I feel like I just dealt with a middle schooler running a lemonade stand. I called on July 14th and made a consultation appointment for July 24th. They said it was worth the wait because of their company's expertise. When I still hadn't heard about a time window for consultation on the 24th, I called and asked. They said they had no scheduled appointment for me. I was surprised and disappointed, but kept my cool and asked what could be done. They said they'd call me back in five minutes. Ten minutes later I get a TEXT saying they don't service my area of Tucson. Sorry. Wait... so on the 14th, they took down my name, number, address, and TOLD me that they scheduled me in. They never called back and said sorry, we don't schedule that area--even though they knew the address. The text response is so bush league. Are we 18 years old and breaking up? You're running a business that doesn't even have an email contact. You need to call. Clearly they were scared about the scolding they expected to receive, but really, they don't deserve that level of emotional response. Really pathetic, Romeo. Get your employees' shit together. It's making you look like you don't know what you're doing, even if you know a lot about trees. read more

And I love that when hiring Angelo and his crew that they don't take shortcuts. So that means natural-looking results instead of those horrendous "lion's tail" trees. Angelo just completed servicing about eight trees on my home and rental. I can't thank this company enough for taking the time to gently explain their approach and ensuring each cut has a purpose. Angelo came back a second day to do the finishing touches on the rental and it looks amazing- the canopies are opened up and the trees look happy and healthy. At the same time, the care he took with the selective cuts makes the landscape look completely natural as if no maintenance was done. Cleanup was also impeccable. This is not your typical arborist or landscape company-- if you care about your landscape and you are looking for quality, this is the company to hire. I'm not complaining about free mulch, but when put in a request last year and on the website it says no guarantee and not hearing from anyone. I assume that I was never going to get any ever since the request form is a "request" and not a confirmation of obligation. I think it would be better business to confirm especially being last year, if still want the mulch. Instead I am at work not able to answer personal calls and my husband doesn't know what's going on. And leaving a voice message asking if I still want mulch and stating that if I don't call back that it will be given to someone else then 10 minutes later dumping it on the driveway anyway...I still don't see where on the website it says I should have called to cancel, when it says not to call the office to inquire about it....confusing to me i don't know read more

Angelo, the owner, patiently and kindly schooled me in the whys and hows of tree trimming. They did an amazing job on the trees and just as importantly the clean-up. This business offers to drop off free mulch if you sign up on their website. Well, it's been six months and I'm still waiting. No response, no phone call, nothing. So I called today and got nowhere with the nice lady on the phone. Apparently midtown Tucson is too far for them to travel??!! Why even bother advertising free mulch if you just blow people off? We've gotten free mulch from them twice now and they are super courteous and communicative. You just sign up online and they call/text if they are going to be near your house. One time it took a while, but this past time they called me the next day! Just depends on who else has signed up and what area you're in. Have not used them for tree services yet but would seek them out if I need it. I recommend them! read more

Our Palo Verde cracked and split so we called Romeo because they had good reviews on google. Romeo is clearly trained in arboriculture and knows a lot about trees. They are a little pricier than others, but you get what you pay for. They were on time, and did good cleanup (this is the only suggestion I have, cleanup was good but not quite excellent, if it had been a little better I would have given 5 stars). Overall very happy with the work and the advice about the continued care of our trees. read more

I work from home and require a high-speed internet connection to do my job. That connection was threatened by a large branch from a tree that had fallen and was resting on the wires that connect the Internet to my house from the service poles. Angelo came to our community to lead a class about tree trimming. It's obvious that he has a ton of experience and is willing to go above and beyond what a normal contractor would do by giving us a class on how to do the work ourselves. He was enthusiastic, knowledgable, and generous with his time (vs. what he billed us for). If you just want someone to chop at your trees, I wouldn't hire him. But if you want someone who has a long-term vision of what your trees need to be healthy and beautiful, Angelo would be a good fit for you. read more

My large Palo Verde tree was growing very large, and the limbs were breaking because it could not support the weight. I wanted someone who really knew what they were doing with native desert trees, who could prune it to take the weight off and encourage it to grow in a better shape. Romeo Tree Service did a fantastic job, and also taught me how to make the best cuts to keep it in shape. The tree looks so nice I keep walking outside to look at it. I had a very good experience with Romeo's Tree service. When my mesquite tree partly fell over during the monsoon rains I checked on line and found this service well reviewed with several reviews on yellow pages. I also checked out Romeo's web page. When I called for an estimate the owner Angelo Romero was in the neighborhood and arrived within an hour or so. I checked his estimate against another tree service recommended by my neighbor and his estimate was $65 less. Angelo had explained that his estimate might be higher than some competitors because he was going to put in a double cable and trim the mesquite. He said it might cost more but it significantly increased the chances for a good outcome for the tree. Angelo really seems to know trees. He explained many things to me about future care of this mesquite and also gave me information on some of the other trees in yard. When I decided to use Romeo's service, Angelo arrived promptly and worked efficiently. My mesquite tree is now sturdily anchored in my backyard. Throughout this process I found Angelo to be a good communicator, honest, high energy, efficient and knowledgeable. He solved the problem quickly and effectively at a reasonable price. read more
