Instead of packaging it, she threw the entire plate away. When we asked about it--assuming she was preparing it to-go--she laughed, said "oops," and made no offer to remake the dish, discount it, or remove it from the bill. Her service throughout the visit felt disorganized, and she seemed distracted and inattentive. Been here multiples times and always wanted a bit more out of it. The environment is really nice and so is the service the waitresses are really good and very attentive and I'm always happy with the service here. The food however, has some opportunities for improvement in my opinion, I recently had their menudo on Sunday and had to add quite a bit of salt and chili flakes to get something out of it, the bread was barely toasted and buttered as well. First time at this restaurant and the service and food were phenomenal. I now can understand why there was a 'line' when we arrived and a longer 'line' when we departed. We hosted our annual Christmas party at Gabriels- anxious to get together with friends after the pandemic. Gabriel's restaurant was a wonderful venue and very hospitable. This place is fantastic! I guess it's no wonder they're always busy. We came here for breakfast (well, brunch by the time we arrived), and they were packed! There was a wait, but there was just two of us, so we were able to sit in the bar area right away. Our server was WONDERFUL; very helpful and fast. The menu is pretty large and a bit different from other Mexican restaurants in the area (they even had an American breakfast section). I ended up ordering the Huevos Rancheros (eggs on a tortilla in some kind of tomato sauce with extra tortillas on the side, breakfast potatoes, & beans). Next time I'll get it without cheese (i don't think it listed cheese on the menu, but I should just always say no cheese all the time haha). The eggs were cooked perfectly over medium as I requested, and though normally I don't care for the sides, these were too good to skip! The breakfast potatoes were seasoned and cooked so well that I inhaled them, and the beans had a kind of smoky flavor to them. So good! My boyfriend was very happy with his pancakes and sausage. And, everything was very reasonably priced (which is especially awesome right now since inflation is out of control). I can't wait to come back here and try everything on their menu! read more

This was one of my favorite Mexican restaurants for many years. Unfortunately, it is not what it used to be. I will not be returning because this morning my mother and I experienced an extremely bad situation with our order. After waiting 20 minutes we were told that the item that we ordered was on the breakfast menu and they were going substitute something else from the lunch menu. We decided that we were no longer interested in wasting time. The waitress should have let us know about the delay. Also the waitress told us we would have to pay for eggs to go with the chilaquiles. That's a new one on me. On another occasion we ordered menudo but were told that there were no lemons because they are too expensive. Very strange. After the chilaquiles fiasco we decided to leave and they charged us $6.50 for the coffee that we were drinking waiting for the order. Waiting 20 minutes for a non existent order and still being charged for the coffee. I protested but we were charged for the coffee anyway. That sealed my decision to never return to Gabriel's because of the lack of consideration for THE CUSTOMER! We visited Gabriel's yesterday afternoon (5/22/22) and checked in with the male host. I excitedly asked if they had any vegetarian options and the gentleman's immediate response was, "you're in the wrong place" in a sarcastic tone of voice and a smirk on his face. Came here for an employee Christmas party and drove right past it due to their sign being pretty dark during the night. They have decent amount of parking space and have nice people to greet you and take you to your seats. I really like the atmosphere here. Nice lighting, and furnished with an authentic Mexican style. The chips were fresh and crispy-not too hard. I really enjoyed their fresh verde salsa, I ended up using it on my rice and enchiladas too haha. I had tried their red cheese enchiladas, which came with rice, beans and lettuce. It was absolutely amazing. I did not have a huge appetite but I sure ate the crap out of it! The portions are well sized, not too little, not too much. My husband had the green chicken enchiladas and loved them! He doesn't usually like to spicy of food, and this was mild enough for him to take down. Their bar is pretty small but cute. They have beer, wine and cocktails, or you can simply order a shot of whiskey. I, of course had to try their margaritas, and they were the business!! They were huge, and not overloaded with that sour mix. I ordered two ;) They weren't expensive either! I paid roughly $5 for a margarita on the rocks. Went to have a nice lunch with my family, but I dont believe the server was on board. We ordered our food which took a long time to get there, the server came up and said it would be there shortly, which led me to believe she forgot to put the order in, or had just remembered we were there. When the food came the cheese was less than warm, as was the meat. Three orders of tacos, and one chile relleno, all tacos luke warm and warm chile. This place is a walking Health Department violation. A large group of us went there for dinner and here is our assessment: Bar: The bar was substandard. They ran out of Dos Equis within 10 minutes. No sparkling water, Club Soda made from tap water, no limes, no mint. Facilities: The bathrooms were filthy. In the mensroom was vomit and grafitti. In the women's room it stank like an open sewer, there were no paper towels and the toilets had clearly not been cleaned in over a week. In one stall appeared to be smeared fecal material. The fish tank in the entrance was filthy. Check this out: there were used utensils on the window ledge next to our table. Food: Horrible salsa. Steak extremely fatty: more fat than meat. One entree described as having three jumbo shrimp but they were were not jumbo by any stretch of the imagination. Pollo Asado: Needed a steak knife to cut the chicken. The baked potatoes were undercooked. Service: Terrible service; of course, since we were a large group-the 18% service charge was included. At one point a waiter stood up on the water fountain and bellowed out a question regarding whether he had taken all our orders. The waiters did not write down who ordered what meal so did not know who got what steak, etc. We had to go to the bar on our own on several occasions to get drinks: That's how bad the service was. read more

I really love Gabriel's. I go there quite often as a customer of mine always chooses to go back. I have had a wide variety of their dishes and they are consistently VERY good! The staff is consistently excellent, no matter who waits on me. Their salsa is quite 'picante' so watch out if you haven't developed your taste to jalapenos, but it is SO good! I believe our favorite is the 'tacos alambre' but you won't go wrong no matter which dish you choose! read more

Good authentic Mexican food, nothing fancy, just good food and really good service. I was worried at the start of our visit when they told us they didn't have a high chair for my 16 month old boy. We used a booster chair with great hesitation. The place was pretty busy and there were a lot of families with children in high chairs but they need a few more. My family ordered a variety of items on the menu and we were all pleased. Everything was pretty tasty. Even my sons were happy with their food. It's not fine dinning but it was good and very filling. I saw a lot of items coming out of the kitchen that I'd like to try on our next visit. I was surprised at the level of service that we received. The food came out quickly and my drink was never empty. We will be back to try some of the other menu items. We have been to Gabriel's many times in the past. Today was the first time it was really bad. Service was terrible. We didn't get utensils before our food came, we had to adk for them. Our server was more interested in talking to the girl at the front. Not once did he come and see if we needed a refill or anything. We had to ask another waiter for a refill.
