If you are not from a small town it is probably not for you. The food is good if you've grown up with it and the service is lacking. They will not put chili on the side, which could potentially go with a lot of dishes! Chili cheese fries, chili burgers, or just plan chili. I wish they had a gluten-free option for those who have the allergy. The parking and wait is ridiculous. The place itself looks very old and run down, but you can't judge a book by its cover. I would recommend the chili hot dog and the fries and a float. Also, if your like me you like to sit with the windows down and enjoy your food but most are to good to bare the heat so they leave their vehicles on and exhaust you to death! read more

Best floats around! I thought I would try something different from your traditional burger (which are amazing) and try the fish. I'M SO GLAD I DID! Very large fillet and juicy! It's probably really interesting if you didn't grow up in small-town Eastern Kentucky. The root beer was tasty and the place was packed. The menu is quite small. The chili dog was ok, it was your basic church potluck chili - basically what you ate at every High School football game as a kid. read more

If you're really into the whole nostalgic drive-in type restaurant, and you live in the area, you basically HAVE to go to this place. Even if you're not, you still need to go. They have really good food, and they make their own root beer, and it's pretty damn good if I say so myself. Great local place for good burgers and hotdogs. Love the chili dogs. Parking is first come first serve so you better be prepared to drive around in circles if you go during busy hours. Waitresses are friendly and hardworking so tip them. Also you can call in your order and they will bring it to your car instead of having to go to the walk up window. read more

First of all the service SUCKS. I was there for about 30 minutes after they took my order. Other people came in after us and got served faster than we did. So when they did bring the food about the time I started to leave we told them to take it back and we went elsewere to eat. I'll never go back till they get their act together. My friend and I made a stop here on the last day of an epic road trip. Without directions, we kind of just took the road off the highway and kept driving towards downtown Corbin...luckily, this place is kind of hard to miss. Not realizing that it had to be partially up for the tray to stay perched on my car window, I spilled some of my meal into the car. Mishap aside, the root beer float we got was delicious, although, really, how could a root beer and ice cream not be?! The bbq was so-so by Southern standards but certainly no worse than your avg fast food pulled pork. A great local drive in, you eat in your car. Food is simple but very, very good. So many things we like. The hotdogs chili, more like a sauce, is outstanding. The burgers are fresh made each day and bought locally. Fresh fixins' for the burgers as well. You must try the Dixie Burger at least once, a burger with saute'd onions and sauce. Onion rings are "real" onions, and fried to perfection. This place is only open 9 months a year, and it's usually crowed through the whole season. read more
