I called and talked to Chris and he promised to come out and take the rest of the tree. That was 90 days ago. I've called, texted, begged and gotten promise after promise. But he never comes.

Our experience with Big Bend Landscaping left much to be desired. Our initial outdoor living space…read moreproject last year took over 6 months for completion. We accepted their proposal in June 2024, making a large deposit for the project to begin. Yet we struggled to get any kind of a project timeline from them and had difficulty getting timely responses. Finally in early November 2024, the project was completed but unfortunately the space couldn't really be used given the weather. In March of this year, we contacted Big Bend Landscaping to inquire about the patio pavers being discolored. After multiple visits by Big Bend Landscaping and representatives from Belgard, we were informed that the pavers were defective and the entire patio needed replacing. We agreed to have the work start in August and we were advised that to ensure no other discrepancies, a supervisor would be onsite the entire time with the crew. In summary, this did not occur. Pavers were delivered without their presence. The following day, the laborers began dismantling the old patio, without supervision, loading huge amounts of pavers into their dump truck, causing multiple cracks to our new concrete driveway. We immediately informed Big Bend Landscaping and were advised that they would either repair or replace the two concrete pads - whatever we wanted them to do. However, when it came time to address it, we were advised that the owner, Joe Francke, refused to pay to have the concrete replaced and that they were not responsible for any damage to our property. Instead, they attempted to repair the cracks which made it look even worse. See the attached photos. We have attempted to communicate with Big Bend Landscaping on this decision and provided them with a quote from our concrete company. However, as was the case with our entire engagement with Big Bend Landscaping, the current owner elects not to respond. There are far too many landscaping companies in the St. Louis area that would love to earn your business and treat you with professional courtesy. This is not one of them.

On April 18th my neighbor had a good size tree taken down. In the process of the tree getting cut…read moredown my fence got damaged and bent. When my husband got home that day he went around back and seen our fence got damaged. Right away Bobby the owner told my husband that he is going to fix the fence. With a business you would think. When my fence got damaged someone would have knocked on the door but no one did. They waited for us to realize it on our own. On April 21st I talked to Bobby on the phone and he told me that my fence will get fixed and that he is taking it out of Josh the tree climber check. I messaged Bobby on April 30th asking for an update on fence. Read message but no response. I given him more than 24 hours before I messaged again asking if he got my message from yesterday and that i need a time frame on when fence is getting fixed. Again no response. I tried calling and no answer. I told my husband let me try calling from his phone. Tell me why Bobby answered to my husband phone right away. Right there tells me that he was ignoring me. He hung up on me because of having truck problems and noticed it was me and didn't like how i was talking to him. What do you expect when someone realized that you are ignoring them. On may 1st then he gives me his tree climber info saying he is responsible one. I asked why he didn't give me this info 2 weeks ago. He told me that Josh told him that it is fixed but didn't bother to verify with me. Just assumed that my fence was fixed. I messaged him on may 5th and he was still talking about his truck being broke down but fence will be fixed this week. On may 8th he caught my husband coming home and told him that the fence will get fixed by tomorrow. When I got home fence was still not fixed. I also told him to contact me before going on my property and didn't do that either. Just went on my property today without letting me know. Not only that your business is closed on Sundays so why was you on my property without letting me know. When I got home on may 10th I went to check on my fence since I seen him on camera on my property without letting me know. He only replaced corner piece on fence but my chainlink got bent and he is not replacing it. For almost a month and got nothing but the run around. I had to keep on messaging him for updates. His communication sucks and didn't even bother to let me know he was done until I messaged him.
