After a bad experience with The Colony location we came to the Frisco location. Our salesman was Daniel at Frisco. Look for him when you want a honest salesman that tells you everything upfront like the 48 hour rule. Unlike The Colony location whom lied about splitting commission because our original salesman was not there the day we returned and wanted him to get credit for the sale. We were not told about the 48 hour rule as well. We asked if we could change our minds without penalty and Brian Torres said yes which was another lie. The Colony store then said we can give a credit and not return our money so we spent it at the Frisco location and brought more items. We went in on Saturday looking to purchase a set of chairs and a buffet. We weren't 100% sold on the chairs so we had the sales associate help us with finding them online in case we ended up wanting to purchase. He showed us which chairs to get and we actually ended up on getting them within the next few hours. We decided on pickup to avoid an $89 delivery fee (had to find a truck to pick them up as we don't own one). When we brought the chairs home, they were the wrong ones. We now have chairs that are the wrong color (the sales associate told us the incorrect color to order- apparently the chair we saw in store isn't available until 5/24) we now have to find another truck to deliver the items back to the distribution center (45 min drive from my house) or pay $89 for your team to come pick it up. This is completely unacceptable and I will be telling ANYONE I know to avoid shopping at rooms to go and especially this location. read more

I have entered a Rooms to Go store once in my life, and that was 10 years ago! The $5,758.76 I spent on my first and only purchase from RTG was on November 22, 2024. Let me start at the end and then if you are interested, you can read why I came to my recommendation that you go somewhere else to shop. There are much better values out there than RTG. I base my conclusion on the fact that they must use high pressure commissioned sales staff to sell the really profitable add-ons like extra warranties and delivery upcharges. I ordered on-line expecting to waive a salesperson's commission but as it turned out, a salesperson from a store 440 miles from my home called me, his name was Muhammed Hussain, in Frisco, Texas. So much for on-line ordering. The way it is set up is as a sales referral portal, not true on-line ordering. This guy was telling me how the $500.89 "RTG free delivery" charge was because the furniture came out of Houston, he was saying what a good deal that was to hire 2 people to just come to Del Rio for delivery. Then he spent an inordinate amount of time trying to sell the extended care warranty (I didn't buy). Since I'm talking to a real live person I ask for a better price since I was buying multiple items and paying in advance, all to be delivered at once. He told me that this furniture was well made in the United States. He did not offer me any discount on the furniture, it was beyond his control. BTW, I later learned that my upholstered furniture was made in China. Now, here's what happened after the sale (which I paid up front when ordering!); I was told that the two ottomans were out of stock and I would wait two months to get them, I accepted this reluctantly. So, now, remember, I ordered and paid on the 22nd of November. My $500.89 delivery charged order was not going to be delivered until the 16th of December! So much for two people in a truck bringing a "hot shot" to Del Rio. As it turns out, two guys did deliver it, they were from San Antonio, 150 miles from my home in Del Rio. They had four OTHER deliveries to my neighbors here in Del Rio as well, they told me. That said, I had gotten a phone call from someone from RTG the previous Friday to tell me that the coffee and end tables I ordered and paid for were not in stock and would not be with the 16th delivery. Then I was told by that same person they would bring them on Friday, four days after my Sofas were supposed to be arriving on Monday. I said if that was the case, then it was okay to deliver the Sofas. When Friday came, no one showed up! So I called the salesperson in Frisco, Hussain, and he checked and said that they should not have told me that. The next delivery would not be until the 13th of January, 2025, I should wait until then! Well, that was a problem because I had already emptied my living room and now I was missing furniture that I was told I would have. I told Hussain that this wasn't our deal, that I was not given a chance to cancel the order and I would expect them to compensate me for the miscommunication on their end. He said he would talk to the manager, Jeremiah (by the way, I just called the Frisco location to ask for Jeremiah's last name and Deidra told me she was not allowed to give me his last name) and in the background I could hear Jerimiah talking to Hussain. Hussain was told to tell me to wait until I got my entire order and then to call him back, he said the store manager would "take care of me". I asked him what compensation he was talking about, what amount, and Hussain assured me they would take care of it. So, I finally got all my stuff, January 17th and called Hussain back (three times) and he said he would talk with Jeremiah. Two days later I got an email from Jeremiah offering me a $50 Store Credit, store