I really enjoy this park and after visiting twice this weekend, I'm reminded that I should make an effort to visit more often and experience it in every season. This park has extensive walking trails, both paved and unpaved with lots of variety in the elevation which makes for a great workout with inclines and downhills. There are tons of trees but also lots of open space so you can experience the sun and also have plenty of shade. With benches and other built-in seating (retaining walls) throughout the park, there are so many places to take a break, enjoy the sights and sounds of nature or meditate. There is also a play area for the kids as well as picnic areas and a nice wood burning fireplace, and rest rooms nearby. There are also tennis courts and parking is plentiful. On this visit we ventured off to the left of the main trail and did some serious hiking up the hill, which we surprisingly discovered backs up to a nearby neighborhood. It felt like we were truly away in the woods even though civilization is so close by! This park is a true example of why I love Oregon so much. Nature is so accessible and part of the community, not separate or hard to get to. It's magical that you can literally cross the street from your house and be surrounded by beautiful trees and wildlife. read more

Beautiful park and very nicely kept grounds. This park has something for everyone. There's a playground side with covered picnic tables. A little pond area with a small deck. Grassy fields. Tennis court. A water ramp for kayakers/SUP. And then the nature trails! The best part of the park. You can walk next to the river and enjoy all the sights and sounds. Dog-friendly too, make sure they are on leashes tho. During some periods of the year, the park and trails get flooded so you can't walk in some areas but it's still cool to see. read more

We just returned from Rood Bridge, a quick first visit just to check it out. There are tennis courts, picnic areas, a large play ground, open grassy meadows, and lots of trails on which to wander. The trails were a mix of well-kept paved paths, narrower wood-chipped trails, and lesser groomed rocky ones with denser vegetation. We wandered along most of them, and they were very well shaded. Lots of beautiful song birds can be heard and seen along the trails, and we also spotted a couple of rabbits. This is a very nice, peaceful park with lots of options for families and those wanting some exercise. read more

Lovely park that has paths accessible to strollers and wheelchairs. Bathrooms are ADA accessible also and very clean. Dogs must be leashed. Pretty pond and plenty of parking. read more

This is a nice city park- it's not my favorite by any means, but if I lived closer I would probably frequent it. What I like best is the variety of path types- some paved, some wood chips, some dirt/rock aggregate and a couple that go off into the woods a bit. To acknowledge what others have said on here, there is indeed a sewage treatment plant nearby and there is a pipe that goes directly into the river (I imagine treated water, I doubt they are actively dumping sewage into an area where people swim and launch kayaks.) It's not appealing to see the sign saying so, but hey, we do need to treat water even if it seems gross. The more developed part of the park has amenities like a playground and picnic areas, and the "bridge" which honestly isn't very exciting. The park itself though is very clean and the paths were maintained impeccably. Very much a cultivated area- I'm not a huge fan, but hey, I imagine many people quite enjoy this park. read more

Nice park for walking. Some of the trails are under water during the winter so you have to back-track instead of doing a loop. There are a LOT of dog-walkers here, so I assume it's a good place for that. Restroom is open during the winter which I appreciate. The almost constant sound of motors from leaf blowers or something like that was not peaceful, but that might have been just when I happened to visit. I did not notice any unpleasant scents as other reviewers noted (although that may be more of a hot-weather issue). I noticed some large rhododendrons in the woods and look forward to seeing those in bloom. read more

This is a beautiful park, hospitable to walkers, joggers, bikers and dogs alike. There is a paved path through the woods and around a beautiful lily-pad laden pond. There are also a few dirt trail spurs. Parking is easy. They also have tennis courts, a play structure, and clean restrooms near the parking lot. It's fantastically quiet and beautiful. You feel like you are miles away from town. Definitely worth a visit! read more

We went here to ride bikes and it was great. A mix of paved trails and dirt. So much fun and trails led to various neighborhoods to explore. I have been to the park before to take photos before a friends wedding and it's beautiful there snd has some undercover areas and tennis courts too. You can even get to an area to put your kayak or paddle boards in on the river. read more

Used to love coming here, beautiful park, nice walk through the trees. Until I see a 1/2 naked homeless man sleeping out in the open for everyone to see, including children. Couldn't the Parks & Recreation Department do something about this? Just wondering, as a person who uses this park at least twice a week. read more

I don't understand all the great reviews. The park is okay and the kayak launch was nice but a little over crowded. The part that made this visit so bad was the awful stench in the air from the sewage treatment plant nearby. So bad we had to leave after 15 minutes of being there. Disgusting. read more

Rood Bridge and Noble Woods parks are easily my favorite parks in the area. Rood Bridge is great because it has a lot of areas to do different things. There's a large field area where I've seen people dancing, playing, and having group gatherings. There's a wonderful playground area that is always busy with laughing children, a relaxing pond to enjoy, a boat launch into Tualatin River, and a wonderful walking path. We have only come here to walk so far. Our little one is too small for the playground and kayaking has been low on our priority list as well. But I can highly recommend this walk! Just know that the path can flood in the winter, so a loop is not always possible. It's a bit hilly and winds through trees, around the pond, and past the boat launch. It really is a wonderful park. read more

Not recommended for kayaking. The water is shallow and many branches poking out of the water. At one point the water starts to smell and it looks like there's water being pushed up from the bottom and a film around the edges. The park itself is great! I went to this park yesterday for some fresh air during a break in the rain. A lot of the trails were flooded out so it was hard to properly assess how much walking opportunity was provided by Rood Bridge Park. However! The trails that were still intact were delightful, well-paved, winding paths through nice woods. There was also plenty of parking, dog poop bags + trash cans, and lovely open grassy spaces in which one might throw a frisbee or have a picnic. Unfortunately, our hike was marred by intense wafts of manure scents on the wind. There must be a livestock farm nearby so when the wind shifts, the smell is pretty darn noticeable. read more

