I love rummaging the housewares and this section was small and just a jumbled mess. They have racks and racks of clothing so maybe that's what all the hype is about. But I felt claustrophobic walking through those aisles. Entrance/exit was tights and hard to navigate when there's a lien to check out.

Will I ever find a thrift shop down here that will be able to hold what I am looking for? Probably…read morenot, but it's interesting to discovery what is available until that day arrives. I was just out for a minute on this day, hopping from one thrift store to the next. And without any luck whatsoever. Coming here was kind of a mistake. I should have taken tripping over the entrance as my warning, but I guess I'm a glutton for punishment and decided to venture in anyway. I wanted to check out the furniture section as I have something in mind and when I see it, it will just click. However, forget about browsing this furniture section as a multitude of customers find this to be a seating area instead of merchandise to purchase. No matter how many times you go to view the items, or how many times you want to look at something behind them, they will not move and seem to not understand that for purchase does not mean you can sit all day until you are ready to head out again. I did browse a bit, but did not find anything that caught my eye. It might be the selection they had overall, but I didn't see anything at all that was appealing to me. I did scope out the dinnerware and what not, but after not really seeing anything I made my way out. Without tripping this time.

Just went back to the shop yesterday -- here are some updates!…read more - The shop is open now on Sundays from 3-6 pm... and NOT open on Saturday from 12-3. Essentially its hours now are Thursday-Sunday 3-6 pm. Even if the door is locked, just knock and the shopkeeper will let you in. - The owner (Sylvia) is going to start transitioning the clothes to the spring season... coming in a couple of weeks or so! - On that note, the shop's strong suit are the accessories -- lots of nice cocktail hats/handbags/jewelry. Examine closely, because pretty much everything in there's for sale. - Starting next week she's going to start making prices static. Yeah, no more haggling, but at least it will be a lot less pressure for those who are uncomfortable with negotiating. In conjunction, some of the prices of the clothing will be adjusted... so maybe that amazing paillette jacket will be cheaper now? Also, I've learned something recently, having become acquainted with the owner. Y'know how it might be kind of intimidating/irritating when the shopkeeper tries to talk to you/make comments about what you're browsing? Well, I always found it that way. All in all, it's just the keeper trying to be friendly, not necessarily trying to pressure you into buying something. Ain't nothin' wrong with trying to be nice.

The prices are to die for, especially in DC where most vintage or thrift stores are anything but thrifty. The shop owner, Sylvia, is such a sweet lady. She gave me a great deal on some amazing pieces I would have easily paid double for and still would have walked out thinking I got a good price. Needless to say I will be going back again and again and will do my best to spread the word about this lovely little gem. I am almost a bit hesitant to share this with too many of my friends, as I want to make sure I get all the goodies, but there seemed to be plenty to go around and the shop owner is just too nice and lovely to not help support. Go there - you will find something you love. Great place to buy gifts!!!

They also have really good prices on books. I left without any clothes, but i did buy a stack of books. This place probably has the best prices around for books. It's kind of small, with a limited selection of options. I took the bus here, which was an hour each way, so i wouldn't recommend it if you also rely on public transportation. I spent less than an hour here. Items you can find: men's, women's, and children's clothes, as well as some furniture, and books. Here's a price breakdown: Colors are mixed together and everything is loosely arranged by size, so it's not terribly well- organized. I found size 0 clothes next to L and XL, so I'm honestly not too sure how it's organized here. By style? The prices are kinda all over the place. Like i saw a few Forever 21 dresses for $10, which I'm pretty sure is how much they'd cost new in that store. Dresses: $5- $20 Blouses: $3 - $7 Tank tops: $2.50 - $8 Pants and slacks: $4 - $10 Skirts: $5 - $10 Long sleeves: $4 - $10 Book prices: Paperbacks: 0.44 Hardbacks: 1.91 Children's Books: 0.33 Magazines: 0.25 (or 5 for $1) Bibles: Free
