Second time I had to get a root canal done (boo). Last time I had Dr Nanvanti. He was terrific! This time Dr Cho did my root canal. Dr Cho was very kind and made sure I was comfortable during my procedure. He gave me clear aftercare instructions and gave me medicine to help with any pain and/or swelling. He even called me afterwards to see how I was doing. These doctors really care! This office isn't too far from my house and it's very clean. All the staff is very friendly. I went to see Dr. Aneel Belani for a root canal. First off, the nurse reassured me that Dr. Belani was very serious about having the least pain possible for his patients. Sure enough, Dr. Belani very gently took his time in numbing up my gum, he and his nurse were so patient and gentle in making sure that my gum was completely numb before starting to do the procedure. Dr. Belani texted afterwards to make sure everything was fine. I've been in and out of many dentist offices all my life due to my teeth's enamel deficiency, Dr. Belani and his nurses are the best. I hope I don't need to do another root canal, but if I must, I'll go see Dr. Belani. read more

Just when I thought 2021 couldn't get any worse, I became the lucky recipient of 2 root canals in the span of a couple months. If you know root canals, you know they suck.. now imagine two, nearly back to back. To be perfectly honest, it really isn't the procedure itself that bothers me, it's the massive and unexpected dent in my wallet that seems to hurt the most. They are costly, and unfortunately it seems to come with the territory. All in all, I couldn't be happier with my experience at Elite Dental Specialists. I read a couple reviews mentioning high pricing, but truth be told I've never found root canals to be cheap anywhere. Ultimately, you get what you pay for, and if you come here I can assure you that you'll appreciate the quality they provide. The office is clean, beautifully designed, and you'll find yourself surrounded by some of the highest quality technology and dental imaging I've ever seen. On top of that, my procedure includes a follow up appointment in one year so they can check to ensure I'm not having any issues with the root canal. I've never heard of anything like that before, but man I'm impressed. Personally, I ran into a couple issues with insurance and billing, but after a brief phone call I was ABSOLUTELY blown away by the incredible service and understanding nature of the doctor and his staff. Everyone from the front desk, to the dental assistants, to the doctor himself were extremely empathetic. So hats off to all of you - you're absolutely doing this right. read more

Dr Aneel Belani was amazing. I was quite anxious seeing a new endodontist for a root canal, but within minutes I was convinced I had chosen well. After he reviewed my x-rays and consulted with me, he determined that in my case a root canal may not be beneficial in the long run. He could have easily done the root canal but he took various factors into consideration and suggested I opt for extraction. I asked for a referral which he provided. Should I need a root canal in the future, this is the endodontist I will contact . . . without any anticipatory anxiety. read more

I love this team of Dentists! They have always done such a great job for my family and I. First of all, this team of IVY league educated dentists are all very knowledgeable, they use state of the art equipment and they always make sure that the patient is very comfortable. I have a fear of needles, but Dr. Sonia Belani has always made me feel comfortable and calm. I convinced my dad to come to Dr. Sonia Belani for a cleaning about 6 months ago...because of my great experience with her and the team. During his very first exam, Dr. Sonia Belani found a lump in my dad's mouth during his basic oral exam and it ended up being cancerous. Luckily it was found on time and we were able to treat it and he is doing much now. We later found out (through old CT scans that this lump has been sitting in his mouth for over 3 years. My dad see's a dentist every 5-6 months and for some reason no one else found it. It's so important to find a well rounded dentist that will spend time with the patient and conducts thorough oral exams. It's not just about getting your teeth cleaned anymore. I would also like to mention that my appointments are always on time, they are very thorough and spend time with each and every patient! This is huge because i have such a busy schedule and really do not enjoy waiting around, the team understands that my time is also important. Dr. Sonia Belani is IVY league educated and she also teaches at UIC. She is always up to date on the latest information and is very passionate about her work. Most people dislike having dental problems are anxious at best. I have to compliment Dr. Sonia Belani, and her entire staff at Elite Dental Specialists. Dr. Sonia is OUTSTANDING. She takes her time explaining what needs to be done, and checks with you constantly to ensure you understand. She's happy to answer any questions and says no question is unimportant. Aside from her personal professionalism, her staff is top notch. What I appreciated the most about Dr. Sonia is her compassion and gentle touch. They were not helpful with payment plan. They wanted us to pay the full balance in 2 months! We asked for 6 or more and they very reluctantly gave us 4. Wow you're so kind (not)! I bet they have given other patients 6 months or more to pay their balance. Not everyone can afford to pay the balance due in 4 months. And to top it off they Auto withdraw the money from your account. I have no problem paying for service BUT can we have a little care for people who are not made of money! Be kind and give us a more doable payment plan. Shame on you. Not nice at all. read more

