Extremely upset. I know furniture is sold as is. But I inspected our couch before purchasing. On load up day we had a trailer and a truck. The man bringing the sectional out to us did not say 1 word. He was very quiet. That made me nervous... he was loading up on a wooden dolly that had nails on it. I didn't think to check it out... because I figured they are professional and would take care of my couch.... but wrong. We got it home.. and see the corner piece where the sectional meets is torn. I am highly upset. This is my first ever couch that I purchased and it has a tear!!!!! A tear I did not do. I am thinking back on it now and he had the couch rested on it's side when bringing it on the dolly. When purchasing the sales rep , Mr. Damon said they would help us load and wrap the couch... but nothing was done except bringing it to the loading area on a wooden dolly.... Very disappointed and I probably won't ever shop at rooms to go again. We received our dining table with a Chipped column, and all of the chairs had cotton/fabric exposed. One chair had a stained black mark. This table cost $1500 after delivery & taxes. The table was replaced within a week. New column & chair looks great. We also had a $200 floor lamp delivered. The lamp had rust on the base & stained marks throughout the rest of the lamp. I now have to get a replacement for the lamp. We also purchased a sofa from RTG in September of 2023. Last month we finally moved the sofa from where it was originally placed & noticed the fabric under the sofa had been sliced with a box cutter when it was delivered. Everything we've purchased is really nice but I question the quality of RTG Products. Today on 5/6/2024 @8am i called and spoke to a customer service rep expressing my concern for yet another delivery when an item I'm unsatisfied with. Tanya was very rude & sarcastic. Let me tell you just how good the furniture is from this place. Because of Chinese drywall, I removed back into my home in 2010. I brought a tv stand and chest for my bedroom. Here we are in 2023 and I finally let it go. And the only reason I did was because one it was too heavy to move downstairs, and two my new construction so I am going for the rustic affect. This pass Saturday, I went to get a living room set and Chase was so amazing. From the moment I entered the store he was such a breath of fresh air. For me buying furniture is very stressful. And I love the fact that he didn't harass me or follow me around the store. He gave me space and as much time as I needed to make my decision on what I wanted. When we arrived we were greeted by a sales person who chatted to us and in all honesty I felt super psyched and positive about the place up until I walked further and noticed that most , practically all the pieces had a sold sign attached to it. Seriously? Like what was for sale? Anyway I saw maybe one leather sofa that was not for sale but I wasn't in the market for leather. It was a real waste of time going there. They lied to me upon purchasing the couch, which resulted in a two month delay in delivery and many harassing phone calls from them. One star doesn't even begin to share my disdain for the experience I had shopping with rooms to go. I will say the employees are nice, but it stops there. Everything that could have gone wrong with my order went absolutely wrong. I was told the item I bought came with the mattress, at delivery, no mattress. Then I was told mattress was sold separately, but they kindly gave it to me for free. But then the item was missing parts and had wrong size bolts and screws and the kind delivery and assembly people let me know they couldn't build it. That's okay, just send me the correct stuff in the mail. Got sent parts overnight. Those were the wrong parts, okay.... just let me return the item because I'm tired of back and forth store/customer service calls and being on hold for hours between each call. They kindly let me return it. That was LAST YEAR. I was told I'd get a check in the mail because they couldn't put it back on my card, and to expect the check in a couple of weeks. Well it's been about four months now? I call customer service, call drops/ gets disconnected after a 50 minute wait. Show up at the store, get VERY KIND AND QUICK SERVICE the people here are very sweet, but find out that the request for my return was there, but nothing was ever done with it, no one who oversees this issue ever issued a check or did anything about it. They're going to email someone or other to see what happened for me and I'll be waiting on a call for the next few days to see what happened. Again, the people here are amazing, the delivery people were sweet, but I hope whoever packaged the box and did a quality check in the warehouse, and whoever had to handle the refund at the company are cursed with missing parts for things they buy for the rest of their lives haha. read more

