I should not be paying $ 8.99 for an off brand rayon material blouse. I get that they have overhead expenses to cover but some of the items your better paying a few $ extra for brand new. They have a membership card that you can sign up for, to save more money. The store also has a indoor bazaar section that has multiple vendors, from seamstress, jewelry, and eye brow threading. Outside the store they had vendors selling pozole and tamales. I might come back but the prices here aren't worth it.

So after looking around and finding a spot, I headed out. Made my way here and the area was still reeling from the storm that rolled through. The parking lot was a mess and even though they had just opened, they were jammed. I found one of the remaining parking spots near the store and made my way inside. I was expecting a rather expansive area on the inside only to find out that it is much smaller. Not usually a problem, but when it came to browsing, it made for a much more bothersome experience. I would spot an item, want to take a look at it and then promptly be pushed out of the way with another customer with a cart. I was beginning to get frustrated when I decided that I would give it another go. I came here to find an item to put my remotes in and kept going through the housewares section. I had in mind what I wanted, couldn't quite find it. When I did, you could tell it was cheaply made with the Goodwill mark up. I was about to give up when I spotted the endcaps filled with random items. I saw one particular piece and decided this would fit the bill until something else might come along. I quickly went through the clothing but when it comes to clothing for men, this place is severely lacking. Compared to the women's section, it is about quarter the size. Checking out was fast. I paid for my purchase and was back outside.

I arrived a few minutes early with my things and stepped away for about 6-8 minutes to use the restroom elsewhere since I was told I couldn't use theirs, which I understood. When I came back, the owner quickly told me she had already looked through everything and didn't want any of it. I was shocked because my things were clearly untouched and I had a suitcase with a number-code lock on it. I asked her twice if she had opened the suitcase, and she said yes, but I was aware that she never actually went through my things at all. I left upset and called the store afterward to confront her. She panicked, kept apologizing, and said she learned a big lesson from this. What is disappointing is that I was judged before I was even given a chance. I couldn't help but feel that my dark hair and brown skin played a role in how I was treated and that assumptions were made about what I may have brought in. No one should walk into a business and feel dismissed or stereotyped like that. I do not recommend consigning or shopping here.

They are not very customer friendly- I am clearing out several storage spaces…read more Their buyers were gone on vacation last week so I drove 45 minutes to get here before 6 to get items sold- I am leaving to go out of town at 5 am- but they were through buying for the day as they stated they stop st 3. I have sold a few things there in the past but I did not commit their exact hours to memory. They would not keep the items to price the next day even though there were 3 or 4 employees standing around. Given their business model is selling our castoffs, I would think their customer/seller approach would be minimally accommodating .

This wonderful little store has alluded me for sometime!…read more You know how when you are trying to find something, it tends to be right in front your face. So, I go into this store, thinking it's gonna be like one small room with overpriced cherry/walnut traditional dressers. Or marble topped... things. But they quite a collection of assorted goods. I asked the really nice cashier about how they operate, and she was happy to explain that their merchandise changes regularly. And that after 30 days of something being there, the price drops by ... (either 10 or 20 percent- I can't remember). She told that every week she comes in, theres a ton of brand new merchandise. There is quite an interesting collection of goods. And they even have a 5 dollar shelf, where all the sales from that shelf go to a philanthropic charity. That's a cute little thing. I found a really old box ( most likely late 19- early 20th century). I found a couple of old tins I wanted. A pretty cool little plan propellor with wood inlay. I found a beauitful dresser. It was already sold. The most suprising thing about this store, other than the bunch of great finds, and the largess of the store ( when it looks like the size of a matchbox) is that the prices are very reasonable for a consignment shop in the middle of Bethesda. I will surely be stopping in here regularly to see what new merchandise they have. I can't wait. Going into a store where the merchandise changes regularly is such an adventure.

This TJ Maxx location is a hit or miss!…read more Sometimes they have what I'm looking for and sometimes they don't. The sections are organized throughout the store. However, the items are subpar in quality and value. Over the years, I've been able to find a solid coat during the winter, seasonal home decor (candles, throw pillows, etc.), and journals/planners for myself and gifts for friends. No complaints with the customer service if I need to return something, and the lines are never too long. If you're reading this before January 3, 2026, everything must go so stop in to see they have anything while everything is an additional 30% off. This is their last week at this location.

In fact, I actually picked up a couple of things that were not on my list (e.g., a few scented candles). For my visit, I primarily wanted to pick up a few bedding and kitchen items. I had no problem finding the things that I needed (e.g., mainly pillows, regular towels and dish towels). Like other Tj Maxx location, I thought the prices were fine, especially for the area. Customer service was fine and the store was clean and organized. I think this is a great place to pick up some last minute items, and I more than likely will be back in the future.