He was very thorough with my consult and explained everything to me as it was happening which I appreciate being a need to know person. Two thumbs up for my root canal from Dr. Belani. Despite my memory of prior root canals taking a very long time, the procedure only took about 15 minutes and I got to watch the Property Brothers on HGTV on the ceiling-mounted TV as a nice distraction. Then he provided his cell phone number in case I had any concerns! Dr. Belani called the next day to make sure I was doing fine, and we texted a bit about my questions. I've never had such a great experience getting a root canal. Dr. Aneel Belani's office staff squeezed me in when they found out I was in pain. Dr. Belani wanted me to have as close to a pain-free root canal as possible, and outdid himself - no pain except for the initial numbing shot. He explained everything he was doing during the procedure, and even let me play on my iPhone. Afterwards, he gave me his card and wrote his cell number on the back, saying he wanted me to call him any time if was experiencing pain. Who does that anymore?! I would and will recommend him to anyone needing a root canal. read more

I am a referring dentist in the area. We love, love, love Elite Dental Specialists. We send our patients to their office because they take such good care of them and they see our emergencies right away. Appointment times are minimum, they're in network with all the dental insurances and their work is impeccable ! The doctors really care about their patients and make sure to discuss all cases with our office as well! The office has great communication with our office, sending us post-op letters soon after treatment, and the receptionists are knowledgeable about insurances. I am completely dental phobic so i was less than excited to schedule my root canal, however, I don't think I could have had a better experience. Dr. Gupana was friendly, professional, and FAST. My two separate appointments lasted less than one hour total. Zero pain during or after and my face wasn't overly numbed as it usually is at my regular dentist. Two thumbs up!!! read more

Yesterday I needed an emergency root canal and Dr. Belani got me right in. The actual procedure took only about 10 to 15 minutes. He took the time to explain everything to me. He is very kind and concerned about any pain. He even called me later in the day to see how I was doing. I needed no more than 400 mg of Motrin for the pain.By the next morning I was able to gently chew on the side of the mouth where I had the root canal. This is a fantastic practice that I would highly recommend. I have never met a nicer and more thoughtful dentist. read more

Have had a couple of extractions in the last few months. Both have been preformed by Dr. Angela Wang. She is FANTASTIC!! Truly took her time explaining what was to happen and why. I am a dentalphobic! I have high anxiety when it comes to dental work. I was referred to Elite Dental Specialists by my general dentist when I developed an abscess that had gone up into my sinus. I needed a root canal. I was impressed with the registration process, all computerized, making it very quick. I was seen promptly and put at ease right away. Elite has all the latest bells and whistles, even making x-rays quick and painless. They even have a television on the ceiling if you want it! Dr, Gupana was so gentle that the novocaine didn't even hurt! The first appointment took only 45 minutes and the second was only 40. The last root canal I had by another dentist I must have been in the chair for 2 hours! They offered me a "bite block" which hold your jaw open so you don't have to. Very comfortable. I had no issues returning for that 2nd appointment and wouldn't go anywhere else for an endodontist! read more

