The shop is fairly small with a selection of cupcakes for humans as well as pets. For a birthday, you can purchase a cupcake with a little favour (from a wide variety of selections) to place on the cupcake and a single cupcake box for the cupcake. The red velvet cupcake with vanilla icing is my personal favourite, usually costing $2.50 a piece, unless it's Tuesday where it's $2 each. Their other flavours consist of the vanilla cupcake with vanilla icing, vanilla with chocolate icing, chocolate with vanilla icing, chocolate with chocolate icing, chocolate with mint icing and butterscotch with vanilla icing. Occassionally i see the cherry bomb and lemon cupcakes. Finally, on special holidays, they have special cupcakes. If you purchase 6 cupcakes, it's tax free!!

It left a coating on my throat and my friend's as well, and now it feels weird to breathe. The cupcake itself was good, but it didn't taste like red velvet at all. They use coconut flour, and I love coconut, so it was enjoyable. They also serve it cold, and say to wait until it's room temperature. I hope that this business can adjust its prices and maybe some recipes. I really enjoy that they post their daily selections on Facebook and their website. They had a large selection of sweet treats and breads available even near closing time. Food: I ordered a German chocolate cupcake, an eggnog tiny cake, and a pink macaroon. The eggnog tiny cake's frosting was quite sweet but the cake itself balanced it out very nicely, leaving you with a true eggnog flavor. The pink macaroon was not shaped like a classic macaroon but was rectangular and had three distinct layers. On top was a very sweet, pink frosting, then the coconut mixture, and finally a hard crust on bottom. Unfortunately, I did not like it at all. Lastly, I had the German chocolate cupcake. The cake was very moist and the classic German chocolate frosting was tasty. Service/Location: The service was great as I was welcomed when first arriving and afterwards there was always someone ready to assist me. Since the bakery is downtown there is ample parking and other shops to explore but the area can get busy. Price: I paid $4.00 for the German chocolate cupcake, $3.75 for the eggnog tiny cake (though in the display the price was listed at $4.00), and $2.35 for the pink macaroon. Overall, a decent value. Conclusion: Based on these three desserts, I was not overly impressed. Perhaps I would enjoy some of their other desserts more, therefore in the future I may return to see what else they have to offer.

But this weekend when I finally got the chance to go in and grab some cupcakes, they'd changed everything. The icing was done with an oil, or a shortening, and it was awful. The cakes are no longer light, moist and cakey...they're sticky as if they're made with a syrup rather than sugar. I was so very disappointed and I wonder why they'd make such a huge change from perfect cupcakes last summer to awful, avoid-if-at-all-possible sticky-oil products.

One bite and I deemed it my new favourite cupcake place. I had been drooling over the flavour list for probably a week now and finally convinced my brother to go grab some. We ended up with an assortment of flavours that not only sound delicious but look lovely. Work fast though because my brother got to the shop about 2.5 hours after they opened and a few flavours were already sold out. He got home with the cupcakes while my sister was on a work call. We are impatient though so we decided to try a cupcake anyways and just grabbed the one we knew she'd have no interest in - Macaroon, a coconut cake cupcake topped with chocolate frosting rolled in toasted coconut. We split it and both fell in love at first bite. My brother is not a frosting fan so for him cupcakes are all about the cake and he has been raving about how light and fluffy, yet flavourful the cake was all afternoon. As for me, I love frosting and cake and the flavours were just so spot on and rich that I was happy. Often frosting/icing can be end up tasting like icing sugar above all else but that wasn't the case here at all. When my sister got off her call, we went in for a second - Men are from Mars, a chocolate cupcake topped with malt frosting dipped in a chocolate shell with a caramel centre. It sounds like a lot but once again they nailed each flavour and they all worked together so well. I normally avoid chocolate cakes but this one was delicious and I'd definitely recommend. In fact, I'd recommended everything I've tried thus far and I'm sure that opinion isn't about to change.

I enjoy that Coconut and Cookie as it has the pure Coconut taste and is even more fun with a chunky bite-size cookie from that scoop. I don't know how they did and that was incredible. The Bubble Gum, Butterscotch Ripple, and Berry Port (Boozy Ice Cream) are notable Flavours. Gotta come back to this place when they're Watermelon Lavender back in stock.

I was impressed with the cake part. It was moist without being greasy, however, it was a little on the small side. The icing had a good texture but there was something I didn't love about the flavour; I felt like it was lacking the brightness a citrus flavour should pack. Overall I think I would definitely be interested in coming back to try out a few more flavors and get a better idea of the place. One cupcake is simply not enough to accurately judge, however, this place definitely has some potential. I'll be looking forward to my next visit!
