In the end what i had requested from the company was never completed to my satisfactory so I did it myself-- some stuff was done- about half the project from the company. It was my decision to not continue to reach out for the company to complete because I was tired of nagging them. The thing that upset me the most was that I requested for them to dig up some invasive lilies and each time (2 times they came out again) they told me they wouldd, and I would find them cut down (with pesticide over them im guessing?) and then hidden with mulch. My problem is the lack of honest cmmunication.

I loved the fact that a) he responded at all vs just ignoring the request, b) was upfront and honest about his timeline vs just taking the job and overextending himself. Once I told him that we were in no rush, and would be happy to wait, he proceeded to text back and forth with me helping me get an idea as to what the job might cost. He made recommendations about plants, etc....and all this without officially having secured my business. Towards the end of July, I reached back out to see what his timeline looked like. Again, he responded almost immediately. He apologized for not getting back to me sooner, and said he would come out to measure the area, and discuss the job in more detail. In my mind, he had absolutely nothing to apologizing for. He set a date to come out, came out exactly at the time he promised, and helped us figure out what would look good. He provided a written, detailed estimate, which he adhered to...we paid exactly what he quoted. On the day of the job, he showed up as promised and on time. He begged me not to call the police, and I was kind and respected his request. I agreed to settle everything peacefully without calling insurance or getting him in trouble. However, after he spoke to his manager, everything changed. The company told him to lie to the police and claim that the accident was my fault, even though I was driving straight and he hit me from the back. I witnessed this lie right in front of me after I had helped him. When I called the company to explain what really happened, the manager was extremely rude and unprofessional. He insulted me and called me names for no reason. I never mentioned anything about race, but he still accused me of being racist, which is especially hurtful since I am Middle Eastern and deal with racism myself. This company showed dishonesty, disrespect, and zero professionalism. Based on my experience, I do not trust them, and I would not recommend their services to anyone.

What truly impressed us was how they coordinated the entire job--far beyond what their contract required. They scheduled and managed other trades, including the deck crew, pool installers, and electricians. They didn't have to do any of that, but they did it anyway to make sure the project flowed smoothly. One of the reasons we chose them was because they are Unilock certified, which was extremely important to us for warranty purposes. The majority of our project involved extensive Unilock pavers off the back of our home and surrounding the new pool, and their craftsmanship is absolutely outstanding. At the beginning, we had a clear plan, but as with any large construction project, things changed along the way. Jimenez and Sons handled every change quickly, professionally, and without ever falling behind schedule. They made on-the-fly adjustments to retaining walls, pool equipment locations, and even the water features--all without a single complaint. Their work ethic is unmatched. They were on-site at 7 AM every day, stayed until dark, and even worked Saturdays, something you don't see from many contractors today. This is clearly a family-run business, and they treat you like part of that family. They work on your home as if it were their own. Even the father, who started this business many years ago with just a shovel and a wheelbarrow, was there from start to finish. His passion for the craft still shines through. And I have to highlight Rene Jimenez specifically--he is truly the best. Rene is not only extremely knowledgeable, but also an all-around great person: honest, easy to work with, and patient. He has an incredible vision for tough, complicated projects, and he can see solutions long before anyone else does. His leadership and creativity were a huge part of why this project turned out so beautifully. They went above and beyond with the landscaping as well. They moved and replanted trees to improve the view, added multiple new trees and shrubs, and placed everything perfectly to enhance beauty while blocking unwanted sightlines. After only 5 years a wall was buckling and that area of the floor was sinking. They quickly diagnosed that this was due to insufficient drainage. The recommendation was to rebuild the wall, add drainage and level the flooring. Other contractors wanted to basically rebuild the entire patio which would have been overkill. They right sized my project and priced their work fairly. My kitchen overlooks the area they were working. So throughout the day I could see their diligence and attention to detail. It was quite a task, especially the removal of the original adhesive but the were total pros.
