It was a small job, but my only availability is on weekends, which I know are usually busy. I stopped by a few other jewelry stores nearby, but they all told me to come back on Monday because they were too busy. On my way home, I decided to give Southampton Jewelry Exchange a try. Even though the store was busy, everyone was incredibly friendly, and they added the links in just a few minutes completely for free. While I was there, I also left my wedding ring to be resized since it had been feeling a little loose and had been bothering me for a while. This is definitely going to be my go-to spot whenever I need jewelry or watch work done in the future.

I returned the watch and they observed the watch for a few days and the problem did not occur, so the watch was returned to me without anything done. The watch hands froze up again twice this week and again I returned to the Southampton store for the same problem. The store people told me they were going to watch the watch to see if there was a problem. I have photos of the frozen watch hands but that was not enough to convince them! Then they said they would send it out again and get me an estimate for the repair, at my cost!! I have always had this watch repaired at Southampton's London Jewelers without any quality issues, but at the time I sought out help from Corwin's, my "go to" place was closed. One star for Corwin for terrible customer service, and waste of my time over multiple trips there. They claim the intervention to fix the dial had nothing at all to do with the hands freezing the week after their repair man fiddled with the piece. I simply to not accept this failure to make things right and will never use nor recommend doing business with Corwin again. One hour later addendum: Corwin messaged me to let me know that my initial payment of $85 is going to be refunded to me. Note that I was repeatedly clear about the watch intermittently stopped and gets going when I reset the hands. At no time did Corwin tell me that they would pay for the added repair costs. I did get quite angry with the staff due to the frustration over how my concerns were addressed, and I apologize. Update: Corwin's did refund me and I put up with the watch that continued to repeatedly stop. I brought it today September 25, 2025, into Southampton's London Jewelers for that same problem. Their expert took it and opened it up immediately and said the problem was probably from a loose battery not being secured properly by a plate. He explained that he observed the battery to be loose when it was supposed to be held snugly in place. He said the battery was fine and that there was no need to send it out for repair. Not only did I appreciate the friendly and helpful London Jewelers staff, the location has incredibly delicious quality chocolate cookies and other treats (free) while you wait. Finally, the watch was returned to my wrist with the time reset and I was wished well and WAS NOT CHARGED. Now that is perfect customer service! Unfortunately that initial trip to Corwin's long ago, was on a day London Jewelers, my usual go-to-place, was closed.

I feel terrible for not purchasing anything because the sales girls working there were all such sweethearts. They were kind, patient, offered up advice/recommendations, were happy to assist us in trying on jewelry from the cases and were not pushy at all. We all tried on so much jewelry and I tried several pairs of earrings that I'm (still) undecided about and the sales girls just went out of their way to find other colors/styles for me without any hesitation or attitude. They really were so nice. I'm still deciding on the earrings but will only go back there to purchase, if I decide on them. Pleasant experience with decent/fairly priced merchandise.

Not only did she pick up a pair of earrings from their Southampton location and drive them to East Hampton for me, but was in communication with me every step of the way. She was professional, personable and reliable. It was a real pleasure working with a sales associate that has a genuine passion for what she does. Unfortunately, to no fault of her own, the cuff earrings did not fit me as they should but that didn't stop her! Although I was given the option of returning the earrings for a refund, Gianna knew how much I loved them and instead, is working closely with their production team in NYC to resize them for a perfect fit! Being a business owner myself, I know the importance of having the right sales associates representing your company and product, and Gianna and her team go over and beyond to make sure your experience is something worth sharing. I prefer shopping in smaller specialty shops and Im happy to say, I have now found a "jewelry" boutique that I look forward to frequenting - Beautiful merchandise and Superb Service, a winning combination!
