre property with 47 varieties of plants, bushes, trees and grass and over 1000 ft of irrigation.
