Rosaurs Grocery and Gas Review Rosaurs grocery store is well organized and super clean. I'd personally like to see more vegetarian and vegan options available. It sounds silly but I would like to have less customer service :) lol During my visit I was greeted a ton by several employees which was great but it started to get overwhelming when I was trying to think about what it was I had originally came in for... Settling on purchasing alkaline 8.8 ph (loved the price point on the water) and Siggi's Keifer my total came up to $5.38 I've come here to Rosaurs gas station a few times enough to say that their fuel for 87 standard is average. It's no better or worse than any town and pump in town. It is a self operated shop so little to no interaction with employees. I have noticed that the gas prices fluctuate quickly. There was a time where it was $4.09 a gallon and then no more than four days later it was $3.99. So that is something to pay attention to. I'm neutral regarding the gas aspect of this review. Nothing extraordinary as far as gas stations go but nothing to make less than favorable mention about. read more

This morning 7/7/23 about 8:30I had $183+ in groceries and the only thing open was the self-checkout. There were several people hanging around the check stands and the attendant only answered my questions...no help or conversation other than that. Shockingly poor customer service. A culture of distain for customers; coming directly from the top. Store manager-"Jerry" had no interest in hearing complaints about the rude behaviors of his curbside service staff. Instead, engaged in antagonist behaviors designed to upset me further: to achieve his goal of getting me to blow up - so he would have the excuse to cancel my order - his petty revenge for my telling him that his condescending tone and unprofessional attitude was unacceptable. I walked away twice, to be called back by him for no other reason then to continue what had devolved into an argument Even as I left in a huff he called out to me "have a nice day!" Over the top obnoxious. No wonder the young kids who work there are snots. I will never shop there again. Follow up: I heard Winco is going in next door. A GREAT alternative. Rosauers has always had the best bakery in town. I realize that Covid has hurt businesses with staffing. My review is that they are slipping in the bakery department. I buy the butter tea cookies and I love their light buttery flavor. However, they have recently been overcooked and dark brown making them very dry. Also, the cinnamon rolls have had their cream cheese applied very uneven and looking like it was done in a hurry. I think they need to train the new employees what is expected and not put out semi-quality products. read more

I still love shopping here, although the prices are quite a bit higher than other places unless you catch a sale. They do have really good deli meat and a pretty good cheese selection. The bakery Yum. The only downside to this specific trip is I would avoid going through the checkout line with cashier Julie, I had a bit of a mixup with my order and I don't know if it's just her personality? Or if it was intentional. but she made me feel really embarrassed. I can honestly say that I haven't gotten that much attitude from the cashier in a long time, especially at Rosauers. We used to love shopping here. However this whole pandemic thing has brought out the worst true colors in people. The manager here is a jerk, he cussed my husband out because he complained about a worker being rude to me. I was walking in the store and she meets me at the door after I'm almost across the crosswalk. She says "ma'am you're not allowed to wear your hat in here right now". First of all it's no different than other clothing on my body because it messes up my hair so it's not like I'd take it off inside anyway. The BIGGEST part of the problem with this however is that SHE was wearing a hat AND there were 2 old people walking out the store at the same time wearing one each. We will NEVER shop here again and I would rather drive all the way down reserve to buy gas at Albertsons than spend another penny at Rosauers for gas or anything else. After her rudeness I said "that's fine we'll go to Walmart", turned and walked away. However I'm pregnant and that means that whether I wanted to or not I started crying. That's when my husband was pissed at their discrimination and called to complain to the manager. Then manager was a complete jerk and started swearing at my husband saying he was wrong and called him a lying asshole. So we contacted the corporate office. If I could give ZERO STARS I would. Bought a dozen Kumamoto oysters 1.50$/each yesterday. I took them out of the bag & put in a bowl of ice in the frig to breathe. Shucked the next night. All the shells were closed. Unfortunately, 3 were rotten & the rest smelled like cow poop. First 2 my husband ate were good, the third was funky & couldn't eat more. He was braver than me, I wouldn't eat any. Also bought 2 dozen clams to steam. They were ok but not great & wouldn't recommend. Their seafood manager needs to pull the oysters. read more

This is a review of the cafe/deli. It's ok, if you like to hang out with old people and chatterboxes that talk about nothing in the morning. For a hipper crowd, try Good Food Store. Also the WiFi (RosauersWiFi) is slow. Signal is good but whatever is the backbone feels like a home DSL line capped at 100KB per device. Updating apps is nowhere near the speed of Verizon's 4G in the area, and wifi should always be as fast or faster than local mobile services. Coffee is fresh, they also have bulk kombucha. Unimpressed on four counts. Most grocers don't have what are most important for the customer. They all wreak of advertising and taking your money without the consumer in mind. The deli served me a cabbage roll with spam tasting meat, it came on a big styrofoam plate, and the sides were so globby I could walk with it and it wouldn't fall off a tipping plate. Customer service should air on the side of friendly- instead of police- and the managers have both offered run-ins at my request for help. It is unpleasant to make extra trips to return outdated products to the store that made me pay for. I forgot to bring the product in and Management recited policy without empathy. They were firm that I had to have the receipt and product in hand. The last thing anyone wants to have to do is hold a bad food product and receipt near the door for errands, in order to go back to the grocery store and that they took your money for. Stores should accommodate for the time and hassle it takes to do this when pricing the inventory- customers would have to return or eat the cost. Them spread the savings throughout the store. Awhile back, I wanted to put a small sign advertising homecare near the handicap signs and they confronted me in the parking lot and explained that they don't have concerns for the local public and were headquartered from Spokane, who makes the particular policy. We don't have a lot of grocers to choose from and they use monopolies for extra $$. I appreciate the size of inventory that Rosauer's has and once in a while will go out of my way to have a shop there. But these qualities don't outweigh the poor customer service and value, for us, of the item purchased. read more

I enjoy Rosauers. Their staff is friendly and they have a large selection of great, fresh food and it seems the dates are always great, which can be a challenge for some local chains. The reason I am leaving a less than ***** is due to the unprofessional and gaudy windshield rock chip business running out of the parking lot. It appears they are a mainstay and that Adams trees is no more? I used to get a tree every year and loved seeing the trees at Rosauers. I'm honestly not sure that the over-use of signage by the rock chip place is legal? Also, I'm not sure how they run a full-scale operation using what is a temporary vendor location.
