It was a crazy, chaotic, fun place. I was here Sunday for the St. Patrick's Day Parade and this place was hot. It was one of the most popular bars around the area in my opinion. The crowd is great and most locals are loyal to the place. The bar was crazy. I got an Irish coffee and it took time to order it. The coffee was 16$.... ouch! The bar was understaffed. It also had no internet!! That meant I could not use my credit card. A little scary after ordering things with no cash on me. I was told to come back later to pay. I met my friends outside and ordered chicken fingers. It seems they use a different system outside where the internet was working. I paid for the meal but the bar bill could not be added. The front patio had several big wooden beer barrel tables with umbrellas for shade to chat with friends and drink. A dark interior with a massive wooden bar with sports decor on the walls. Amazing. I wasn't expecting this. Let's start with the staff. This is a group of people that are either the most talented actors in the world or they all love working here and each others company. The esprit de corps is palpable, Ollie the bartender lead the way. The food is awesome, they even have a doggy menu! We had potato soup, very good (a touch salty but I never use salt so that is probably me) and chicken dish, (right above beer tips on the menu), excellent. That dish came with house made biscuits. I will drop the ultimate complement (I have never dropped this before) they reminded me of my grandfathers biscuits and let me tell you that old could back. Located in a nice little area, parking is questionable at best though. Nice, classic pub style with interesting decor. Well lit and very comfortable. One complaint...why, oh why, does the entertainment (soccer today) have to be so loud? Even the soccer hooligans were complaining about the volume. We ordered two beers on tap, Mickey's of course, they were perfect temperature wise, and it did not take very long at all for us to get our drinks. We started out with the Shepherd pie empanadas. The pastry on the pies was perfect .Light, flakey, held together nicely and the filling delivered on every level. The burger... well the patty was thicker than I would've liked but the quality of the meat was top notch. All of layers of this burger were fresh, proportioned perfectly and accentuated every bite. Just the right portion of fries, which were also quite enjoyable. Other than the excessively loud entertainment, the service was excellent. Our server was helpful and very polite. We even had an opportunity to speak to one of the cooks from the kitchen, and they are the ones that suggested the burger that we ordered. Very busy for Mardi Gras so that could have changed the food quality possible? I was super excited to give the place a try since usually Irish restaurants have great corned beef. Rueben was terrible with no flavor, the corned beef is very thickly cut, the bread was hardly toasted if at all and the kraut was not proportioned right. Possibly the worst Reuben I've ever had. First time ordering from this restaurant. Worst experience ever! I was excited to find a restaurant with Fish and chips. Order delivery, the Fish was soggy, and I do mean soggy!! The fries were just as bad. There was one small piece of fish, the batter made it look like a normal portion, however it was just little pieces. The batter was thick and wet. I order a side order of French fries because I like the skinny fries better than the steak fries. Those were just as soggy . Apparently,, they don't care what gets sent out to customers. Seems like the good reviews are from people who have been drinking beforehand and at that point anything appears good. NEVER AGAIN!!!!! Where do I even begin. I walk in and there's 3 people at the bar. The bartender sees me, doesn't acknowledge me and keeps talking to a coworker. I sit down and wait for her to come over and give me a menu. I placed my order for corned beef and cabbage and a patron with a splash of sour mix. I waited 10 minutes and no drink. She's talking to her coworkers. I flag down another bartender and told him I'm pretty sure she forgot to make my drink. 30 minutes have past since I placed my food order and I had to ask her if it was ready, as I expected it was. What a terrible meal. You need a steak knife to cut the corned beef, I'm pretty sure I ate mashed potatoes from a box and the cabbage was insipid. I was starving so I threw some salt and pepper on it and endured this terrible dish. I ask for my bill. Hilariously I was charged for my patron yes, but then charged an extra 3 dollars for making it a margarita when I asked for a SPLASH of sour mix. You gotta be joking. I decided to try this pub after seeing a TikTok video showcasing their vegan mac & cheese. It looked so creamy and cheesy, I just had to give it a shot. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected. When I walked in, I noticed an unpleasant smell right away. Honestly, I should have trusted my instincts and left, but I had already placed my order over the phone, so I stayed optimistic. Big mistake. I ordered the vegan mac & cheese and the vegan shepherd's pie. The wait for my food felt long, and when I finally got it, everything was cold. The shepherd's pie was still *frozen* in the middle, watery, and absolutely disgusting. As for the mac & cheese, it was far from the creamy, cheesy dish I'd seen online--it was watery, lacked any flavor, and had a weird aftertaste. One bite was enough to make me feel sick. I ended up throwing everything away. When I asked for a refund, they refused to give me one. The bartender seemed skilled at making drinks for the (very few) people inside, so maybe this spot is better for drinks, but I wouldn't recommend eating here. On top of the food issues, the smell in the place was overwhelming and made the atmosphere really unpleasant. If you do come, sit outside--trust me. Okay, this is all I need to say about this spot: Food- spot on Service- better than the food (and the food was spot on, so you know the service was so great). We are outside furthest from people (also one of the only open tables), and we initially had Eddie as our server. He started out with the jokes, and did not lose momentum the entire time we were there- it was literally like Dinner & a Show with Eddie as the host. He was hilarious! He got our drinks, and they were divine (I even ordered a margarita, and he made it happen at an Irish pub- haha!). Then the female server came over (I don't know her name- I only know Eddie's name because of the receipt), and was also SO hilarious and down to earth. She took our food order and was literally in my food thoughts to a T. The two of them eventually came over together, and it was just the golden hour. They were SO fun and funny together. The only Irish pub in the downtown Hollywood area, Mickey Byrne's is the place to go for watching soccer and a plate of bangers and mash. The interior is dark, wood, and covered in soccer memorabilia, just how I like my Irish pubs! We always order the shepherds pie empanadas, a creative mash up. The other food we've had is nothing to write home about, but it is good, with hearty portions and fair prices. Outside, the service lacks. I have more than once sat with an empty beer on a hot day, eyes peeled for a server so I can order another one. Also, they are always out of Guinness blonde. I'm not sure if it's a supply chain issue or they just aren't ordering it anymore. However, considering guests have to walk inside to look at the chalkboard beer menu (no paper or online version available), it doesn't seem like too much to ask to keep the chalkboard up to date. read more

Every time i go its usually ok, i try not to eat there when possible. They have lots of TVs to watch the various games they had on. I'd say at 10 beer taps on the bar and lots of canned option as well I ordered a round of wings and they were delicious. Nicely cooked and the Buffalo side with a side of ranch hit the spot. I'm a huge fan of poutine so naturally we had to get the tater tot poutine and it was delicious. Tots were crispy and the gravy was tasty. I would get both again when I come back. The bartender was very attentive and gave us great service which is nice to see as I don't normally get great service like that living in Miami. Friend and I visited Hollywood for two weeks in January. Mickey Byrne's is some craic if you're fun outgoing women like we are. The owner, Mark, has a crew of Irish lads who hang out there watching Irish sports teams so it's quite a lively atmosphere when the games are on the telly. Guinness and Harp on tap kept us coming back as well as Mark's ability to take a slagging. Eddie, Chris & Rachel were lovely. Great fun to be had at Mickey Byrne's. read more

This is a great Irish pub to kick back and watch the games. Whenever I come here I always get the Buffalo garlic parmesan wings and a side of fries (not pictured because I get too excited whenever I see it and forgot to take a picture). I did also get the Irish onion soup and creamy potato which were both very delicious. Will order those two again. They have a rotating menu of draft beers which is a nice plus as well. Found this place on our nightly stroll with our doggo in downtown Hollywood. We were in the mood for a beer so why not a Irish pub/restaurant. We built up and appetite so we also decided to order food... I wasn't entirely impressed when the food came. Chicken wings were crispy and flavorful but they were covered with garlic powder rather than actual garlic (ordered the honey bbq garlic) --that was ok. My girlfriends burger was dry with no ketchup/mayo/mustard on it, beside lettuce tomato and onions. She also ordered it medium and it was way past well done. The straw that broke the camels back was the "Curry Fries". I had two bites and set it aside. Long story short, the fries were soggy and the curry was watered down covered by parsley. I politely asked the server to send it back and remove it from the check. All in all, This place wasn't all too bad, service was really good and atmosphere too. The food just wasn't impressive. Went for a walk with my dog and came across the pub and decided to eat here because they had outdoor seating. When the menu was presented it was to my surprise they had a doggie menu I was so happy that my dog got to participate in a meal. I ordered him the dog bowl with beef. He loved it! The humans ordered the potato soup and the soup of the day which was lasagna soup and it was delicious, the Shepards píe empanadas were great. We also ordered the mussels if you like mussels this is a must try soak the bread in the juice, trust me. For the main course we ordered The bangers and mash which were cooked well but were not my favorite. The Shepards pie was better. Over all it was a good experience and would recommend this place especially if you're out with a pup he really loved it!