credit! I replied that I expected something a little more in line with the delayed delivery, the amount of the order and the miscommunication. Jeremiah never responded. I called Hussain again and told him this was not acceptable and suggested a better offer. I sent him a text outlining what I thought was fair, concerning the circumstances. He said he would talk with Jerimiah. Hussain nor Jerimiah contacted me. I contacted the RTG Customer Service the 29th of January via email, with attachments, and Morgane Hinde from CS asked for more information. Here was my answer to her; What?????? I attached a document with 7 pages. I have attached them again to this email. This whole problem is that RTG has a disconnect from its customers. Processes that you built into a system that works for RTG, not necessarily for the customer. I feel like I've been steamrolled over. I'd ask Frisco why they won't call me back; they work for you! I had a mixed experience, but the end result was good. We needed a new couch and my wife found a nice one at RTG. We talked with a salesman who was very nice. We came back the next week and bought the couch. I was talking to the salesman about the price and it went from being on sale at $2,495 to $3,144. Obviously, I know that there is a delivery fee and taxes, but it didn't seem right. It is a 3 piece sectional sofa and there was a $87.79 delivery fee for EACH piece! From what I know, this is standard practice, but it still hurts. But, there was an additional $300+ charge for an extended warranty (it had a different name, I think it was called an "extended service") that they slipped in without asking us. There is a 7 day (I think 7) return policy if something is wrong with the couch upon delivery, but this was something else. This extended service charge was for a 2 year cleaning service. I didn't want this and it was very "shocking" when I told him that. He got his supervisor and then she gave me a sales pitch about the extended service, because they wanted me to understand what it was all about. They told me that 90% of their customers get the service and then told me about how I was going to mess up the couch and that I needed the service. I told them "no" again and that was the end of it. I paid for the couch and set a date for delivery. The guys who delivered the couch were GREAT! They were early and very professional and that part of the experience was smooth and hassle free. I understand that they are trying to make a commission, but it was underhanded to sneak in the extra "service" without asking and then giving me a hard time when I didn't want it. Don't be tempted to buy anything here. Very high delivery fees for delivery and setup. Then they send damaged furniture out, and you're left dealing with trying to exchange it. The bed frame hardware was missing from our order, and my husband had to find a replacement and set it up himself. When I complained about this and that the fee I paid was supposed to be for setup, which they did not do, they offered me a $25 in-store credit. So basically a coupon in compensation. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HERE! If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I made an internet purchase of a bedframe that didn't advertise that a box spring is required. We got the bed frame and there's only 3 beams to support our new bed which would lead to damage from sinking over time so I had to buy a box spring which cost additional due to the lack of clarity. I spoke to two very rude reps who argued with me every point including their unclear description saying "if required" meaning the same as required which does not mean the same. I recently went to this Rooms to Go twice in search of new furniture for our living room. I couldn't decide between a sofa and loveseat, or a sectional. On my first visit, I was approached by Mayowa Samuel, he asked about my needs and helped me narrow down my options, I had tons of questions for him and he was able to answer everything. He was very friendly and also gave me time to look around on my own, he was not pushy or overwhelming. It felt good to actually look around without being pressured to buy on the spot. The day comes and I never got my order, I work facing the window and was there all day and never seen a truck arrive but not only that, they stated they called and couldn't get ahold of me. We purchased a matching set of leather upholstered recliner, reclining sofa, and loveseat -- a purchase of more than $3,000. We're satisfied with the quality of the furniture so far, but we were really put out by the pressure put on us to buy an extended warranty. Bought a large picture for my wife and I anniversary. They delivered and when we took the cardboard off that's supposed to protect it the movers obviously dropped it and put on to cover it up hoping we wouldn't notice it! Don't buy here. I told our otherwise pleasant salesman (Miguel Pimentel at #2106) that the reason we were considering RTG over an online company was because RTG hauls away old mattresses. Also told him we were replacing because our mattress was 15 years old and garbage. Found out AFTER DELIVERY that old mattresses have to be pristine for hauling away. I am really disappointed in the RTG service and products. First: I bought a Lawson Landing sofa, loveseat, and ottoman. I weigh 100 pounds. After sitting for the first