Had such a fun weekend attending the first Northwoods Knit & Purl retreat. Great facility; spacious and clean.

Can you tell me more about the lake? It seems kind of small being under 90 acres? Is it a busy lake? I am looking to possibly purchase on this lake and wanted some local feedback. Thank you in advance.…

Hello. We own a small resort on the north shore of Lake George. This is a wonderful lake and yes, it is only 90 acres but it is all sports and has some very deep areas up to 65 ft. It is spring fed and there is a very nice boat launch on the…

Maybe they have had issues or something with people "speeding" before but I'm sorry I feel this is a bit extreme to be chased down like this.

They should fix that, even though sign are posted that they are slippery. The pool was great, warm, clean. Activities could be improved upon however. People do not read the paper or even remember to pick one up and nobody reads the whitewash board with printed activities listed on it. We lost our power twice throughout the whole campground for a few hours each time but all in all it gave everyone an opportunity to get out and about and gab with their neighbors. Playground equipment is need of minor repair but the kids liked it anyways. This park is for the older generation by far compared to their other parks. Clean, neat, quiet. We enjoyed our stay very much. They are working on this park to improve it like making pretty wooden benches to sit on, a volley ball court, and other things. It is a work in progress. I give this park four stars at this time.

It always sucks. This last trip, on our second day, we left after taking almost 3 hours for 6 holes. A ranger actually came up to us and explained how 2 groups ahead of us they were taking way too long to find lost balls. Why the @#%&# would he not insist that they limit their search time? We left after just those 6 holes. I love the courses, but I doubt I will ever play there again. Even on "good" days it's nearly 6 hours for as round. What a shame. I'm sure as long as they fill their tee sheets, they will never have their rangers do anything to speed up pace of play.

It was a great choice! This was a Tuesday night in February, so we were able to get a very good price on a double queen suite. Room was clean, comfortable and no issues. We had planned to go skiing Tuesday evening but ended up at the pool with our kids. The main lodge has a decent size pool that starts indoors and continues outdoors. There is an indoor hot tub and an outdoor hot tub. Also there are two Saunas. The kids were enjoying themselves so much we didn't even get to go skiing! On Wednesday we got breakfast at the top of the hill. We have eaten here before and it's always been good. After breakfast we got our gear and headed to the slopes. Treetops isn't a huge hill, but for the value midweek and 3 lifts, it's was a great time. We got started right at 10am and skied until about 4pm before heading home. There was almost no traffic and it was non stop skiing. The kids loved it as well and really enjoyed the beginners terrain park they built.

We had our wedding here and they were extremely rude and hateful towards us and our wedding guest. They were also giving out our room number to be jerks without verifying they were with the wedding party. We paid $400 to use their arch that they did not decorate. I had to get help with it. The event coordinator Christina, walked past us and didn't acknowledge us after we checked in. It was very rude. As a coordinator, you should check in with your guest once they are settled. I had to go track her down because we needed to go over a few details for the beach wedding. She claimed she wasn't ignoring us but that's a bold face lie. She still did not speak or acknowledge my now husband the entire weekend. She said nothing else to me after I tracked her down the day we arrived. She said she doesn't like bothering guest but that's BS. She was all over taking care of other guest even when she wasn't needed. She kept no communication with us. She also sent someone to tell us my service dog wasn't allowed there when they knew. I had to show the service dog license. We went to the onsite bar after the wedding and the only word she said to my fiancé was "what do you want to drink?" No congratulations, no is there anything else I can do for you. Nothing! We met some awesome ladies there the day we arrived and the following day, they asked the front desk if they could leave a package for us and asked if they knew where we were. They were instantly rude to them as well. Apparently they have issues with LGBTQ people because we witnessed a completely different attitude when they handled other guest. It was extremely upsetting and they made our Wedding Eve terrible! It was so bad it caused a lot of emotions because the treatment was so bad. No one felt welcomed. The bartenders were the only nice people at the resort. Very nice bartenders. PS. They're nice until the day of knowing you get no refund when it's the day of the event.

This weekend, I went skiing at two awesome ski resorts with my dad, named Treetops and Otsego Ski…read moreresort. Otsego was even funner than Treetops. It had a café, five individual lifts, plenty of fun trails and a massive terrain park. The café at Otsego was a very nice one, and had a large fire which was great to come into on a cold day. Unfortunately I wasn't able to be there for too long, and therefore couldn't see too many things that they served, but one thing I know was that the hot chocolate is great and the candy bars are delicious. The trails at Otsego were also great, but had a bit of a higher skill level. They had a few easy blues and greens, like Für Elise and Alan's alley for begenners, but no bunny hill, a load of blacks like waterfall and master's, two steep duo trails that me and my dad very much liked and even a few fun double blacks like Bob's Glade, a exciting and adrenaline-giving slope that emptied out into a easy green. The terrain park was also super fun, with gigantic jumps that sent me very high up into the air but no rails, which was ok but not as cool as it could be. The only rail I could find was a few rotten blocks of wood that someone had thrown together and then left to the power of the forest.

Nothing 5 star but all very nice. Property had fire pits that were great for sun sets. Beaches were cool but I'd recommend driving to some other actual nice soft sand beaches. Nice common area with a fireplace and comfy couches. The views were amazing. Cons: The front desk staff seems unhappy and passes that along to you. As other reviewers have mentioned, they aren't flexible when it comes to changing your stay or checking in/out earlier than the stated times, so make sure your plans are very solid before booking, even in the dead of winter. Parking is very limited. We were expecting guests to drop by for a quick visit (two hours tops) and asked where they could park. We were directed across US-31 (a busy four-lane thoroughfare) to an overflow lot. We asked if there was anything closer, as one person is in a wheelchair, but they didn't budge. (The parking lot in front of the hotel was empty except for our car at that point.) I'm giving this four stars because it is an impressive property and the winter prices are quite low, but keep in mind that the customer experience wasn't great.
