I usually shop online and use the drive up and go. This is the 2nd time that the shopper has charged me for groceries and did not give them to me. Shopper also seemed like the whole deal of bringing the groceries out to me was a pain in her butt. New employee told me to call back in the Morning to get my refund. I called the 877 number for customer complaints and told the rep about my experience. She appeared to be reading off of a script and couldn't vary from it. Updated Review: After my last review was posted I was contacted by the manager of this Albertson's store. He was very interested in my feedback and concerned about the issues I noted in my review. We had a good discussion. Since that time I continue to shop here and have noted some good improvements in the atmosphere. Primarily, the staff at the front of the store seem much more engaged in their work. I've seen no more of the grand socializing I used to see. I've even had staff do the bagging at checkout! I appreciate the work they are doing to improve services here. I think there is still some room to go as staff in the rest of the store still can be less than helpful, but I also realize hiring good staff is challenging in the current market. read more

This particular Albertsons is the closest to my home, but I never seem to shop here. The store has been recently updated and it looks much better than it used to. The layout of the store is nice. The bakery and deli are to your right and produce is to the left. Everything else is in between. There is a large wine and beer selection, and they carry wines from various regions and of various prices. They also carry a lot of local Missoula beer. For a grocery store, their alcohol selection is on point. Their produce is always fresh, but unfortunately comes with a high price tag. This is my last resort for produce because it costs significantly more than anywhere else. Unfortunately Albertsons is not known for their reasonable prices. You can catch some good sales here, but the majority of the time you will end up paying full price for everyday items. I can take the quick one minute drive to Wal Mart and fill my cart with the exact same items and pay a lot less. read more

I sure wish zero stars was a thing. One of the worst grocery stores I've ever been to. Whoever manages this particular Albertsons should have a talking to by upper management. Consistently under stocked or out of stock of the most basic of necessities, and no, it's not due to supply chain issues because this is the only Albertsons consistently out of stuff. When I lived in Ca. Albertson's was the go to store. I now live in an area east of the Mississippi and there are none. Visiting in Missoula, I go here as often as needed. Staff always helps to locate what I ask for. Now, if I can just get them to carry Diet Dr. Pepper in the liter bottle again.... 2years ago they did, and I took several back home with me. Their Man behin the service counter who is thin balding with a gray mustache is ALWAYS put out if I ask some help and gives me brusk answer and an I don't know if the question is above kindergarten level. Ive been shopping at this albertsons for about 35 years. I can find things easily because of this. I don't like the sales ads at all - they are confusing, so I don't go here as much as I'd like to but the store is definitely a go to if I need to find something quick. The aesthetic updates are nice, and the meat dept almost always has good choices. If only they could fix the sales ad's - would be nice to have them be very clear. That way you can check out faster (yes even your staff gets confused by them). The app has made things way more confusing. Tried to look up price of shrimp and crab but without an app - you cannot find that online. Ended up getting it at costco because I didn't want to drive all the way over to compare prices. I guess you have to have that app. Would love to but downloading it is a pain and the staff agrees - and don't really have time to help you to figure it out. My husband evidently has it on his phone but he says its time consuming, and confusing so he goes to Rosaurs as their prices are straight forward. In any case - a decent neighborhood store. I always buy my meat at Albertsons. I swear they have the best cuts and at a reasonable price. Save yourself time and confusions and just ask the people behind the counter in the meat section. I just tried to shop at the Missoula east gate Albertsons. Not only did the customers not have face coverings but neither did the staff. The only one with a covered face was the manager. This is completely irresponsible. The most likely place for virus transmission in Missoula is the grocery store and Albertsons is helping spread death. Racism is still alive in Missoula! Just returned home from Albertsons. I have never been so humiliated in my life. As I was leaving Albertsons, I forgot tomato sauce, so I went back in got the items and headed to the express checkout. I handed my shopping bag with the groceries I had just purchased and the person (I won't say gentleman) asked if I had paid for the groceries. I said excuse me? He said "do you have the receipt for these items" and I said "your joking, right? So I gave him my receipt. For those of you non white people in Missoula, I urge you to boycott Albertsons, Target and North West Denture Center, until they change their business practices. I have experienced differential treatment at all of these places...Target has me followed by a floor walker every time I enter their stores and North West Denture Center accused me of stealing a book! Staff was extremely rude, would not help with a price check. In fact, the you g lady informed me that if I could not figure it out on my own, that I was going to have to got to a different register instead of using the self check because she didn't want to have to stay a minute past closing (as crazy as that sounds, this is what she said verbatim). There was plenty of time for me to finish at the self checkout and I was already 30% done with my groceries with 10 minutes to closing. I told her not to worry about it and went back to checking out at which point she stopped me and said, (again verbatim), "in fact I'm going to suspend this transaction and you need to go to the other register because I'm not staying late and I can tell you are going to be a problem." I politely pointed out that I was almost halfway done and would be finished well before 11 on. She said nope and grabbed my bagged items, stepped uncomfortably close into my personal space essentially boxing me out from the register, and suspended my transaction. Side note: I like to use the self checkout because it is easier for me to budget my groceries and if I don't have enough I can easily leave the items I cannot afford ina cart instead of taking up space at the register. I know this is an inconvenience and I really try to avoid it, but sometimes I just can't afford a few items and have to set them aside. Well, back to my experience tlthat night, after she suspended the transactions and put the multiple bagged items back in my cart, I went to the normal register and started unloading my cart. It was not 5 minutes to close and her interrupting actually caused exactly what she claimed she was trying to avoid in doing so. It took way more time to have everything in bagged, placed on the conveyor and rescanned. And to top it off, I have several items I couldn't afford because the clerk was taking his cues from the self checkout young lady, and would honor the sake prices listed in the vast majority of items, again at the young lady's director. Then she told us that we needed to put back the items we couldn't afford because it was past closing. We finally left at a quarter after the hour and her actions cussed every employee to have to wait for us to finish and leave. This all could have been avoided had she just done her job and let me finish checking out at the self checkout. I was at most 5 minutes from being done and this was at 10 till. I was very polite and did everything she asked despite thinking to myself that the entire idea was ridiculous, I didn't want to cause any issues and complied with her demands. I have never had such a wierd experience in a grocery store in over 30 years of shopping. I don't usually complain to managers and I'm not the type to have my food sent back at restraunts when my order is wrong, but I couldn't let this strange example of poor customer service go unnoticed. So, I wrote this review. And as farcical as it may sound, it is completely accurate without embellishments. I guess what they say is true about truth being stranger than fiction! I hope this review helps someone avoid a similar experience at the Albertsons on North Reserve in Missoula Montana. read more