I will not be returning to Dr. Sonia Belani or any other staff at Elite Dental in Geneva. Let me say first off she did a great job with my bone graft. She was cheaper than another I was seeing in Wasco so thought I'd try it out. Upon returning to have my implant done, I was taken to the back to get setup. A staffer came in to inform me it has been awhile since my last X-ray, ok, we need to do one, ok that's fine, she says I'll need a $100 dollars now to proceed. Hmm I never pay upfront with my insurance no copay unless it's not covered which I'm informed of ahead of time. This appointment was booked a month ahead of time. Ok $100 here you go. I take the X-ray go back to the chair and they apply a topical numbing agent with a qtip that I need to bite on where they will insert the needle. Again the dental assistant comes in to inform me that before we proceed I need to pay$2000 . I almost choke on the qtip. So I'm numb and they're asking me for $2000 right now. Saying I used my allotted money for specialized dental. I'm like that's not right call my husband. Dr. Belani comes in and tells me the same thing pointing to a paper. So I call my husband from my cell to tell him as I'm drooling he talks to the staffer, confirming with them that they numbed me before telling me about the amount. He tells me "who does that" and wants me to walk out, I do. I get home and I get a phone call from my general dentist , somehow he heard what happened. Says I was covered and apologizes for what happened and will remember this when he refers patients to another specialist which he referred me to Dr. Genutis, I should have listened. I never received an apology from her. I Have excellent insurance which I'm grateful for everyday and allows me to use whomever I want...well they lost my business and I give dentists a lot of business, I blame my genes I have never had this happen to me before, it was uncomfortable, very tacky and very odd asking for money like that when your vulnerable. And if I had owed money why wasn't I told ahead of time like the first time. Hopefully this helps you. read more

Dr. Gupana was by far the BEST dentist I have EVER been too. I'm sort of a baby when it comes to the dentist and he was SO understanding. He just did a root canal for me yesterday and he did EVERYTHING to make me comfortable and made sure I was not in pain or uncomfortable in any way. I know a lot of people always take time to write reviews for bad experiences and never when a great job is done. I have to give credit where credit it due. I became a patient of Dr. Sonia Belani's in her Aurora office in early 2017, on the recommendation of my General Dentist. Her credentials are excellent, and she has proven to be a skilled and compassionate clinician as well. She is very gentle, reassuring, and is a great listener. She put an implant in for me, and did a great job. She has responded to my occasional written communications promptly as well. I had horrible tooth pain and my regular dentist referred me here. I was able to get an appointment immediately for the next morning; which was great because the pain was horrible. I saw Dr. Gupana and he was absolutely awesome! He determined which tooth was causing my pain and immediately began the root canal procedure. I really wasn't concerned about the pain of the procedure since my current pain was so bad that I just wanted the pain to be GONE. But, I can honestly say that I DID NOT FEEL A THING after getting the numbing medicine. In fact, I didn't even feel the needle since a numbing gel was used first! The whole procedure literally took only 20 minutes and when I was done, they had already had all my insurance information handled and knew what portion was my responsibility. Dr. Gupana prescribed me antibiotics, steroids and pain meds. After the numbness wore off later on that day, all my pain had disappeared and I did not even have ANY pain from the procedure. I never had to take any of the pain meds prescribed. I went back a couple of weeks later so Dr. Gupana could stabilize my tooth since it had a crack in it. Again, no pain felt whatsoever and a super quick procedure. I have never been so impressed with a place or Dr. in my life! I have been telling everyone I know about Elite Dental and advising them that if they ever have to get a root canal that they MUST go here. Not only was Dr. Gupana the BEST explaining everything he was doing and asking me often if I was okay, but he also phoned me the next day to check on me and left his cell phone number if I had any problems or questions. The dental techs and front desk staff are all superb! You do not need to look anywhere else if you are looking to get a root canal. Go here! I am telling you that you will NOT be disappointed. I will NEVER go anywhere else for a root canal. THANK YOU to Dr. Gupana and the entire Elite Dental staff for demonstrating the A+ model of how a service provider should be doing things!!! read more

I went in for a root canal. Dr. Belani did the root canal procedure and it was painless. He was very friendly and kept explaining what he was doing on my tooth during the entire procedure. Once the procedure was done, he called me back after 1 week to put the permanent filling in. That also went well except that he never informed me to get a crown put on my tooth. This is the reason, I am giving him 3 stars. I just happened to go see my dentist for a regular cleaning after 1 week when he told me that I need to get a crown put on my tooth else my tooth might crack. I just feel that Dr. Belani might have been in a rush to complete the procedure that he did not even inform me about the crown. What if I had waited for 3 whole months before getting my cleaning done. Also, it has been 2 weeks since my root canal and I am starting to feel some pain again in the same tooth...will talk to my dentist read more
