This is what you could expect from a locals kind of bar. The drinks are cheap and you can smoke in there. We live within walking distance so we are here quite a bit. The bartenders, Maggie and Cajun, are very personable and know our order. We even get the channel changed because Cajun knows we love Impractical Jokers. Everyone is social in there for the most part.

I had the Shepard's pie. The food and the drinks were amazing. The service was fantastic. It was incredibly personable despite the size of our group. All and all I highly recommend visiting over and over. This place is perfect, the atmosphere calm, and relaxing, the service, one of a kind. Even though it is a freestanding restaurant, I am told that it can be difficult to find a spot. The venue offers live music on weekend evenings, but we finished eating before it began and were too tired to stay. The restaurant oozes the Irish pub decor and theme. Our waiter, Jordan, was exceptionally friendly and jovial. And he was a master at suggesting alcoholic beverages, once you let him know your likes. We had 2 orders of Irish potato soup, 2 Shepherd's pies with cheddar cheese, 2 orders of the Guinness beef and mushroom pie, 1 cabbage rolls, and one fish and chips. The soup was filled with bacon bits and creamy and luscious. The Guinness pot pies were a bit small, especially because they were so savory. The accompanying mashed potatoes did not come with gravy and there wasn't enough from the pot pies to cover it. The veggies that came with all the entrees were freshly made and without any seasoning. (But it is better to add salt and pepper than to try and remove it.) The fish was a decent size serving, but again, no real seasoning. Nothing that some salt, pepper, and malt vinegar couldn't rectify. The coating was light and crispy. Our alcoholic beverages (Guinness, wine, and a couple of specialty cocktails) were thirst quenching and satisfying. (I loved my prickly pear margarita.) Dinner for 6, including 2 soups, 6 entrees, 8 drinks, tax, and tip was $300.

First, multiple areas both inside and outside to enjoy yourself. The food is incredible!!! First, the wings are hands-down the best I had outside of update New York. Second the burgers are the perfect match to the ice cold beers. Their pizza is a contender to what I ember from Philly. But the "Dark Horse" is the fried fish sandwich! It's hard to call it a sandwich when the fish filet is SO big you have to eat half of the fish to be able to start to see the bun. It's perfectly made and NOT some crap frozen square fish filet. Always take an entire sandwich home because it takes you that long to even be able to assemble it as a sandwich. As for service, well that goes without saying. It's what you would expect from a local bar. Friendly service. Bartenders who remember you and your drink. LOTS of return customers. Just try to get a seat during football season tells you all you need to know about this place. It's my go-to bar and restaurant

When we first pulled up, the parking lot was nearly empty, and inside there were only a few people scattered around. My companion went straight to the restroom, so I found a seat at the bar. The first thing we were told was that the kitchen was already closed even though it was only 9 PM which was a bit disappointing since I was hungry. Since it's an Irish pub, they mainly serve beer and wine, so I ordered a Guinness followed by a light beer. Despite the slow start, the night turned out to be unexpectedly enjoyable. We ended up meeting some wonderful people from Italy, Poland, and Turkey. It was especially nice connecting with the gentleman from Turkey, as I had traveled there last year, and we had a great conversation about that experience. The same went for the gentleman from Italy. It was refreshing and easy to talk to everyone. Even after closing, we stayed outside for a while continuing our conversations. The atmosphere inside the pub had a classic Irish feel, very reminiscent of my time in Ireland years ago, with signed celebrity photos decorating the walls adding to its charm. Also money from various countries. The lady behind the bar was extremely friendly and attentive throughout the night, constantly checking in and making sure we were taken care of. It's been years since I last visited, but after this experience, I'll definitely be going back soon.

The place has live music on Saturdays and is dive bar-ish.  But I can't really describe it as a dive bar because there is no smoking, the bar food is super fresh and delicious and there is craft beer. The theme here is South African and American.  They have some South African food on the menu and South African beer and wine.  I tried one of the South African beers, it was light and some sherry which tasted wonderful. The food is fresh.  I ordered wings extra crispy and they actually got them right... Winning!  Also ordered the fried okra which was super fresh, not too salty like other places, and by far the best fried okra that I have ever had.  It was absolutely phenomenal. Going to try to return again this next weekend to mingle with the regulars.  Hope we get along, because I would really love to make The Angry Warthog a habit.
