She began charging double for services and chemicals. Another company fixed a problem she exaggerated for just $50. She may costed us $2k+ there. 2. She let our pool develop severe algae, costing us $2000 to fix. She cited an emergency but never took responsibility or tried to make it right. 3. She pushed us to buy a $1500 pool vacuum, which broke after three months. She took it for repairs and never returned it despite my DOZENS of calls and numerous promises from her that she'd "return it this week." She hasn't answered my calls of texts in months. Seems like property theft to me. Morning Star Pools now services our pool reliably for half the cost without needing a vacuum. Lisa's unprofessionalism, lack of accountability, and rude communication leave me no choice but to share this experience.

They did what they said they would do when they said they would do it. With any project of this size there were hiccups, but they were taken care of with a simple text message. The owner himself even came out and changed a faulty valve one morning and he's even walked me through some troubleshooting over the phone to solve a problem. The biggest surprise was they opted to increase the width of the of our decking on either side of the pool significantly without an additional charge. They saw an opportunity to make us even happier with the result and made it happen at their expense. How often does that sort of thing happen? I admit this review may sound too good to be true but it's not. I waited to write it until all the odds and ends had been corrected so I could make an honest assessment of the entire project. The pebble bottom which I sited in my original review was so discolored and uneven we needed to pay someone to drain our pool and do an acid wash on it to at least make it look "okay" not great but better than awful. Michael personally came to inspect the job and discussed several options, with an eye towards keeping it as affordable as possible. He and his crew kept us in constant communication, and showed up on site when they said they would. The leaks were completely resolved and they applied a new stucco surface coat to wrap up the job. For the coping stones, the aesthetic of the grout lines weren't exactly what we were looking for initially. Yet, they gladly came back to resolve the issue at no additional cost and it looks great. Michael and his team are professional, dependable, and do great work. I would definitely hire them again for any pool repair/reconditioning work.

What went wrong for us was a series of increasingly expensive repairs. First the lights. Then the pump. But the pump wasn't properly connected with our old control system. So the heater fried and needed a new manifold. Thousands of dollars ($9,548 over the last 12 months). At least 1,200 was seemingly caused by poor integration between our new pump, heater, and analog control system. The nail in the coffin was that we reached out over the weekend... Sunday. Yeah I know it was a long weekend. So we waited patiently. It's midday Wednesday. Got no response. Zero. From the Poolie website: "Upon receipt of a response from a Poolie representative concerning your reported issue, you are obligated to reply within twenty-four (24) hours. This prompt communication is intended to facilitate resolution efforts and avoid delays." If only they made the same commitment to the customer. Cancelled our service today. I hope they level up. Because, as it stands right now, I can't recommend anything but cleaning services from them -- we love you Ja'von!
