I had a really frustrating experience with the customer service. I dropped my car off at 9:00 AM to get a few things fixed, and right after I checked in, I received a text promising updates on the progress. However, I didn't hear anything the entire day. After being on hold for 20 minutes and getting transferred several times, I never managed to speak with anyone. I left a message, and they called me back immediately to tell me my car was ready at 4:15 PM--even though they close at 5 and I live 45 minutes away! They said they would leave the keys in the car for me. As for the transmission issue, they couldn't find out why it doesn't always shift out of first gear. I'm hopeful they addressed the other problems, but since the staff will be gone when I pick it up, I won't have a chance to talk to anyone. Bought a used 2019 Nissan Frontier in Feb 2023. Sales Team was very good. Took it in today 08/05/23, for the first oil change and tire rotation since purchase, appointment 930am. One item on my list was the right front D/S tire kept losing air, the tire light was on. Today was my first experience with the Service Dept. The tech came took the truck and disappeared, I watch my truck go up route 28. I was outside with my husband, I came back inside and asked where they took the truck, the male service writer, told me they took it for a test drive. I asked why (for an oil change and tire rotation?!!) He states "they always do that" Went back outside with my husband, the male service writer came outside, was rude to us, gave a us a lecture and went back inside. My husband and I went back inside to the waiting room, and hour later at 1030am the male service writer came to us with an ipad, telling us that a rear seal was leaking. He asked if there is a warranty, yes there is, he said it is a covered repair. Then he said that the seal/gasket on the tire valve stem was bad needed to be replaced. Cost $22 we agreed. He went back to the service area, to go ahead with repair. 1130am, my husband asked if the truck was done yet. The service writer goes over the rear seal leakage, tells us hes not sure if its covered, I said "You told us an hour ago its covered" he denied that of course. We go to the cashier, they over charged for the seal/gasket. The cashier took the receipt back to him, explained, he came back to us and said it was sales tax, meanwhile on MY copy of the receipt and repair order it showed $25. I can afford the $3 its the principal. To avoid conflict we paid the bill, went to the truck to leave, the truck was driven SEVEN MILES, apparently someone went on a breakfast run to "test drive" the truck If this service department is this shady about what they say and a $22 part, ***STAY AWAY FROM HERE*** Also during the time we were there, another customer came in for his appointment, to replace a mud flap, he was told was ordered and in stock. The same service writer told him it was not in stock, and he would have to buy a pair of mud flaps, the guy said, "I don't need two, I only need one" Needless to say he left without the repair. ***STAY FAR FAR AWAY*** read more

Went here because of the guaranteed credit because my credit wasn't the best. I got a 2020 Nissan rogue and within four days of owning it my check engine light came on and I had to have the engine replaced. they had my car for over a month and they said they couldn't replace it with a different car until mine got fixed. So after two weeks of having my car back I took it to the car wash and noticed my rear hatch window was leaking water into my car. called made an appointment and when I got there they looked at it and said they don't do window replacements. so I had to call Safelite and make an appointment there to get it replaced. I had to pay out of pocket to get it replaced even tho it should have been under warranty nope because they don't replace windows. then two weeks later I had To have my car towed to my mechanic because it wouldn't start. they had to replace the alternator. But I shouldn't be having issues with it because they put a "new" engine in my car. Nope the alternator had to be replaced and a computer because they never put the cover over my fuse box in the engine bay and was getting wet. its still in the shop getting fixed because it's still having diagnostic issues. and what do you know I have to pay out of pocket because it's not under warranty 4 months after having the car. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM ITS BEEN NOTHING BUT A HEADACHE. read more

Poor customer service at Kingston Nissan. In an effort to resolve an issue I contacted the salesman who sold me my car. I was rushed off the phone, dismissed and told "you have the only Nissan in production without Nissan Connect" I emailed him after visiting Nissan Poughkeepsie and being told that the options in question weren't on my car. My email was simply seeking a resolution. This is the response I got. "You do indeed NOT have the services and as I told you on the phone when you called me about this I found out there wasn't connect in the S. My apologies for the initial mis speak. You will be happy to know that your 64.5 survey was enough to eliminate me from a $1400 monthly bonus from Nissan. The survey stays on for the next 3 months and undoubtably cost me much more. Shame on me. Good luck and as I did such a terrible job with this sale and delivery I have to again apologize." I didn't complete the survey until I was abruptly hung up on. He admitted that he sold me the car not knowing the options weren't on that model. He "mis spoke" and got his information wrong in addition to treating a customer like this. During delivery he said Nissan Connect was closed on Saturday for me to call Monday to set it up. I contacted the General Sales Manager. The Bluetooth does have a disconnect issue. Over the course of two phone calls without ever seeing the car I was told it was due to my finance payments and my updates on my phone. Only willing to look at Bluetooth issue. I have a (freebie) recall fix in progress on my 2008 Versa. And I got good warm fuzzies all around. Quick scheduling, which I requested due to planned travel, finding an important auxiliary recall which another dealer seemed to miss, general cordiality, clean comfy waiting room with a good coffee machine, and assistance with pickup/delivery of the vehicle, as well as good telephone coordination. Also a special inspection, and good information about what was being done. I knew exactly what I wanted & what I was willing to pay. Then I insisted on more for my trade in. We came to an agreement with no pressure. George McAvoy was the rep and very easy to deal with. We came to a fair deal for all like reasonable people working out an agreement & again no pushing to get anything I didn't want like extended warranty etc. And the topper.... They will pick up my truck and deliver it back when it needs an oil change or service even though I live about 35 miles away. Definitely my goto dealer from now on. read more

