I had the Shepard's pie. The food and the drinks were amazing. The service was fantastic. It was incredibly personable despite the size of our group. All and all I highly recommend visiting over and over. This place is perfect, the atmosphere calm, and relaxing, the service, one of a kind. The Field Irish Pub and Eatery is just one of those staples you can't stay away from for long! So, coming back we'll be!

Even though it is a freestanding restaurant, I am told that it can be difficult to find a spot. The venue offers live music on weekend evenings, but we finished eating before it began and were too tired to stay. The restaurant oozes the Irish pub decor and theme. Our waiter, Jordan, was exceptionally friendly and jovial. And he was a master at suggesting alcoholic beverages, once you let him know your likes. We had 2 orders of Irish potato soup, 2 Shepherd's pies with cheddar cheese, 2 orders of the Guinness beef and mushroom pie, 1 cabbage rolls, and one fish and chips. The soup was filled with bacon bits and creamy and luscious. The Guinness pot pies were a bit small, especially because they were so savory. The accompanying mashed potatoes did not come with gravy and there wasn't enough from the pot pies to cover it. The veggies that came with all the entrees were freshly made and without any seasoning. (But it is better to add salt and pepper than to try and remove it.) The fish was a decent size serving, but again, no real seasoning. Nothing that some salt, pepper, and malt vinegar couldn't rectify. The coating was light and crispy. Our alcoholic beverages (Guinness, wine, and a couple of specialty cocktails) were thirst quenching and satisfying. (I loved my prickly pear margarita.) Dinner for 6, including 2 soups, 6 entrees, 8 drinks, tax, and tip was $300.

I wasn't disappointed! I was stuck between the Watermelon Sugar High and the 954 Problems. The bartender was super nice and told me to go with the 954 since it was tequila Thursday, and it was such a good choice. It was delicious and strong; I was feeling relaxed after just one drink! Plus, on Monday-Thursday between 5-7, you get a free hot dog with a drink! Amazing! They also have a lot of other fun deals, like rolling dice to determine your discount, and a discount card for locals during the summer. Other bonuses: parking is free, and because it's a little more hidden, it's less insane and not a ton of tourists.

Everything about it online looked like a nice enough local bar, but the stars on reviews seemed a little high for that. We grabbed a parking spot in the alley and walked in the back alley. For starters, it had a pretty cool neon sign that I'm sure everyone feels the need to take a quick pic with. We then walked in to the bar and sure enough it was towny bar, but all cleaned up. It had blond woodwork with modern industrial touches. It had been raining hard which mighta kept people at home. We kinda had the place to ourselves. It was a quick visit, but we came back after the show too. Great spot to stop into.

If you don't want to go all the way to South Beach, but you are looking for somewhere for a smaller 10 or less group to go out and party like rock stars, Passions should certainly be on your list. I've been with groups much larger, but for bottle service the couches are small. I've been to functions with 50 people as well, and with a reservation you can have a VIP section so everyone is in one room with several couches. (I mention couches because after hours of dancing my feet hurt pretty bad and somewhere to sit, without leaving the party is important to me. Walk right to the left side of the rope in front of the line. Talk to the bouncer who looks up your name, puts a bracelet in your wrist and opens the rope for you. With the bracelet you can go almost anywhere in the club. Upstairs in the VIP bottle section you need a different wrist band. If you have ordered bottle service, then you will get your own white couch space with a separate bouncer which keeps others away from your party. The scene directly upstairs that overlooks the main room is not that different, but way less crowded. The second VIP room is much smaller, but you get drinks quicker and the jello shot girls are there ghetto most. I also think that the party gets much more wild in this room. Downstairs there is a room that plays Spanish and regaeton- but as stated in a previous review, that room gets over packed either people and when someone elbows you or stops on your foot in stillettos the party is over for you, so I stay clear of this room.
