Terrible do-nothing agent. We got a letter from Farmer's stating that Ruben Herrera's agency was…read morereplacing our former one. I called Ruben to introduce myself (as he didn't reach out to us) and asked him if he could try to lower our rates. He said he thought he might be able to and then never got back to me, so nothing changed. At another point, Farmer's mistakenly canceled our umbrella policy which I discovered months later. I asked Ruben for help in reinstating the policy, preferably retroactively. He said that he would help and that likely, he'd be able to get it retroactively reinstated in a day or two. Nothing ever happened. The last straw was when we got into a car accident. My partner asked Rubin for help in dealing with insurance company (i.e. in terms of what to say to them, etc.). While other agents help their clients with this sort of thing, Ruben's response was that his role is just to sell insurance. We ended up leaving his agency and going with another broker who was much more attentive and helpful.

I came in to renew my father-in-law's registration. The DMV renewal was $171, and I was told there…read morewas a $40 processing fee for doing it here instead of at the DMV. What they didn't tell me is that there would be additional hidden charges I was charged $233 total. When I went back to ask why, they said it was for "paying with card" and because "the DMV charges them to process it." If you're going to charge more than the stated $40 service fee, disclose it upfront so customers can decide if they want to proceed. Had I known, I would have gone to the DMV right next door and saved the extra money. Be aware of the hidden fees before coming here.

Why are they still paper? Not even hard stock paper, flimsy paper. We can't even get a clean rip. If water touches these cards, it's done for. For the extremely high cost of insurance, and the investment y'all put into yalls commercials with Jake, you gotta do better. Paper cards is not the way.
