We attended one of their open houses to meet the puppies, tour the facilities, and see firsthand how well they care for and raise their dogs. Everything was spotless, warm, and professional--it was clear they truly love what they do. Our puppy, from Jade and Oakley's litter, is now 4.5 months old. He's playful, healthy, and an incredibly quick learner--he's already picked up on all his basic commands! His favorite things are zoomies in the yard and long, cozy naps. We're so grateful to Rooster Valley Labs for giving our family such a smart, sweet, and well-adjusted companion. Highly recommend! Please follow my pup on Instagram: @barfi.the.labrador and let's set up a play date!

We bought our first yellow lab puppy from this breeder yesterday afternoon and returned back today…read moremorning (less than 24 hrs). The breeder has no refund policy 600 registration + 2900 price of the puppy. Please be aware. The puppy was almost 12 weeks old which was initially kept by the breeder for their Guardian program. We picked up on Saturday around 11:45am. Drove almost 2 hrs. To begin with the puppy threw up few times in the car and after coming home too. She had motion sickness to begin. We came home and gave water (Puppy had access to fresh water throughout). She did drink. She was running inside the house (little bit crazily and I understand because it's a new place) and would not even let her touch. So we tried to put a collar and put her on leash. Then took her outside to walk. She calmed a little bit down. From 2:15 2:45 pm walked. Then came home she had water. Throw up three times and pooped once in our small backyard. Later took her inside to put her in the pen where she would not sit at all or sleep. This is when she started barking. We left her alone inside the pen to have our lunch at 4:30pm. Took the puppy again for a walk as her barking became a bit louder. The cycle was walk , drink water and barking inside ex pen. Around 5:45pm we fed her dinner. Around 11ish we took for the last walk for the night. Put her to bed around 11:30pm. We had a bad experience with this puppy. If you had a huge home with backyard may be it would have worked. None of us slept the whole night. She was whining and barking throughout the night (which I understand all puppies do). The puppy would not stay inside the ex pen whatsoever. She would not let us pet her too. This puppy was constantly demanding us to take her out. Even at 11:30 pm. From 2 pm to 11:30 pm we were mostly out in and out. She never really went to sleep. As a first time owner, my experience with this breeder was this. I also felt that the breeder was not communicating to us well. Long story short, I wish the breeder at least gave $2900 back. I understand non refundable deposit for sure. I have seen my friends and neighbors owning dogs and yes they all had some initial issue but not like this. This was an expensive experience and I lost nearly $5000 on this puppy and puppy supplies. Having said this, I would request a refund ($2900) from this breeder. I went there only for a yellow lab as our son wished for that. This puppy was definitely a bit aggressive.

I reached out to Daniel about 6 months before we were ready to pick up a puppy and got on the waitlist for our future litter. Due to our extremely picky preferences we ended up moving to 3 other litters before finding the perfect puppy for us. Daniel was so understanding and was more than happy to let us move to the next litter to find the perfect pup for us. Daniel was super communicative with us throughout the whole process and even though I was worried I was asking too many questions he never made me feel bad at all. Daniel sent so many pictures of our future puppy once she was born and kept us in the loop about everything. Daniel's early training has paid off for us-- our puppy is super great in the crate and is doing amazing with potty training. She loves everyone she's met and is just a happy, loving addition to our family. Thank you Daniel for our girl!

I can't say enough to express how much I appreciate this breeder. My puppy is almost 6 months old now and has been the best companion, well behaved, intelligent and sweet, and so easy to love. I credit Daniel and Two Doods Doodles for their professional breeding practices and continued support I get in raising the best dog I've ever had. And I've had many wonderful dogs but this one is hands down the easiest to train. I would love to adopt a sister for her and will most definitely return to Two Doods Doodles

My go-to stop before picking up my pups from the groomer next door, consider it my peace offering…read moretreat run! Parking is never an issue but there are a TON of signs stating to not leave your belongings in the car if so, you're taking a risk. I've never had an issues but I usually am just in and out (not the burger but you know) They have a good selection when it comes to pet supplies. We've been in for both our pups and our fish. They have a variety of fish in the back - (fresh and salt water) along with all the tank supplies. Take a look at their NFS tank - it's always filled with cool fish. They have an awesome selection of dog treats/food. The dog food is located in a separate section of the store - hard right when you enter & through another doorway. What keeps me coming back is the staff. On one visit, a cashier let me know a brand I'd been buying had gone downhill in quality and handed me samples of her top picks. That kind of honest, helpful advice is hard to find. The checkout area also tends to have timely impulse buys (hello, 4th of July calming chews) that actually come in handy. Great neighborhood pet shop with knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend!

Rachael and David, who I believe may be the owners, or at the very least managers (along with their staff), are always friendly, inviting and extremely knowledgeable about animals and what food, or toys may be best for your pet based on your circumstances. They are always inviting and willing to help. I have also found that the pet food products they carry are typically healthier for your pet, more so than you may find at the big chains and box stores. The quality and price points of the pet food are fair and they often times have promotions and discounts. Many of the promotions are buy 12 and get your next one free (ie; bag or case of food etc.). Also, on weekends they have vaccination clinics and sometimes adoption events. They even have a dog wash inside. Check with the store to find out when and how often the Vaccine clinics, pet adoptions and dog wash is available. This place is located in Modesto, in a shopping center that looks like an old western town (corner of Tully and Standiford). Bottom line, I am glad to have found a personable store for all my pets' needs and to be able to help support a local small business.

Everything from how to prepare our home and children, to the best vet to select, to the best trainers in our area. I can't imagine doing this on our own after having Tammy's support. Was debating between a "farm" in the Sacramento region and Jam's, but saw red flags of likely a puppy mill at the other. Also, Jam took the time to talk to me because she wants to ensure that the pups are indeed going to great homes. Asked her if she had any pups available and she pointed me to the pup who is now my baby. His name is Bear (originally Wednesday), and I saw he was perfect. He is adorable and sweet and spunky. Drove down from Sacramento & got him in July 2023 and he will be 2 in February 2025. A lady stopped us on our walk the other day to say how much she was admiring him. Bear is the smallest of the bunch, but he is the head of the household. Thank you Jam!