I walk in and get asked if I can be helped, I said "just looking" because I had no idea what this place had (no other type of greeting, no qualifying of the customer, etc). So I browse around trying to find anything worth actually buying and taking pictures with my phone to figure out what would match my house's layout. I'm there maybe 7 minutes and the dickwad "general manager" belligerently accuses me of, "shopping for competitors". I'm assuming the only other competition this place has is Goodwill because they offer no delivery and all the furniture is damaged, repoed, or discontinued items from the manufacturer (his words). I think I actually have to give them one star for this. It's not for the mattress I bought which seems ok so far but it's how they lie. I got my bed , mattress only, for a decent price but then I was told if I didn't buy the two protective covers I'd have to deal with the manufacturer if I had problems so I got them for $120! These things might be worth half of that normally. Ok so I let them hit me for that too. So I go back and pay for it and I'm kind of in a rush which is my bad. Well written on the receipt is ALL SALES FINAL AS IS NO RETURNS Basically I was told to buy these two covers based on the lie that they would take the bed back up to 5 years but they won't take anything back including the covers. So be aware of their tactics to upsell you and in fact you can probably talk them down on the price being that this is a clearance center. This of course is not indicated anywhere on the building. It looks like any normal RTG store. So far the bed itself seems ok but , albeit ultimately my fault, I got kinda played They DO NOT EXCEPT RETURNS!!! Keep that in mind before you buy anything from them which your salesperson is obviously not going to tell you. Takes forever to process your order and take possession of merchandise. Took us 10 minutes to find a rug we liked and 50 minutes to pay, receive and load. Rug was off the shelf and we hand carried to the salesman. Salesman gives the rug to the manager, manager loads information and price into the system. Then the Salesman has to go to another computer to load additional information into the computer (address etc). Then you have to go to another counter to pay (no problem there), then you have to go to another counter (security) to show the same information you did when you paid for it. Then eventually you get the rug. Too many steps to put a customer through. It was like buying a car. Not acceptable. Rooms To Go Management - your system needs improvement. There is no reason one should have to endure some many steps to check out. Will not shop here again. read more

Quick example....bought a couch, 30 days later, couch is slumping on the ground. Wooden support was cracked down the middle and clearly had been patched up to before being sold to me. I called to speak to the sales manager to complain, she had suggested I was at fault for not using the couch correctly. When I called the store to speak to a Manager he refused to talk to me for being a woman and stated he would only speak to a man, regardless that the receipt of the purchase was under my name. We needed a sleeper sofa and were near Rooms To Go. Decided to stop by and check it out. The place was a little messy but they had some good sales going on. Our sales guy was nice and wasn't pushy at all. He showed us a nice looking sleeper sofa for $699.00 on sale. I was like "eehh, if it was $599,.00 I'd do it, but not $699.00". He didn't say much and left us alone. A few minutes later he came back and said" Hey guys, I made a mistake, the sale price is actually $599..00" SOLD! We had to pay an extra $100.00 delivery fee to get it to our house Uptown. The salesman did say "All sales are final guys." Sure that's fine.. The sofa was delivered a week later. We were in a hurry checked to make sure it wasn't damaged but failed to open the bed out. Two weeks pass and we finally are ready to use it. We tried to pull the mattress out and take the plastic off of it but it stuck. I thought maybe something had caught so before pulling any harder I looked at the mechanism. The left side of the mechanism was completely bent like someone had forced it. We called and were told "Sorry, all sales final. Look at your receipt. It says that in bold letters." I cannot remember the name of my salesperson, but he had recently moved from up north. I was looking for a sectional for my living room which had odd dimensions. The salesman found a measuring tape, helped me measure a sectional I liked, and showed me all the features of the sectional. I had a few questions, and instead of lying to me because he didn't know the answer (which I've experienced at other rooms to go stores), he went and found out the answers for me. Before I purchased, he made sure both electric recliners worked and asked me to look around for any damages (and showed me where there was a scratch which was why this leather sectional was discounted). I found two other minor scratches, and he asked his supervisor if they could discount it more. He did discount it more, and also fought for me to get an area rug too. I wish I could remember the name of this salesperson, because he was great! It's been a few months now and the sectional is holding up well, despite my dogs and foster dogs.
