I have seen plenty of lovely wedding photos, but few that could qualify as art. Weather, lighting, and location are all opportunities to Sam, not obstacles. I have photos of myself standing in bushes, a parking lot, and in front of a drab curtain, and all of them look like scenes from a movie. Just look at his website; you'll see what I mean. Everyone's jaws drop when I show them my photos. (2) Both he and his assistant, Kaylee, are so much fun to work with. They have delightful, fun, mellow personalities. They don't dominate the shoot, boss you around, flake out, or get impatient. They really make the shoot all about you and enjoy every minute of it with you. (3) He will do anything to make you happy. We forgot to get a picture of the wedding bands on me and my husband's fingers, so when he was in the area, he came to my apartment to get the shot. How many photogs will do that? He will respond very promptly to any other requests you may have. I've asked him to Photoshop things out, change the color of ties, etc. (4) He is FAST! I was able to view a gallery of my photos within a week after my wedding. After I chose some prints, he had them shipped to me the very next day. Seriously, it's supernatural! What else do I need to say? If you want a photographer for ANYTHING, wedding or otherwise, give Sam a call! You will not regret it.

My husband and I recently got married at the Liberty Hotel in downtown Boston. It was a gay,…read moreIndo-American wedding, and we wanted to use vendors that'd make us feel comfortable throughout the whole process. It seems that Sam's specialty is non-traditional weddings, and he did an awesome job! We met with him a couple of times before the wedding to go over ideas for poses and pictures and to finalize a timeline. He's professional and polite, but fun and friendly, too. By the end, we felt more like friends than his clients On the day of the wedding, he made sure to get all of the poses on the list and was flexible enough to go with the flow when things just didn't work out like we planned (and let's be honest, things rarely go according to plan). Many, many of our guests mentioned to us afterwards how impressed they were with Sam's work...and that was even before we saw the pictures. We got access to our online gallery about 3 weeks after the wedding, and the pictures are phenomenal, just drop dead gorgeous! He got all of the important shots, but even got close up pictures of all of the decorations, too. His attention to detail is really to be commended. Sam provided excellent customer service, with prompt communication via email. He made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera, and guided us on how to pose. Initially, it felt awkward (mainly because I've never done this before!) but Sam clearly knew how to position us such that the photos looked good yet natural. All the photos that I felt I appeared awkward, actually turned out to be quite beautiful. Sam was always able to capture moments with his photography - this added to the "natural" non-rehearsed feel of the photos. Luckily, he connected us with Chris, who immediately did a call with us the next morning (the day before our wedding). Chris had been given our engagement photos, so he had a sense for our style, and he walked us through the day and the information he needed. Most importantly to us was to have our photographer take charge, and keep our families on task, while paying attention to the details so we didn't have to. To say that Chris did that would be an understatement. He arrived at the hotel even earlier than we asked, and immediately brought positive energy into the space.
