All the fabric got sold to one person. For all the people that I saw in line who were angry at them for selling it all, that is their job to make what they can for the people who hired them. It is not to please us. I've been to Estate Sales where an entire curio cabinet full of miniature clocks was sold to one person. I was hoping to get a couple of them. It happens!! They are the nicest people and fair pricing. Thanks for all the hard work you put in to these Sales. Let the negative comments roll off your backs. You all do a fantastic job!!!

I recently used Wade Estate to help clear out my parents' home. While the family who runs this…read morebusiness were very kind and personable, there were significant issues which, had I known about beforehand, would have caused me to go with another company. First, Ian toured the house and gave me a verbal quote for the "cleanout" after the sale. My family and I had already cleaned out much of the house, including all of the trash and personal items. This was definitely not like some of the packed houses I'm sure Ian has dealt with. When I got the final contract, the cleanout fee had increased significantly because I told him we would not be including my mom's gold jewelry in the sale. Ian tried repeatedly to get me to include it, and I kept telling him no. I agreed to the higher cleanout price, but in hindsight I realize this was classic "bait and switch." On the day of the sale, Ian already had two other sales being held simultaneously. Ian was never present at my parents' house at any point during our two day sale. It was clear to me that he was overbooked and not able to fully staff our sale. As an example, there were several items in the shed in the backyard that were never brought out or priced. Ian knew about the shed beforehand. I personally brought out some of the items on the first day of the sale and asked Ian's mom to price them. Also, there was only a tiny piece of tape indicating that the garage had items for sale. Most people never saw it. So, I took it upon myself to make a bigger sign and to sit in the garage so that people were aware of those items. Ian's mother actually tried to get me to leave, even going so far as to get Ian on the phone. She gave no other reason other than "some people get very upset seeing their loved ones' property being sold." I assured her multiple times that it actually was very comforting to me to see how much people were enjoying all the stuff. Eventually, Ian agreed to "let" me stay. (On my own parents' property!) On day 2 of the sale, two friends of Ian's came and bought multiple items in bulk. All of the books went to one very nice lady, and all of the furniture to another man. I have no way of knowing if they paid the stated price or got a "bulk deal." I am glad the things are gone, but it seemed suspicious. The house was fairly well cleaned out after the sale, but several items were left behind (items in dishwasher, items in garage, etc...) Messages I sent to Ian about these were not returned. In all, Ian and his family are personable and appear to be kind. They told me multiple times about their Christian faith. But it strikes me as not very "Christian" the way some of the sale was handled. Our family is dealing with significant grief and stress. Dad is going through the final stages of Alzheimer's disease. Thus, I was probably not as thorough as I normally would have been when setting up the contract terms with Ian. I'm sure this happens with a lot of the families Ian works with. In the end, we earned a "profit" of less than $400.00. This is from an estate that had many antiques, vintage costume jewelry, silver, Waterford crystal, quality furniture, etc. Did Wade Estate take advantage of us? I'll never know, but perhaps this review will help someone in the future to look further when searching for a company to help them in their own time of need.

Claims to have 15 years of experience but Ill bet its not being an auctioneer. First time I've seen an auctioneer sell a piece of gold jewelry for less than half of wholesale and then tell the bidders how much it weighed and how much it was really worth after he sold it. Experienced auctioneers weigh the item and tell their bidders what its worth before they sell it. Looked rather odd to me. Experienced auctioneers don't try to cram a two-day auction into one day without help. Why? Because after 6-8 hours most of your bidders are gone and you just give the stuff away, Bad for the consignors, bad for you, hey. Experience auctioneers respect peoples time and know that the people buying fishing lures, baseball cards and tools are not the same people buying household goods, jewelry, purses and knick knacks which is why they hire a second auctioneer and have two rings going at the same time especially when you have a large venue. I had to wonder why at two of your auctions I didn't see many people bidding on your coins unlike other local coin auctions Ive been to. It didn't take long for me and them to see they were bidding against you, and though there is no law against that it can be handled a lot better. In addition, there were some nice items that were waiting to be sold that never made it to the block to sell, yet another disappointment, no one wants to sit around and wait around hours for something that doesn't get the opportunity to be sold. This is one bidder you won't see again but somehow, I don't think that maters to you.

I did not feel I received good customer service with Reclaim. I agreed to purchase an item they…read morehad listed for sale on the third day of the estate sale. My shipper showed up for pick-up and suddenly Reclaim was nowhere to be found. My calls and voicemails went unreturned. I wish I hadn't tried to do business with this company. It just because a headache and I felt my time was disrespected and wasted when all I needed was a simple return of call so that my shipper was not waiting around for hours. Not a great way to win customers. Won't do business with again or recommend to others.

I went to a local "estate sale" hosted by Reclaim. Essentially the home owners hired Reclaim to…read morehost a garage/moving sale because they were downsizing. As I walked through the rooms, some items had a sign saying "Free" and when I inquired about the item I was told "someone already claimed it." Personally, I would have notated that on the sign. One of the bathrooms had used bottles of knock-off perfume (some of which had very little left) for sale at a ridiculously high price. I came across a few Longaberger baskets and asked one of the workers if the lid was included because it was not marked with a price, it stated on the packaging that the lid went with the basket, and it was placed underneath the basket. The employee told me that IT WAS included with the basket price, but when I went to purchase the basket, a blond lady (who appeared to be the owner or manager of this company) said the lid was not included in the price because the basket was priced too low to begin with (although they do the pricing). I explained that one of her employees told me that it WAS included and it was stated on the package that it went with THIS basket. I showed her that the package was not marked with a price and was sitting underneath the basket. She argues with me in front of the other customers, walks away, comes back and says "all of the other items are priced" and insinuated that I removed the price tag! Her employee said "it was never marked" so the manager/owner just came up with a random price on the spot. I found that to be very unprofessional. I provided my email address to get my credit card receipt emailed to me and she initially misspelled it and when I corrected her she said "yeah, ok" but I never received the emailed receipt. She had some people giving her their information for offers on certain items and when they left, she said "that's not gonna happen, it's too low." So why accept their personal information? Bottom line...this company seems a bit shady and the owner/manager quite unprofessional. I won't be attending any more of their "estate sales."
