The atmosphere is so cool. Marty Robbins fans would have the best time here. The food was very good and the drinks were Texas size and cold. What more can you ask for.

The place was nice and it was pretty packed. I liked the sign-in book at the entrance. It did look like they were short staffed. Our food came out cold, except the caldo. The caldo was warm. Everything else our server had to take back the food to re heat it. The food tasted okay, nothing special really. I'm blaming the fact that our food was cold on the possibility that they may have been short-staffed.

Rosie's Cantina looks a little like an old jailhouse from the outside, but inside, it's full of life and character. The waitress told me it's always been a bar here near the southern border, and you can feel that history in the walls. The big wraparound bar is the centerpiece, surrounded by a mix of bikers, families, and regulars who clearly know this place well. It's $2 taco and beer night, and the tacos are worth every bit of the hype--deep-fried shells that are crisp and golden, filled generously and served piping hot. The salsa is superb, spicy with real flavor, not just heat. The waitresses are friendly and striking, and the overall vibe feels both local and lively. There's even a small stage that hints at live entertainment on other nights. Rosie's isn't fancy--it's authentic, a little gritty, and completely El Paso. A perfect Tuesday night stop.

This place reminds me of the best dive bars in NYC! Excellent food, drinks and food!! Definitely recommend!

This place was a recommendation on a friend who told me that the singer of the song El Paso was honored in this bar/restaurant. It's very close to the Texas New Mexico border and from the outside it looks like a very sketchy place. I must tell you as a tourist it was not. Although we had to park on a dirt parking lot the inside of the bar looked like a roadhouse. It was a Friday night, so it was already busy and plenty of tables were already filled. We sat near the bar and ordered food. Both my girlfriend and I had the three taco play and my God were they absolutely incredible. Perfectly crispy tacos with ground beef, cheese, lettuce, and tomato. The beans and rice were really good, but I wish there had been more on the plate. The red and green salsas were really spot on. I got a bit overzealous and ordered their rosa's nachos. I couldn't finish them obviously, but I did enjoy the important elements. My girlfriend had a mango margarita which she delightfully enjoyed. I would totally recommend anyone visiting to come here. There are a lot of regulars that come on a Friday night and they drink a lot. They also have live bands, which were really good. Definitely come have a good time here.

This is somewhat of a "dive bar" but the food is good as is the service. We arrived at about 11:30 AM and were just ahead of the lunch crowd, and I do mean crowd. The place was almost empty when we arrived. It was open seating and our server greeted us promptly. Rosa's has daily specials during the week for $13. Friday was shredded beef tostadas with rice and beans. The good was good and the price was unbelievably reasonable. The starter was a bowl of cabbage soup. It was followed by a basket of house made flour tortilla chips and green salsa. The building has a sheet metal roof and western signs hanging on the walls. It has a small gift shop with "Rosa's Cantina" merchandise. "Out in the West Texas Town of El Paso...". The place soon filled up with locals, not so much tourists. There were only three servers, and they were "busting their butts" to keep up with the crowd. You could tell most of the crowd were locals as they were wearing mechanics uniforms, nurses uniforms, and a lot of people knew others, greeting them as they were walking through the door. The only disappointment was we did not meet "Feleena." If I am back in El Paso I would happily go there again. Yes, a "hole in the wall dive bar," but with good food.

Love the ambiance, the music in the background was soft and not overpowering, but we didn't come when they had a live band. Great service. The wait staff was friendly and a delight. No, I didn't meet me a Mexican girl named Feleena. There isn't even a Feleena currently employed at Rosa's. As for the taste of our Burgers we're delicious. Hot meat and cold veggies on that burger. Perfect. Great fries as well.

If you're a Marty Robbin's fan passing through El Paso you must stop in. The historic cowboy vibes are definitely felt. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to try much food, but the Mole did look fantastic. A few of their classic margaritas really hit the spot in the dry heat. Rosa's is quite generous with their pours if you go with the 'tall' version of any of their cocktails. Cheers!

Visited this weekend and had a wonderful time. The food was good and the beer was ICE cold. The best part was the service. Our server was so sweet and attentive. Will definitely be back. I want to listen to the music they have in the evenings.

The combo plate was perfect for hubby! And yes, that's one of the tacos of my dreams!

Hands down this place gets a 5 star review!! Not only is it nostalgic for my generation, it's also simply a fun place with down to earth comfort food coming out of the kitchen! Service is wonderfully local, meaning each and every visitor is treated like a friend or family member. First time or tenth time, you're treated like family! Some folks may not appreciate that as it may come off as aloof but we love it and Felicia is now my best friend! The place is decorated just like I would expect an old cantina to be! Rustic! Marty Robbins on the wall and jukebox, checkered tablecloths and wood furniture. The food is Mexican comfort food! Nothing fancy, no glitter and no unnecessary stuff thrown all over the plate, just good solid food! The ground beef tacos are where it's at for me! All my life we've had what we call Farmer's Tacos (meat, potato, vegetable) and these tacos were them exactly! They were always that special birthday meal all of us picked on our birthday! Make sure to add this historic little spot to your bucket list and don't let the outside of the building scare you off!!

The front desk at my hotel recommended The Tap, and I was a little taken aback by how divey it was. Very early '70's bar. Dark, with lots of locals.

I literally put "extra jalapeños with everything on it please" on the extra instructions and I even called and asked for extra salsa (to be able to mention I added those extra instructions so my nachos would for sure have everything on it) The order was dropped off and my nachos were plain dried up shredded chicken with just cheese nothing else. I also ordered the Chilli Relleno burrito and chili Colorado Burrito. The only good burrito was the Chili Relleno.. the other one had a sweet flavor to it and seemed too salty as well I heard really good things about this place and I've ordered from here before last time I was in ELP and I remember the order being pretty good.. I honestly just wanted to try a different item this time and it was a big mistake. That was def a waste of money I just spent tonight. Very disappointed. Won't be coming here ever again.
