Chris came to my house, explained in detail the work they perform, showed me the best way to solve my problems of my 20 year old gutters. He was very knowledgeable about this type of work. He took pictures, shared them with me and explained what needed to be done. The employees were very good, friendly and hard workers. They were dedicated workers who worked and produced a quality job. They finished, gather the trash, ran a roller magnet to make sure no nails were left after the job. My roof looks great and very satisfied with the work done by Sutton's employees. We had our siding replaced by Suttons a year and a half ago and cannot overstate how poor of a job…read morethat was done. Their own inspectors have come out and directly told us the work that was done was lazy and appalling. They were confused by many of the decisions made putting up the siding. Due to the language barrier, we couldn't even communicate effectively with the crew that came out, and the foreman who we were told was the person we need to talk to - would disappear regularly. We have two young kids and the amount of DANGER this company has introduced is inexcusable. We have picked up nearly a pound of nails out of our yard, sidewalk, and driveway. Despite telling us they were going to not leave it like this - our garage walls have the sharp ends of nails sticking out at least 2" ALL OVER. It looks like a torture coffin. We've called repeatedly and just get lip service - no one addresses anything.

We were very comfortable with his recommendations and his work. Before starting, he provided samples and brochures of the products he would used, helping us to decide which color was best for us. We were so pleased to have him helping us due to his level of service, and expertise that we have hired him to refinish two rooms with hardwood floors. I'm sharing pictures of our before and after paint job today. The before images are the natural stone color and the new color is a shade of black. In short, they ended up going downstairs and re-routed the sump to my sludge pit and the line became disconnected and discharged water all over my basement flooring. Jake authorized me to contact my insurance company to bring ServPro out and stated their insurance would cover it working through my insurance. I got the mess cleaned up and when I had my insurance company reach out to theirs, apparently Jake Ray & Sons had let their insurance coverage lapse. After Danielle Ray stated that they would reimburse me for the bill at approx. $500 per month until it was paid off, they refuse to make payment. Of course, I paid them for the work they did in a timely manner, but apparently they don't have the same integrity and are ignoring their commitment. So, now it's August 1st and I have to go to Sangamon County Small Claims Court to recover the amount both Jake and Danielle said they would cover. I would never, ever, recommend their services to anyone. Keep in mind, they may still be uninsured and their most recent post prior to mine was well over a year ago.
