It's the best of both worlds as far as location. The resort is clean and you feel very at home with all the personal touches. I can't say enough about the big house. When I say big, the kitchen and living area are HUGE! We look forward to visiting this resort again.

This was a Tuesday night in February, so we were able to get a very good price on a double queen suite. Room was clean, comfortable and no issues. We had planned to go skiing Tuesday evening but ended up at the pool with our kids. The main lodge has a decent size pool that starts indoors and continues outdoors. There is an indoor hot tub and an outdoor hot tub. Also there are two Saunas. The kids were enjoying themselves so much we didn't even get to go skiing! On Wednesday we got breakfast at the top of the hill. We have eaten here before and it's always been good. After breakfast we got our gear and headed to the slopes. Treetops isn't a huge hill, but for the value midweek and 3 lifts, it's was a great time. We got started right at 10am and skied until about 4pm before heading home. There was almost no traffic and it was non stop skiing. The kids loved it as well and really enjoyed the beginners terrain park they built.

The pool area was fairly clean with just a little bit of salt on the floor from people's shoes/boots. I had on flip flops, so it was ok. I enjoyed the hot tub, though it's highly chlorinated, and my favorite part was the steam room. That was very nice. They provide robes, flip flops and towels. We got scalp massages and Dazzle Dry manicures and both services were great. I especially enjoyed Emily who did my nails; she was skilled and quite pleasant to talk to. The wax dip is amazing and this Dazzle Dry polish is already lasting so much longer than regular polish. Love it. They also had really cute clothing in the lounge area - I was quite tempted by a couple of things. I would for sure return. It was such a lovely day after skiing.

Our family booked a 15-canoe memorial trip for 30 people three months in advance to honor our late uncle. A month before the trip, we pre-paid in full. We were explicitly told by staff that we could adjust our reservation up to 24 hours in advance. The day before the trip, we emailed to scale down to 9 canoes (19 people).Upon arrival, the woman claiming to be the owner flatly refused a refund for the 6 unused canoes. Her justification was hostile and absurd: she stated we "should not have prepaid" and that refunds are only avoided if you pay the day of. This policy was never disclosed to us verbally or in writing.The customer service deteriorated rapidly from there: Hostility at Departure: The owner stood on the deck screaming at both her staff and our family, demanding everyone wear life jackets inside the transport vans--saying no one left without one on-falsely claiming it was a transport fine--rather than explaining it calmly as a high-water safety precaution. Labor: Despite paying full price (plus the 6-canoe overcharge), the resort provided only one staff member per van. Our group was made to help manually unload the canoes at the launch, and drag them up a steep hill and reload the trailers upon return. No trash bins were provided at the landing. Just a bag one of the drivers found in the van Verbal Abuse & Shushing: When two family members calmly went into the office to discuss the refund, the owner became instantly belligerent. When a female family member asked why she was being so rude, the owner told her to "zip it" and repeatedly shushed her like a child. When challenged on the overcharge, the owner claimed she "felt unsafe" and "threatened" from 10 feet away. Physical Altercation & False Accusations: The situation turned completely unhinged when we had to turn our vehicle around to look for a missing key fob. The owner's husband marched out "ready to fight," chest puffed out, screaming at customers. Looking for the guy who "threatened his wife" the situation escalated and The female owner then physically shoved her way into our group at the back of our vehicle, intentionally bumping into a smaller female customer. When the customer pushed back to create space, the owner began screaming like an actor that she had been "assaulted," before videotaping us and threatening to call the police. Honestly we thought at that point we were being punked. The river and weather were beautiful, but Rainbow Resorts completely tarnished a memorial trip for a grieving family. They stole money for services not rendered, treated paying customers like physical threats, and exhibited erratic, hostile behavior. Do not go here. They are completely unprofessional and running a financial scam on pre-payments.

They were also giving out our room number to be jerks without verifying they were with the wedding party. We paid $400 to use their arch that they did not decorate. I had to get help with it. The event coordinator Christina, walked past us and didn't acknowledge us after we checked in. It was very rude. As a coordinator, you should check in with your guest once they are settled. I had to go track her down because we needed to go over a few details for the beach wedding. She claimed she wasn't ignoring us but that's a bold face lie. She still did not speak or acknowledge my now husband the entire weekend. She said nothing else to me after I tracked her down the day we arrived. She said she doesn't like bothering guest but that's BS. She was all over taking care of other guest even when she wasn't needed. She kept no communication with us. She also sent someone to tell us my service dog wasn't allowed there when they knew. I had to show the service dog license. We went to the onsite bar after the wedding and the only word she said to my fiancé was "what do you want to drink?" No congratulations, no is there anything else I can do for you. Nothing! We met some awesome ladies there the day we arrived and the following day, they asked the front desk if they could leave a package for us and asked if they knew where we were. They were instantly rude to them as well. Apparently they have issues with LGBTQ people because we witnessed a completely different attitude when they handled other guest. It was extremely upsetting and they made our Wedding Eve terrible! It was so bad it caused a lot of emotions because the treatment was so bad. No one felt welcomed. The bartenders were the only nice people at the resort. Very nice bartenders. PS. They're nice until the day of knowing you get no refund when it's the day of the event.

Panelling, old carpet, older looking furniture, but very cozy. Our unit had two bedrooms, a tiny kitchenette area, a living room and dining room area that kind of blended together. The AC worked great and there was a cable Tv in the living room. It's got a cabin feel to it, but again, was very nice. What really made the place great was it's sitting right on the lake shore. Our unit was a short walk across the parking lot to the beach area. There was shuffle board, a fire pit, a playground and plenty of beach area and chairs available. There was even a couple wood swings and a cornhole game set up. The owners were super friendly. Each unit has a charcoal grill that we used. The room had dishes and silverware. A coffee maker but no filters. The beds were cozy, and the place was really quiet. Our unit was right near the main road and we didn't even hear the traffic. I would definitely stay here again, we wished we could of stayed a few days longer after only staying one day. The price was right too, I think our off season rate (after Labor Day) was only $75 a night.