I wish I could give less than 1 star because they are Absolute crooks. The moral of the story: Do NOT go here for any reason. I had my vehicle brought there back in July because it was stalling out while driving. Mind you this is a Brand-new 2019 Nissan I purchased from THIS dealership. I am the first and only owner and I get the vehicle serviced regularly, just not here because I always feel like dealership service centers take advantage of their customers, especially if they are women. When I was having this issue my vehicle had just over 39,000miles on it. They were going to take at least a week to even look at my car that was not drivable and could not offer me any rental car for the time being, claiming there was a 2 week plus wait for rentals. My option through my warranty was they would reimburse up to $35/day as long as the vehicle was actively being worked on, and the prices for rentals on the lower end were well over $100/day...not to mention my vehicle was not going to be worked on for several days at best. It was more cost effective to pay for a ride to get to and from work, which of course is not reimbursed at all. These issues aside, Kingston Nissan said the problem with my vehicle was that the air filter was dirty and clogged the mass airflow sensor, causing my vehicle to stall. The video they sent me of the "dirty" air filter was just slightly discolored, and had no debris inside. I would expect if it was truly bad enough to cause so much damage to my vehicle there would have at least been a few leaves or acorns and much heavier discoloration. They were unable to provide me with the sealed by design, yet "clogged" mass airflow sensor as evidence when the services were rendered, only the old air filter. They replaced the air filter, mass airflow sensor and flushed out the system. It was only after the services were rendered and I went to get my vehicle that they informed me it was not covered by my "ultimate" warranty package and if I wanted my vehicle, I would have to pay for the services myself. They claimed the cause of the issue was because I hadn't received my last oil change at their facility, so the other shop must have put my "dirty" air filter in backwards and caused the issue. The shop I use for everything non-Nissan Warranty related did not cause this issue. I contacted them and they pulled up the security footage proving that not only did they not put my air filter back in backwards, they did not even touch that side of the vehicle during the service. This other shop fully covers all of their services under their own warranty and had I been told this was the cause of the problem prior to it being fixed, I would have had them tow my car there and fixed the problem they allegedly caused, if they had actually caused it. In fact, prior to watching the security footage, the shop owner asked why I did not do just that. I did not know that Kingston Nissan was going to play the blame game when it came to receiving payment for their work, because who would expect that? I purchased the most expensive warranty option for my brand-new vehicle that then broke down with just over 39,000 miles on it, why would I expect any sort of payment issue, is absolutely should be covered under warranty. I have tried calling multiple times and cannot get a call back. I e-mailed the service and general manager and again, did not receive a call back. This "service" is absolutely despicable. I will not be returning to Kingston Nissan for any reason, service or sales because clearly their entire operation is a scam and I strongly urge everyone to do the same. read more

This dealership is by far the worst. After running my credit over and over, they approved me for a car. The car I received was a lemon. I purchased the vehicle 31st of January 2023. 3 months later. Check engine light comes on. Low oil engine pressure warning light keeps flashing. I was told not to drive the vehicle. I spoke to a lady, about the car issues. She told me to bring the car in, but they wouldn't get to my car until 7/10. I asked about a loaner, I was told they were backed up with service issues. That there was other in front of me, that have been waiting as well for loaners. With a two year warranty on my car, Kingston Nissan still haven't come to get my vehicle. I was told to bring it to a shop in my area. I did just that, had the adjuster come out look at the car. After a week they contacted the shop back, saying they would like them to break the engine down , and find out why the oil isn't going through the engine. The shop refused to break the engine down. They insisted I needed a new engine. After so many months no results. I called Kingston Nissan again. Where I spoke to the same lady. She was rude and very unprofessional. I asked her a question. Should I get a lawyer involved. She told me since I mentioned a lawyer she wasn't going to talk to me and hung up in my ear. I called back, the lady repeated the same thing. ("You mentioned a lawyer I can't talk to you") she then hung up in my ear again, after refusing to give me her name. I NEVER told her I had retained a lawyer, but if I needed one. I tried reaching the sales man Richard who assisted me with purchasing my vehicle. He had no solution to my problem. But to drop it off without a loaner and just wait until whenever they get to it. Remind you I can't drive the car. There is no oil going to the engine at all. The mechanic I went to, went under the car to check out the filter. Looks brand new still. No oil at all has touched the filter. 6 months later my car is still parked in my driveway. I have to pay for Ubers everywhere. I am enrolled in school, which is an hour and a half from where I live. I have contacted the Better Business Barrel about this dealership. In hopes of getting a different car. Lesson learned, my first time leasing a car. MC the salesperson was attentive and helpful and ready to answer all of my questions. Since I was coming from out of town, there was no problem with the negotiations which were quick and as promised. They will scam and rip you off if you bring your car in for service. They told me my car had "no compression". Then they wanted to charge me to diagnose why it had no compression for another $150. It did have compression and a matter of fact I'm still driving it today. This is a low level dealership and if your smart you'd stay away. I wouldn't buy screws to mount my license plates from them, let alone a vehicle. Also the employees are rude and used vulgar language in front of my 7 year old son. The girl up front was too busy ordering bacon cheeseburgers to assist customers. Just a horribly run dealership. I will never go back. read more

Stick with Honda. Our 2018 Murano with 19,000 miles on it was taken in for oil change, inspection, and rotate tires. Ended up with a $700 bill! Claim front brake pads ok but grooved and rusted inside. Again, 19,000 miles on it. This should have never happened. However, Nissan will not back us up on this. Took $60 off bill.
