I searched a long time for a new stylist and and put off appointments for fear my hair would be cut shorter than requested. I have had that happen so many times in the past and it is a real concern for me. I searched for the best Salons and found Yelp reviews for Changes and decided to give them a try. I am so happy that I did and they now have a new customer! My appointment was with Joe and he made me feel comfortable and he gave me the cut I requested. I couldn't be happier. I was forgot about in the hair washing station while she was working on someone else. When the stylist came back she giggled to say "oops well at least your hair is extra hydrated." This is in fact the 2nd time I came back. To have what I had gotten done from them the day before corrected. As my reference picture I used the picture they had on there yelp. My hair was already very light when I can in and I came out darker and with staining all over my head. Multiple people have pointed out how dark my hair is now. As well, I was told the staining is normal. However, I changed my salon because the one I went to before was very far. I've never once ever had staining all over my forehead. I literally took an hour trying to exfoliate it off. I ran my fingers through my hair when I was driving back home disappointed and a chunk of dark dye was smeared in my hands clearly not rinsed all the way. When I was told multiple times they did not darken my hair at all yet I'll link the pictures below to show. I don't think I should have to go to a salon 3 times to get what I asked for the 1st time. My hair was not terrible I would say but for going back a 2nd time it was still not I asked for.

The salon has a few parking spots right in front, and Courtney welcomed me when I came in. I was happy that she agreed to do two different shades of highlights instead of just one. A really good deal with the groupon. She also guided me in choosing the colors and the cut, and I'm so happy with the result!! My hair is so soft and looks and feels great. This is more of a barber shop than a salon. There aren't any frills. I wasn't offered a water or tea. But I definitely feel like I got excellent value for what I paid (even without the groupon, it would have been a good deal).

The salon is beautiful and big inside and outside. COVID PROTOCOL People who are vaccinated don't need to wear a mask inside the salon. There are different areas for hair/ makeup, nail area, facial/lashes/waxing area room. The salon was very clean. our nail technical sanitize and clean the mani/pedi areas after. SERVICE Excellent service! Shannon our nail technician and has been doing my family's nails for many years. We had to go back to Shannon for my nails to a special event. Shannon did an excellent job filing/ smoothing my callus, cuticles, nails. It did not hurt one bit. I've gone to many nail salons in California and I haven't encounter a technician whose as good as Shannon. She's very good with different types of nails, ANC, gel, regular polish, you name it she can do it. She's also very creative w nail art designs and give recommendations to nail colors for designs. I did both mani and pedi. Both regular polish. It took about 1.5hrs. Shannon was very thorough with the French mani w a twist design, she freehanded the nail tip which was impressive!! Shannon also does lashes, facials, waxing, bridal makeup, etc. I'm going back to her for a lash lift before I travel back home.
