Romeo's completed 3 days work at my condo removing several 5-story high trees. These guys were amazing. I had an unobstructed view from my corner apartment and THEY NEVER STOPPED WORKING. Further, they worked like a precision drill team: mobilized equipment (mulchers, cranes, backhoes) quickly and quietly, pulverized and cleaned up completely, and ground the tree stumps into mulch. I was very impressed. Usually I would expect a few workers to be under-utilized, but this team was perfectly synchronized, fluid, and relentlessly busy. 5 stars! Highly recommended. read more

The tree service provided by ROMEO's Tree Service (Glenn Dale, Maryland) for my entire project was a "WOW" moment. From the professionalism, the skillful staff, the cleanup, all the way to the customer service to my neighbor's property, was 100% amazing and the price was extremely, extremely reasonable. I had a variety of twelve 30-year-old trees, that all towered over my house with their roots damaging my driveway and foundation. In 2 1/2 days, all 12 trees were removed, stumps grinded, and impeccable cleanup performed. They even removed the pinecones and needles from my neighbor's yard as part of the cleanup from the 6 pine trees they removed from my yard. Some of their equipment could not fit through my wood fence gate. But that didn't stop their plan. With my permission of course, they removed part of my fence to widen the opening. The drivers with such precision and accuracy drove those huge trucks, and cranes, and remote grinder into my back & front yards. It was amazing watching them work. The safety and communication between the tree climber and grounds-men as they roped and cut-down those trees was a site-to-see. Once the job was complete, they put my fence back better than it was. If you ever need any type of tree service performed, give ROMEO's Tree Service a call FIRST. Don't waste your time with other estimates. Out of 10 estimates over a 1-year period, Romeo's prices were SUPERB for a tree service company that is licensed & bonded with insurance and goes above and beyond in customer satisfaction. He was very knowledgeable about how to prevent the trees from falling and the rules as they relate to my neighbors. They were out within a few days and finished quickly. I've used Romeo's tree services twice now and I highly recommend them! Romeo and his team are reasonably priced, professional, and very capable. I shopped around with several tree companies and they were the only ones that took care of everything. I didn't have to apply for permits to shut down one lane of the street, which I really appreciated. They took down my diseased elm tree, ground the stump, and hauled the debris away. With the new sod in place (not installed by Romeo), you would be hard pressed to believe that there used to be a gigantic tree there. I couldn't be happier with the service. We hired Romeo's Tree Service to cut down and very tall white oak in our yard. Romeo gave us a very fair quote which compared with three others, was the lowest. He called me to remind me of the appointment and did an awesome job. They also ground the stump for an equally fair price. His team was on time and did great work. Romeo himself checked the stump to make sure all ground up. They found a metal pipe within the tree stump that must have been old where the tree actually grew over it. They dug it up as well. We needed a tree service this past weekend after the wind storm. Romeo was able to come out the next morning for an assssment and had his team out just a few hours later. This company was recommended to me. The owner came out to give me an estimate to remove four trees and trim three. When I was ready to move forward, his son came out to provide the services, but he did not want to uphold the estimate. He wanted to increase it by more than $1k. I was very disappointed with this company and their lack of professionalism. I would never recommend them to anyone. read more

WOW - very nice job ! They removed two massive old trees from the side of my house. I called around and got four quotes and Romeos was the best price plus they were able to come quickly. The other places were quoting me dates after 12/1 (I was calling mid September). They brought large trucks and equipment and made quick work of the big trees. I mentioned maybe coming back for other trees since I couldn't afford them all at once and he was more than accommodating. I hired these guys to take down a pair of Massive tulip poplars and a smaller tree that were in danger of falling thru my house. A team of 6 guys showed up on time and worked like beavers all day in the 100 degree heat. I watched them in awe part of the time, it was like watching a well planned dance. They made it look safe and easy. When they were done they did an excellent job of cleaning everything up. After they left, I measured the stumps, one was 54 inches across. The provider came by, gave me a quote. I called MISS Utility to get the area marked and I called them to have the tree removed. They kept saying they would show up but never did. When I called them, they said they would send the crew when they had some time because it was a "small job". They didn't show up. I called again and they said Saturday. They never showed up. I called again. They said within the next week. They never showed up. I called again, they said Monday 8-830am. I stayed home from work. They never showed up. I called and was told the crew was at another job. I also let them know that it was crucial I get the tree removed today because other contractors are waiting for the tree to be removed to do their job. Because the tree was not removed now I have to cancel the other contractor and incur that cost. If you want a contractor that takes you seriously even for "small jobs" don't go with this provider. read more

I didn't contact this company for service, they appeared to be subcontractors for a local utility. My husband and I came home from shopping and found that our driveway was completely blocked with tree limbs of all sizes. I had to get out to clear a way into the driveway so we could get in. We are not young, and it was not easy to get all of the clutter cleared enough. Some of the branches were quite large and heavy. The two men who were working on this were totally indifferent to our plight. I told them that we needed to get into the driveway so we could unload our groceries. One man just shrugged and grinned and said "Sorry". So no help lifting these heavy limbs. I was furious. My husband has a bad back and I wasn't about to let him do any of the lifting. We finally got the car into the carport but had to remove some branches that had gotten stuck underneath the car. Crawling on the ground wasn't so great for my knees and back, either. I would love to complain to whatever utility or county government department selected these folks. I think they owe us an explanation and an apology. read more

Not impressed. Crew arrived 45 minutes late. Instructions were provided regarding the work that was needed. The crew informed me that the scope of what I wanted was probably beyond what they could get accomplished in one day. I absolutely understood and provided them what the priority items were. The foreman walked through those items with me and agreed. Upon my return, three hours later, the crew had not begun on the priority items and had instead begun working backwards on items which were clearly not as critical. I asked the foreman if they were going to ensure that the priority items were handled. He informed me that they would. When I returned three hours after that, the priority items were still not accomplished. I asked the foreman when the priority items were going to be handled. He then replied that the crew was not going to have enough time left to do those items and I would have to schedule for another day. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Additionally, at the end of the day, I was told that I was being charged an additional $200 because of "extra truck loads." This was never communicated prior. I specifically asked the crew upon their arrival what could be done within the scope of the deal that was paid for. There was never a mention of additional fees. Additionally, the clean-up was rushed and incomplete. I spent an hour this morning cleaning up wood chips, branches, torn rope AND numerous water bottles left strewn throughout my property. The amount of damage done to my lawn was not acceptable. I have had several tree service companies serve my needs in the past with excellent outcomes. I chose to try another company due to the Angie's List deal that was offered and the listed reviews. Clearly, this offer is not a good deal if you do not get what you are expecting. The crew worked hard and I appreciate their efforts however I cannot say that the service that was provided met expectations. read more
