I pretty much enjoy going to their Stoney Creek bakery; they have variety of products to choose from: , pizza slabs (Pepperoni, Garlic & Oil, etc.), variety of hot food for lunches, bread, lasagna, pizza dough, cheese, dessert, pie, donuts and cake. The first time I went there, I got Red Velvet and Carrot cake slices and I can say it was the best Red Velvet cake I've ever tasted. After that, any time I go there, I make sure I add a slice of Red Velvet Cake to my order. There is always a lineup outside the store at lunchtime and I believe it is worth every minute waiting in that lineup, because you will be welcomed with friendly staff and the most amazing smell of food. Love Roma Bakery. I have been eating baked goods from this bakery since I was a tiny child. The original location was located directly in front of my great aunt's house. Needless to say, I loved going there because we always made a quick visit to Roma for some bread and pizza. Fast forward to 2022,and I still love Roma. I love love the bread, pizza, but also, my other two favourites the peaches and flaky pastries. The Mantovani buns are amazing!! Now, I feel like going to pick up some pizza! Roma Bakery has been in operation in the Hamilton area for over 60 years and everyone knows of it if you have grown up in our working class town. As a child I have become infatuated with their plain pizza, which has become the taste of home. I have been away from home for years, and it is the only thing I crave from home for some reason. Other travelers I have met miss their Vegemite or Ghost Pops, but for me, its their pizza. I am a person who can eat an obscene amount of food, at the same rate of a person suffering from obesity, and their pizza is always the one thing that can fill my void when it comes to hunger. The pizza is so simple, yet so incredible. Some say its not even pizza, which I can understand, but it is. The pizza everyone always eats in our city and the surrounding areas is their plain pizza, which is simply bread with sauce on it. You can get pizza with cheese and meat on it, but for some reason, the plain choice is the most popular for the hungry citizens. The pizza is so popular you can purchase it fresh at every major supermarket at home, and every school child in Hamilton has had a slice of it as their special lunch meal. If you are ever in Hamilton or the surrounding area, do yourself a favour and please purchase yourself some of this pizza which dances in your mouth because of their incredible flavours and fresh ingredients. I just stopped in for a Turkey sandwich....it was the best turkey sandwich I've had since I can remember. Nice turkey on a fresh bun! I will be returning here and I'm definitely bringing my lady friend for this experience! Great spot for a quick lunch!! read more

One of my Favourite lunch spots, and I make the drive to Stoney Creek just for Roma's! The pizza is awesome, the Porchetta sandwich is off the hook and they go through a few trays of meat every lunch so no worries it's fresh and delicious. They have a great hot table at lunch time with a new special every day. You can pick up bread, buns, pizza and tons of yummy sweets and cakes. The servers are very friendly and helpful. There is a reason they get a line at lunch all the food is fantastic! read more

I was in the neighbourhood looking for a new home with my wife and kids. I decided to stop at Roma because I'd heard of their porchetta and I'm a big fan of porchetta. It's the day before Superbowl Sunday and they had a special that was supposed to be order ahead. Phil came out and asked me what I needed, I asked for a porchetta and said I wouldn't be able to make it back tomorrow as I'm in from out of town. He went into the back and came out with a fresh and hot porchetta that he'd plan to take home for himself. The pizza and the porchetta was amazing. But more than that, Phil made me feel welcome to the community, took the time to have a chat, and went above and beyond to make an incredible first impression. So, to Phil and his staff, thank you for a great experience. It truly made my day and I'm sure my father-in-law is going to love the dinner I serve him tomorrow during the big game. read more

This place has that old school Italian bakery feel to it, but their food doesn't match the upper echelon of Italian bakeries I've encountered over the years. I had their "specialty" which was their porchetta sandwich. For one thing I could see the porchetta was sitting on the counter for god knows how long. Certainly not made to order. Nevertheless, I persisted on ordering their house speciality. I found the porchetta to be fatty, arid, and really lacked flavor. The bread that went with it was equally stale. The only plus to the sandwich was the cheese and grilled mushroom toppings. Maybe I should have stuck with the 'za. read more

I grew up eating Roma pizza. They sold it at my high school cafeteria and I had at least one piece EVERY day. I still can't get enough of it. The delicious tomato sauce with olive oil on light crispy bread is to die for. My brother was so excited to tell me he found it at Fortino's in Oakville. I see they're also sold at Metro and Sobeys. Now, if they can only be convinced to expand to Toronto, my life would be complete! read more

The plain is available through Fortino's grocery stores as well. However the bakery offers a lot more beyond pizza. I recommend this as some of the vest comfort food around. read more

I have grown up in Stoney Creek and I have very happy memories of eating Roma Pizza on pizza day at school as a child. That recipe has never changed and I can say with confidence that there is absolutely nothing else like it anywhere! The deli meats and other baked goods are fantastic as well, very Italian... I bought a cake this past weekend. I was told it was butter cream with filling. There was no filling, not butter cream tasted more like sugary crisco icing. Very embarrassing as I purchased it for my fathers 80th. Cakes used to be good in the past not now. read more

Stay away from the dessert "platter". All they do is cut up brownies, squares & throw in a few biscuits. Too much $$ for not enough food. I'm really disappointed. read more
