Clean, well organized. Service good. For their flagship product it was disappointing. Beef had very little flavor, required salt to bring it back to life. The spongy bread is a standard for Philly. Really not impressed at all... in a world of sub shops on every corner, you need to do something to stand out and they failed to do that in my opinion. Their steak sub was blah... it was on par with subways steak sub but is not nearly as good as a Charlie's or a Jersey Mike's. Onion rings were way over cooked. Mainly disappointed because it took an hour for what was assumed would be a quick stop. They had a nice covered outdoor dining area and the food was fine. But to go orders took precedence - even when placed after my order - so it took much longer than expected. The silver ware for my salad was sitting out in a plastic bin and not wrapped, so exposed to many customer hands and people congregating by the to- go area. First time eating here. Got the mushroom Philly cheesesteak. Comes with lean steak, onions mushrooms and cheese. Also ordered fried green tomatoes and Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. All of the food was so delicious. One of the best sandwiches I have ever ate before. The tomatoes were crunchy just the way I like them. So juicy. Will definitely recommend this restaurant and would eat there again. Inside the restaurant was clean and food was cooked pretty quickly. read more

Stopped on our way home to Louisville, saw it had good ratings and dropped in. Albeit small (and busy), this business is well staffed and efficient. Our sandwiches (plain Jane, kids chicken strips, the veggie sub, and a mushroom Philly) we're excellent! I had an order of the fried green tomatoes and they were perfectly cooked. To call your business Philly Connection and the meat tastes like it's been setting in a freezer since the creation of time?.... The two young fellas behind the counter were nice and busting butt to serve those waiting. But let's get back to the food...as much as everything cost, the quality of the main ingredient (which is in your business's name) should be of much better quality and not taste like a piece of 5 year old steak found at the bottom of a freezer. Cheese sticks....I think they serve the same kind at my kid's school. Just kidding...the ones at school taste WAY better. Chicken wings...the sauce was delicious. But that was the only thing. With not a lot of fast food options here I recommend stopping here if you are driving through and need something quick to eat. (However wings take longer to cook.) Their sandwiches are great as well as their salads. Bathrooms were clean and service was great. I say prices are very fair too! I was traveling through and decided to stop in for a cheese steak. I have had them from all over the country (yes, including Philly) and this is one of the best I have ever had...this place also has PLENTY of options for that big sandwich. Wanted to make a quick stop for lunch on a college visit trip, but avoid a fast food chain. We ordered "to go" and they fixed us up. They split a shared sandwich and wrapped it up separately after inquiring that the sandwich will be shared. This indicates thoughtfulness and attention to detail. The fries were fresh and hot. The sandwiches had the ideal ratio of meat, cheese, onions and toppings. Yummy! People were friendly and there was a steady stream of customers even for 3:00 on a Sunday. Having lived in Philly for a long time now, I saw this restaurant from the road and just had to try it out. Very different from what I expected. The four stars come from the super friendly employees and the clean restaurant here. But as a Philadelphian who loves the cheesesteaks there, these are nothing like them! Still, the taste isn't bad, just different and a bit subpar. I guess that I came in hoping for a taste akin to Dalessandro's, Jim's, Pat's, Tony Luke's or John's Roast Pork, but got something very different. Also, they need to get the names right. In Philly, they call subs hoagies. If the owners wanted to make it more authentic, they could sell Tastykake products here, treats from a company that originated in Philly. If I had tempered my expectations, I'd have been fine. Really don't think this place lives up to its namesake. As far as that goes, it's a ruse. read more

I went here to please my son. I don't eat cheese. I ordered a plane Jane without cheese. So basically it was a reheated roast beef sandwich. It was not for me. I only like fresh beef. I really like this place, I've explored a lot of their menu and if you like cheesesteaks you will not be disappointed. I would like to point out that this is a sit down place and not a fast food joint but food usually doesn't take too terribly long to get to you. If you are in a hurry, try calling ahead and pick your food up. I highly recommend the fried mushrooms and any of their wing sauces are great if you're into that. read more

Just left from there. $20 for 2 sandwiches and fries. Placed my order at 3:13 and was handed my food at 3:54pm after asking if we could make it to go because we were going to be late for our 4pm appointment. They gave me attitude. Every other person that ordered after us already had their food. Now I'm sitting in the car eating my cold fries. At least acknowledge and say your sorry for the wait. Our family loves Philly cheese steak, so we had to try this place out. We all got something different; they have many variations, and they were all delicious! My favorite was the Southwest Philly. The restaurant and restroom were clean. My one negative observation was that the staff was not very personable. They weren't rude by any means, just not very inviting. This is a great place to stop if you want something light. The surrounding restaurants are all buffets, so this is a wonderful place if you're watching what you eat. I ordered a 5" turkey sub for $4.35, and then got a surprisingly fabulous side salad for free with a coupon that I got from my motel. The salad had fresh cut tomatoes with artisan lettuce!
