Derek Stewart went way out of his way to help me and he quickly diagnosed and sold me the parts needed. Amazingly, he grabbed some tools and installed the parts getting my chainsaw back in business. I had rented a 40 foot lift to remove a tree that was dangerously stuck in another tree, it was costing me $600.00 a day for the lift. I went to Ron Ayers for two tire installation for my moped , one only needed the valve stem I provided the other was a 12 inch rim with the tire to be installed, I got there at 235 pm the guy said 50 dollars each I said why so expensive just to install a valve stem , here I am it's 450 pm still waiting, something so simple, yet expensive and it took hours to make it happen when I know it doesn't, I was hungry, I was with my dog , this service really sucks .... * read more

I have made purchases from Ron Ayres Motorsports for many years. My last order was for two oil seals The seals came to $39.12. Then they charged me $23.95 special handling fee. I inquired four separate times why the outrageous fee. Not once did they answer me. Then, to top it off, they sent my order to Arizona. But I was sitting in Oregon waiting for the seals. When I finally got the seals, I had missed a planned ride. Total failure on their part and non existent customer service. All these years of purchasing from them has come to an end. read more

Pretty disappointing. Basically you have to go see the place in person. DO NOT trust anything you see from their website and don't expect them to get back to you when you use their contact links or email them. There's a really good chance you won't be able to get them to answer the phone either so that's kind of a bummer. Basically there's no way to know what they have unless you physically go there. They'll try to lowball you on your trade, which that's something you see at dealerships but when you add that to them not having the bikes they say they have it does not make for a good experience at all. The facts: Asked for a specific model, and they said they could order it. Then when it was late, they blamed customs. Then when the wrong bike came, they didn't notice. Then, when I pointed it out to them, they blamed Kawasaki, and then blamed me, and then blamed the sales guy. They were charging MSRP and a high APR. I found a much better deal elsewhere and gave them a chance to do right by me and meet the same price I got from another dealership and they balked--so I walked. You can look up your motorcycle and they have these incredible diagrams that you can magnify to look at precisely the part that you need - and then pick it out and buy it along with the gaskets or whatever else goes along with it. I've been dealing with Partzilla and most recently with Rocky Mountain ATV for OEM parts. Since this virus stuff, I have realized that they have been cashing in on the craziness and their prices have gone up from 10-20 % The two companies have been lacking in processing and shipping of products. I can actually order a fuel tank for 120 dollars less on Ron Ayers website than Partzilla. Big difference! I don't like being ripped off by a bunch of chiselers just because everyone is spending some stimulus money. Ron Ayers so far has not gotten greedy! Check them out... read more

I will never take my bike here to be worked on by this shop again. Before what happened to me, another customer was there who said he dropped tires off to be mounted at 9am. He came back and waited from 12:30 to 1:30. He then told me they charged him nearly 200 for mounting. MOUNTING. I take mine in to have a lot of work done. It wasn't done right to start and the project was taken over by Jim the shop manager. I wanted my front turn signals to stay. He took them off saying "looks". He later said he couldn't keep them on because it wouldn't work. I saw it on other bikes just like mine so I know that's a lie. I had LED lights installed. I admit I miss counted the strips (there was 12) but the pods where not put on my bike. Out of 14 of those they mounted 2! Spoke to the owner when Jim had an attitude and told him I was going to write a review. He asked me not to and to give the shop another chance. I went back this weekend and gave them another chance and they stiffed me again. I asked for grips and turn signals to be put back on. This should have taken 2 hours tops to do. They did the work so should know it. 5 hours later they charged me full price for that work (they got it wrong to start) and the front right turn signal IS NOT WORKING. I went 30 miles and it is stopped working. $600 for that mess. And I already put way to much into the rest of the work that I had done. I know they over charged as another shop said they could do what I wanted for 2500 but I went with Ron Ayers as they swore they are the best in Eastern NC. DO NOT GET YOUR BIKE WORKED ON HERE! I am saying this as a person who takes customer service very seriously. When other customers are telling me their horror stories you know it's bad. Never again. That's why the reviews are so terrible on here and I wish I looked at them before having them touch my bike. read more

I haven't been to this store in years and had to stop in recently to pick up an oil filter for my motorcycle. To my surprise they now have Zero Turn Mowers, Hustler and Toro I think, STIHL power equipment and even Traxxas Rc cars and even and RC car racetrack! Wow! They really do have everything. And the employees there were on their game. I think I got asked three times could I be helped and even had an employee escort and introduce me to Allen one of their parts guys for my oil filter. If anyone from the Greenville area has not checked out this place they should. These guys are awesome. And Allen had my oil filter in no time flat and even gave me some great ideas for some new accessories for my bike! read more

Looked on their website for the OEM part I needed, it was listed. I clicked on it an noticed a slightly different part number. I called to ask about the discrepancy. The CS rep stated the part I needed was superseded by the new part in the description. He stated I would get the correct part if I placed the order and there was no change in the price. I placed the order and get an email about a half hour later saying the price went up by more than 50%. When I contacted the sales manager I was told that's just the way it is (paraphrasing). I cancelled the order and ordered the part from Partzilla. I will not shop Ron Ayers again read more

I have dealt with their customer service twice because of the diagrams which run together on the 929 and 954 causing me to order the wrong item occasionally. They are super friendly and prompt in responding. They take care of the issue and really look to help out the customer. This review is about amazing, unexpected, old fashioned, great service! I went in to Ron Ayers Motorsports to look at Stihl Brush Cutters/weed-whackers.... I was greeted at the door by two employees who commented on the look of shock on my face as I scanned their showroom; it's an amazing sight, it is huge, and packed full of equipment, motorcycles and just about every type of 4-wheeler in the world. They asked what they could help me with; I said I'd like to see some Stihl Brush Cutters / weed-whackers. They escorted me (didn't just point me in the general direction!) to the Stihl department/area and introduced me to guy in charge there. He too was super-helpful, took all the time in the world to patiently explain everything I asked about, and was just as professional and friendly as the first two guys. He took a lot of time explaining the features, operation and warranties of the units that I had interest in.... I ended up buying an FS 90 with bike-bars, and an additional brush cutter kit and blade, and oil (buying the oil doubled the 2 year warranty to 4 years!)... He also brough another guy over to help prep the machine, showed how to change blades/string attachment and other features of the unit.... they then filled the tank and took me outside to actually run the unit and to make sure everything was working properly.... I actually left there in a bit of a daze. In about an hours time, I had contact with 4 of the Ron Ayers employees while there, and each of them made every effort to be helpful and friendly... this was in stark contrast to another Stihl dealer I had been to much closer to my home. (Ron Ayers is a 2 hour round trip from my house; the first dealer I visited 3 times, in the past 2 months, is just a 20 minute drive for me). After visiting the first Stihl; the one closest to my home, I had decided against buying a Stihl, at least not from them; mainly because of the lack of help each time I went to their store; I had to near-about beg them to come out from behind the counter to answer questions; and found they knew very little about their products anyway)..... dealing with the guys at Ron Ayers Motorsports was simply a pleasure! read more
