I can not be more thankful for Allyson. Y'all...my hair was the color of FIREBALL...THE BOOZE!! I can't make it up! FIREBALL!!! Allyson returned my message requesting an appointment very promptly with a phone call, which is a rarity these days. She left me the option to call her back or text her back, which I appreciated. I called her back, and she answered, another rarity. I briefly explained my situation and she asked me to send her pictures. I sent her the pictures to which she immediately replied back with all pertinent questions regarding my hair history. She explained what she thought had happened, what should not have been done to my hair, and how that resulted where I now was. She asked what I was looking to do and I told her I just wanted my hair to be pretty again. Allyson what she could do and what she WOULD NOT do, which was extremely appreciated! I was able to understand her because she explained things in normal lingo. Not only did we have a consultation via text, we had another in person before my appointment began. First of all, I was not kept waiting when I arrived as I usually find is the case while the hair dresser finishes up with their previous client. She met me personally and took me to her salon. Again, this is not the usual. Allyson explained in depth to me what happened as she finally got a chance to look at and study my hair in person. She explained that my hair was in fact melted, how long it would take to fully recover, what she could do that day, what I would need to do, and what she could do in the future to make my hair not look like a full on bottle of Fireball. Allyson was attentive and informative! We talked about my lifestyle as she wanted to make sure she cut my hair to suit my needs. She new I had court the next morning, so she went ahead and styled my hair and set it so I didn't have to worry about doing it myself the next day as I was already stressed about the situation. We went ahead and booked my follow up appointment and she advised me on a product to use to aide in restoring the damage. She recommended a drug store product, not a $2000 salon only product! I was surprised at this, but after doing some research on the product she suggested, I found that she recommended the number 2 product on the market for the type of damage my hair had suffered. The next morning, my hair was still set the way she had styled it, Which took a huge amount of stress of me! When I tell you this woman was a godsend to me, I mean it! It took nine hours over 2 different visits and $500 for one hairdresser to destroy my hair. It took another $300 for another hairdresser to attempt to fix what the first one done. Although she covered it up, she actually ended up causing more damage more damage. Allyson was able to see both of their mistakes, and rectify in the appropriate manner. Most importantly she did not do anything that should not have been done and explained why she couldn't do certain things at this point. It is for this reason that I will never see another hairstylist. It took everything I had to even attempt to see one more person and I am grateful that I did, most importantly I am grateful that it was her!
