What a bad choice of Italian bakeries , the apples uncooked and the dough had to be old the worst dough we have ever had , the pumpkin pie was just as bad , the dinner rolls dry and flavorless, the eclairs or long John's etc were the worst donuts we ever had , the cheapest chocolate on top of cheapest flour Lucky to find any whip cream , the family guests couldn't believe the poor quality from this Italian bakery , all in all 30 guests were not going to spread the name miceli bakery name with happy comments, I can't blame them I used to work for a world wide bakery ingredients supplier , I have had better quality, my family will not go back to miceli bakery in the future , maybe the original owner had better quality goods, not cheap garbage ......

I hadn't been back to this plaza in over three years. This Cobs Bread looks. I walked over to check this bakery out. This plaza has a lot of parking spots. It's anchored by a huge Walmart. A man immediately welcomed me when I walked in. I needed some time to look at everything, but it reminded me of visiting Cobs in Ottawa, but without a crowd. I love the danish pastries with custard. They were so good when I had them in the Summer that I got some more. My order consisted of these items: - Wild blueberry and custard danish - Raspberry and custard danish - Cinnamon bun My two pastries were in a bag. I got my cinnamon bun in a cute box. I paid with a debit card. I tapped and was good. I thanked the man and left with my goodies. I devoured the raspberry and custard danish after dinner. It was perfection. I liked the natural raspberries with the smooth custard. It was the best pairing. The danish had a light dusting of sugar sprinkled around the edge. Yummy! I haven't had the other goodies. They'll likely be gone by tomorrow. Such a great find. I may head back and get a chocolate croissant. I also like the flatbreads that are perfect for lunch or dinner. (396)

It's also located right next to the grocery shop my family go to. And our shopping trips are long! All the fruits must be tapped! Veggies to smell! Meat to eye! Raw prosciuttos to buy! So we can cure at home. In short it gets LONG! I got pretzels! Pizzas! Breadsticks! Pizzas were delish and bite size. They warm anything you want for you. And I love the box too. Hide the evidence! Prosciutto, fig balsamic? Delish! The chicken and artichoke aka cacifiore was good. Got some pretzels today too! Eat and shop! How else would you do it??!

These folks need to do some housekeeping and start getting rid of the clutter. Less is more folks, and a lot more inviting! We picked up some pretzels, small rolls, and horseshoe type rolls. All were tasty. The checkout process was painful as I had to tell out a couple times to get their attention. Both of the staff were busy doing other things. Prices were a bit on the high side.

I think the majority of their business is fulfilling custom cake orders. At the time of my visit, they had a few different types of canollis that were priced around $2.50-3. So quite average in pricing. It was good. Tiramisu - $2.50 for a smallish slice. Although fresh, they used whipped cream. So that was a bit of a disappointment. Sadly, not many bakeries use the real deal anymore. I prefer the tiramisu at Sweet Paradise. Just ok for me.

Alright, here we go, I think:…read more After pondering the word to write in order to even just possibly scratch the surface of what outrageously delicious (vegan) cookies made by Marci, I still find myself utterly (no milk=no pun!) speechless with the whatever taste-gasm prevails even at just the very thought of being able to enjoy another (which'll indeed be sooner rather than later). I had a bit of a variety pack with gingerbread, fruit explosions, &, of course, the favoured traditional chocolate-chip & although call me old-fashioned with the latter being my absolutely favourite, I honestly didn't realize there was a possibility of some kind of other cookie making me actually think about the delectable choice I'm about to embark upon. SO fresh & with a very reasonable "shelf-life" especially for being vegan - although I am unable to confirm specifically with Marci's cookies if freezing them to hold in their precious structure & taste (usually by day 4-5), I would assume they'll do that job just as well (again, you probably won't be concerned about "shelf-life" as now knowing what this bakery is all-about, I'd definitely be more concerned about getting them home to said shelf (or Cookie Monster cookie jar. I hope this is going to help you decide when picking out a bakery for cookies especially this holiday season (& thereafter). She's obviously a real pro in knowing/understanding what flours &/or binding agents are superior to all that is out there, but I'm sure whatever combination does get used, it's going to have to remain Marci's secret. When I lived in Montreal, my go-to cupcake place (and probably my overall favourite cupcake shop) was D'Liche, which sadly didn't make it through the covid quarantine. In London, I enjoyed Chick Cake Boss and when I came to Hamilton, I went to Bitten. However, none quite lived up to D'Liche, or even the Cupcake Shoppe...until Beyond the Batter. One bite and I deemed it my new favourite cupcake place. I had been drooling over the flavour list for probably a week now and finally convinced my brother to go grab some. We ended up with an assortment of flavours that not only sound delicious but look lovely. Work fast though because my brother got to the shop about 2.5 hours after they opened and a few flavours were already sold out. He got home with the cupcakes while my sister was on a work call. We are impatient though so we decided to try a cupcake anyways and just grabbed the one we knew she'd have no interest in - Macaroon, a coconut cake cupcake topped with chocolate frosting rolled in toasted coconut. We split it and both fell in love at first bite. My brother is not a frosting fan so for him cupcakes are all about the cake and he has been raving about how light and fluffy, yet flavourful the cake was all afternoon. As for me, I love frosting and cake and the flavours were just so spot on and rich that I was happy. Often frosting/icing can be end up tasting like icing sugar above all else but that wasn't the case here at all. When my sister got off her call, we went in for a second - Men are from Mars, a chocolate cupcake topped with malt frosting dipped in a chocolate shell with a caramel centre. It sounds like a lot but once again they nailed each flavour and they all worked together so well. I normally avoid chocolate cakes but this one was delicious and I'd definitely recommend. In fact, I'd recommended everything I've tried thus far and I'm sure that opinion isn't about to change.

Even though a neighborhood staple in the Polish section of Hamilton, it's seen better days…read more The interior is sad, unkempt and unwelcoming. But when you see bugs on *fresh baked goods* it's an indication of a bigger problem. Indifferent staff, unclean premises and intermittent care and cleaning of fresh food spaces, processes, preservation and preparation of onsite food They do stock safe and hygienic foods that are sealed and are imported. I recommend buying only these shelf stable sealed imported goods. Or from their frozen section NOT made in-house.