It is the middle of summer and as we all know that means one thing...birthday parties every weekend! It seems every week my kids have 2 or more parties scheduled. This means lots of presents lots of cake and lots of different locations. First there is the home option, and let's face it, ain't nobody got time for that. Next there are the inside playgrounds. These are a good option. Thirdly there are those Vegas style pizza/amusement park places (Dave's 'not so' Incredible Pizza) these places just give me a headache. Today's party was at a location that I and my kids were quite familiar with it. I gotta say it was HOT! It was about 85° at 4 PM (i checked my phone) but it felt hotter. The hosts had an amazing spread for the kids. Chipotle across the board...chicken, pork, all the extras and chips and taco shells. It was fantastic, but there was a swarm of yellowjackets that thought so too. Luckily they didn't hang around long. The kids ate and then they were let loose with water cannons. Yes, it was a brilliant idea. Luckily I got the heads up on this and brought extra clothes for my little man. The cake was cut and eaten and everyone took off. Well put together party and a very nice location. And took a peaceful walk through the woods to burn off the sugar rush afterwards. read more

This is our regular go-to park, as we live about a minute away. We have been walking our dog here everyday since we got him this summer, and we still haven't used all the trails available yet! This park is huge, beautiful, and really well maintained. There is a tennis court, bathrooms, playground area, and 2 big sheltered areas. I think the 2 clubhouses are also available to rent out. There are signs along some of the large spaces that say they are rehabilitating animals and wildlife in the area - pretty cool. We wish there was an designated fenced off-leash dog area (since the place is so big!), but it's still a great park to go walking! read more

This is a wonderful park to take a walk through, play some frisbee, have a picnic. There are some great walking paths around, goes down to a pond that is fed by a man-made stream that runs through the middle of the park. You can walk down and go over the river in the back of the park. I'm not sure where the trail lead once you cross, but it does go on a way. On one visit, there was a wedding going on, so it looks like there are many different types of events you could do here. The parking lot isn't the biggest, so I guess that would limit the number of people who would use the park at one time. Anyway, it's a nice place that isn't too far out of the way. read more

This park was better than I anticipated. I just moved here from the east side so I was spoiled by Mt. Tabor, Rocky Butte, Powell Butte, etc. and this park was pretty awesome. I liked how there were different terrains, from grass and sidewalk, to meadows, to feeling like you were walking in the middle of the forest. It is very diverse, and definitely designed in a way that gives privacy so you are not surrounded by everyone at the park. read more

Be AWARE!! This is one of the nicest parks in Hillsboro and while we were Kayaking someone broke the rear window of our truck and stole a bag out of our truck. Our truck was parked right in front of the visitor center. In broad daylight! It happened between 10-1. Watch your surrounding. Someone targeted us. The bag was hidden so they knew we stuffed it under the back seat. Luckily, all they got was a fresh washed towel. read more

It's a beautiful park, don't get me wrong. Lots of walking trails and whatnot. Beautiful park, right next to a gun range?? It must of been a gun range because I've never heard so much shooting in my life. I tried to take my dogs walking here and all I could hear is gun shot after gun shot. Non stop. It was ridiculous. My one dog is afraid of loud bangs and she got so stressed from the noise as I was trying to get her back to car she had diarrhea which is not typical of her at all. I didn't feel safe at all and we will not be back. read more

Me and my partner visit her atleast 2 or 3 times in a month. They have ample parking space, walking space, benches to sit and relax and take photos, a small cute garden! But sometimes there is a trail which remains closed due to either construction or weather conditions that is a bummer but apart from that if you want to go for a long drive and small walk this one of the places! read more

Great "Gun Range Free" park. I have no idea what that reviewer was talking about. I've been here many times and never heard a gunshot. I've been here morning afternoon and evenings and nothing. There are neighborhoods around and certainly an option for a homeowner to be using a bebe gun or fire crackers, but there is no gun range. This park is fabulous: walking trails, a playground, big, grassy areas, covered picnic areas, everything you could want in a park. Lovely!

Free parking, large and clean restrooms, multiple playscapes for children, swingsets, pavilions, picnic tables, walking trails, flower gardens. Nothing to dislike about this park. They even had crews walking and driving around constantly, picking up any bits of trash that anyone dropped inadvertently, so it stayed perfectly clean the entire time. I lost track of how long we walked on the beautiful trails; everything was gorgeous. read more

Wonderful park for adults or small children. The play area is fantastic for ages 1-6 or so. Has both a small slide structure perfect for 1-3 year olds, and a larger slides structure that is great for 3-5 or 6 year olds. Unfortunately, when school is out for the summer, parents and every single daycare in town seem bring their older, roughhousing kids here and they make the playground unsafe and overcrowded for the littles. Anyhow, while school keeps older kids away, this playground is delightful for the youngsters! Also, for adults, the many abundant trails and walk paths are amazing and beautiful. Keep in mind, they turn off the lovely streams from August to March to preserve the water in the ponds, so during these months, there will be no beautiful streams going around the park. Ample parking and very well kept/ maintained daily. read more

Too many people. Smells of Hillsboro dump and city sewage, which is right next door. Parking is hard to find, many times people end up parking on the road side and turning around in neighboring driveways, which I hear is frowned upon. read more