time on the sofa I have left permanent indentations on the seat and back. Cheap foam. Second: Three Southdale bar stools were delivered UPS. All three backs were nicked and gouged and a screw hole on the base is defective. I had to send email to "Special orders" and haven't received a reply. I have no idea what is going to be done about this. Third: I received 6 Loft Side grey side chairs for my dinning table. The salesman told me the iron was black, it is not, it's brown. The fabric is not grey it's tan. My color scheme has been ruined. Then RTG scheduled too many deliveries for the day and the truck arrived at 9:10 pm. My delivery window was from 3-7 pm. Calling the store is impossible to get thru. I advise shopping elsewhere. I will say furniture shopping is discouraging. Nothing is in stock and most pieces come UPS and needs assembly. My expensive nightmare. 9 months after I purchased an expensive (for rooms to go) sectional and the extended protection plan, one of the powered recliners stopped working. I requested service (10/19/21) for this and a few days later found out it would be about three weeks for a technician to come out. The "technician" arrived on 11/8/21, pushed the control buttons and said it was the motor and he would need to order it. He did not leave any paperwork. On 11/16/21 I replied to their customer service email asking for an update. Their response: "Thank you for contacting Rooms To Go! We are truly sorry to hear of this situation. After reviewing your order our records do indicate that a new motor is needed to repair your recliner. The motor was ordered on 11/15 and will ship directly to you; if in stock it will ship out within 3-5 business days, however if it is not in stock it may take 90-120 days to ship from the vendor. Once you receive it please reach out to us and we'll be happy to schedule your service appointment to have it installed! Please let us know if you have any further questions" So it took them a week to order the part and I may have to wait 120 days. As of 12/2/21 the part has still not shipped. They will not replace the effected piece of sectional so we have to wait with a half-reclined piece. No surprise they are not a BBB accredited business with a 1.16 out of 5. Avoid this company. We purchased a set of RTG furniture in 2017, Loved the look but within 6 months the cushions were sagging terribly. Since we were under warranty we asked for another sofa to replace. They claimed it was regular wear and another of the same sofa would do the same thing. They told us to pick another sofa set and we could pay the difference if there was one. There wasn't really anything else we wanted - but we found one that was tolerable. It looked like leather (was not - but sales person said it would wear as well as leather AND that we should get the warranty to protect ourselves) We decided to bring the Sofia V. modern light grey sectional home took some solace in the fact that it would be easy to clean. Before the financing time period was over the "faux leather" was peeling off on every piece of the furniture. Very frustrating - after I took photos and sent to RTG they said that our warranty wasn't for cracking or peeling. We will never buy from this place again. As another reviewer noted, the map is displaying incorrectly for this location. It's actually at SH 121 and Parkwood; the map seems to think it's way away from there. At any rate, this store is big. They have a lot of furniture. Their quality seems to tend better than, say, Roomstore, but the prices are a bit higher as well. This location is in a pretty competitive area, with Ashley, IKEA, and Haverty's nearby, as well as some specialty retailers like Cost Plus, Zuri and the Amish Furniture Showcase. But I digress; RtG has a tremendous amount of merchandise on display, with prices clearly marked as well as popular options pricing (leather instead of cloth or the reverse). Three weeks ago, we went to RTG to get two rooms of furniture. We needed a bedroom set for my parents who were coming for graduation, and we needed a new set for our living room. Everything was delivered and put together with no problems. The delivery guys were fine and everything seemed great. Until we started actually USING the living room furniture. It was HORRIBLE. It exacerbated the pinched nerve in my neck and soft tissue issues in my hip and back. We couldn't do anything about it until graduation had concluded but as soon as we were able, we went back to RTG to get them to take it back. Little did we know there was a NO RETURN POLICY. I have never, ever been somewhere where there was not a return policy. I mean, I can't even SIT on this furniture, so why would I keep it? After a huge debate with their office people, the best we could do is get a NEW furniture set (which actually INCREASED the amount of money we ended up spending there) and now have to wait a week and a half for it to be delivered. And I was told that by "allowing" us to "return the furniture" and "get a new set greater than or equal to the cost of the first set" they were being generous. Yeah, generous. I had to spend frickin' $800 MORE and I'm certain I'll STILL be stuck with crappy furniture. Oh, and if this furniture is just as bad as the first, I will NOT be allowed to return it for a different set. I guarantee this furniture will be just as bad as the stuff I'm "returning".
