Terrible!! The lady doesn't know how to cut. She cut one of my boy's hair very crooked (see attached pictures). And I had to tell her to just stop with my other son (age 4) because she didn't know how to use scissors on my other son's longer hair. She cut only one side and his hair is so thin that it's difficult to cut. She said she had to charge me for her time for cutting just one side of his hair!!! Seems like she doesn't work with repeat customers. I will not be going back. Never!! read more

My normal guy wasn't there but needed a cut so decided to stay. I was eventually called by a less than enthusiastic older woman. I am not picking on this person because I'm ageist. She just didn't know how to cut hair and I'm pissed because I'll probably have to go to someone else to fix it. She used clippers to cut my entire head which was supposed to be a 2 on the sides and about an inch off the top. She did the entire cut with clippers, no scissors and took forever. Who does that? She also cleaned up one sideburn and didn't touch the other. It took for freaking ever so I wanted to get out of there and it wasn't until I got home that I realized it was uneven and just overall a poor job. My pop is a barber and still works at the age of 77, so I have respect for this profession. I really enjoy coming here to Romero's as I can't make it all the way to Venice to see my pop for hair cuts. There can sometimes be a long wait, but any good shop has wait times. T.V. is on, shop is well kept, 3 to 4 chairs open and pride in their work. I usually see Kevin, but have had my hair cut by other barber's. Prices are excellent as I am 50 and need a little extra cleaning up. I have lived in Valencia for almost 6 years and tried a few shops, and lets just say the last 5 1/2 years been coming here. I was there today in and out in about 45 minutes and cleaned up for the week. A+ guys see you soon! read more

Luis did a great job on the kiddo's hair. It was so overgrown and had lost its shape. He's a picky teen who doesn't quite know what he wants and is a bit shy to speak up when getting his hair cut, but he knows he wants to look "good". Luis asked questions and gave some prompts. Luis listened and understood the style he was going for; longer in too with short sides and lines on the sides. We really appreciated his suggestion to put 2 lines on one side (yes!) vs what Colin wanted (matching lines on each side - we told him that, but who listens to parents?! ). This really told us that Luis cares about what he stamps his name on - he wants his clients to look good! Colin walked out feeling beast. :) Haha Will definitely be back & will look for Luis again! I can't comment on their work but I can definitely tell you their customer service needs improvement. I simply called to ask if Kevin would be in the day after so I can come in, and before I asked, the guy that answered simply said yes he's in but they are closing soon. I then responded that I was not asking to come in today but just had a question for Kevin; he then continued with go ahead. Not hey sorry but this is Kevin, or how can I help, but just "go ahead" and with a "hurry I need to get off" tone. Oh well, I won't be trying this place out. Too bad these businesses can't seem to get that first impressions dictate whether a customer buys from them or not. read more

I remember years ago when it was called Dannys and even then the service was great. Rush hour occurs on fridays and saturday evenings. The new place has been completely restored and the barbers are really good. Ever since I moved back to Newhall I have seen that the barbers are more educated and more knowledgeable. I visited other local shops and decided to go with these guys. I found that they were very friendly guys and more importantly, they are skilled and professional barbers. They even have a pool table if you want to play while you're waiting. They take the time and do a quality job, with all the trimmings you'd expect from a traditional barber shop.