CVS is our "go to" pharmacy at home and when we travel. As such, we were disappointed by the rudeness and lack of customer-service displayed by the young staff woman at the Brooks Avenue CVS in Missoula. My wife actually felt she had to help another customer who was about to go to WalMart when she couldn't get support from the CVS person. read more

I moved here from Seattle so we could be back with family! My husband being born and raised here. Back in Seattle area, Albertsons was the closest store to me but i bypassed it to shop at Safeway or Fred Meyer. Safeway and Albertsons merged on west coast! I also have heard, you use to have a Fred Meyer here? Too Bad no longer here! As much as i like living in Missoula vs the '___show'- Embarrassment Seattle has become, the choice of grocery shopping here is ABSURD!! Your choice here is either exspensive stores, which are closing, or Albertsons!! Selection and Variety of Name-Brand Products is a Real Dissappointment! I am Not talking Specialty items. Simple Basics, like brand-name spices, salad dressings, ice cream bars, etc! Even the Albertsons stores in Seattle-areas carried more than here!? These are Not new products , nor new brands either. I have an actual grocery List, for when i go to Seattle, i go food shopping and even pack an ice cooler! Back in Seattle, alot of ppl didnt 'Major' shop at Albertsons bc minimal selection in meat dept. and way more exspensive than other stores. (With Large Major Competitors?!) Dairy brands were also Major limited! Atleast since they merged with Safeway, Missoula now also has a 'few' of Safeways house-brands! Thank God! I Like the slower pace in Missoula but i feel like i went back to the DarkAges as far as Grocery shopping is concerned! I guess what you dont know, you dont miss...but like i said, i am talking simple basic products here. And Albertsons...you loose money from me, having to buy in Seattle 2x a month and bring back!?
