When I called to ask why I hadn't heard back, I was told that it was my responsibility to call them to follow up. Completely unacceptable. The staff were rude and unhelpful, and their communication skills are awful. To make things even worse, my neurologist -- the one who ordered the MRI -- is now refusing to review it herself and is instead having a physician assistant do it. What's the point of seeing a specialist if they won't even look at your results? Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere that actually cares about their patients and knows how to communicate.

He also became rude with me on the phone. He called told me a Rx was not called in (even though I had called 3 times to remind him and I had been in the office and paid a copay and told my Rx would be at the Pharmacy). Evan's explanation was it was due to his credentials had been "temporarily revoked "in their new computer system to call in prescriptions, then he called and yelled at me stating I was rude to his staff. (I was never rude). I was really disappointed. Is demeanor changed and he was not the same Evan I knew as my family practitioner. When he called he yelled (very unprofessional said do not call his staff anymore). I had called 3 times in 3 days to leave a message for Evan asking about my refill. As a patient, and someone that had paid for his services, I had every right to call. I was not rude, I was simply waiting for a Rx that he told me he had already called in. Later, I see him in the newspaper with some quite negative publicity, then suddenly (after a year) I am getting all these bills for a Co pay as if I was in his office when I was not. The copay is for a Phone call where he returned my call. I plan to turn this into my insurance as fraud and speak to them about it. Evan has since passed away and now suddenly they want to bill me for a service that was NOT provided. This is exactly why I followed Melinda to another practice when she left Fla Wellness. I don't have these issues with her. If you bill a patient a year after sending no bills, it needs to be a VALID BLIL for services provided, not for a return phone call. I would not recommend Fla Wellness after my experience.

Starting at the front desk Sherri was always so helpful and worked closely to ensure I was able to schedule all my therapy sessions. Sherri was especially helpful when I needed to change days and time. She always greeted me by name and was so upbeat. All the Physical Therapists I dealt with were incredible. Collectively they were always positive and took a genuine in my progress. I am convinced I would not have progressed as well as I did without John, Maggie, Victoria, Brent, Brannon and the rest of the Physical Therapists. Every one truly knew their profession and really took the time to challenge me every time I had a therapy session. They always greeted me by name and took a vested interest in my progress. There are a lot of choices for physical therapy and I truly believe First Choice Therapy should be everyone's first choice for therapy. Thanks to the entire team at First Choice.

The main thing they wanted to do is message therapy to include areas you don't have issues with ( just burning time and money). You are in an open area with tables lined up where they had numerous employees working on people openly, talking to each other, complaining about the place, counting their days to leave and the list goes on (how about concentrating on the treatment). You felt like cattle being brought in and out. They then push overpriced equipment on you to burn up your money while you're at one of your lowest points of life (A employee saw this and told me don't get anymore stuff). The only thing is at what they thought was the end of my PIP when asked why I wasn't getting real treatment I was advised they were afraid to treat me. Unfortunately for them I had extended medical with a lot more money and took my business elsewhere. They even had the nerve to tell me that I needed to tell anyone else of my medical issues. I then went to a real rehab facility that produced life changing results. What was crazy is their sorry selves tried to get me to come back.
