And if you just want to show up and eat, there were 5-6 vendors selling sausage rolls, burgers, chicken, pulled pork/beef sandwiches, plus French stews. While there are much bigger/well known weekend markets in London, I think this is the best example of a local one that is mostly focused on farmers, fisherman, bakers and butchers - but that also has a lot of stalls where you can eat something really nice. Nobody is selling overpriced jars of stuff or catering to massive crowds. This is a market where you can discuss how the cheese is made with the person who made it.

They only accept cash so bring plenty or face a ~£2 surcharge at the only near by cash machine in Londis. After eating be sure to wonder around the vast gardens of Alexandra palace and grab a cake at the garden centre nearby. This is my favourite nearby place to bring my dog for walks.
